Candidates must complete Class 10, Class 12/ Diploma and bachelor's degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate or equivalent CGPA to apply for MBA programme at Amrut Mody School of Management. Amrut Mody accepts national or university-level Management entrance exams for MBA admission. Candidates need to qualify MAT/ XAT/ CAT/ NMAT/ CMAT to get admission in MBA programme. After completion of the selection rounds, the admission offers are made to the eligible candidates.

Applications received within a stipulated date, as specified by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid, are automatically eligible for consideration for the award of the Ahmedabad Fellowships and Ahmedabad Scholarships.

Candidates are first required to register for the course of their choice at AMSOM. Amrut Mody School of Management shortlists candidates for MBA programme based on national or university-level Management entrance exams such as , CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT followed by WAT and personal interview round. Besides, Admission to UG courses are based on merit in the last qualifying exam. AMSOM conducts AMSOM PG Aptitude Test for MS admission.

Amrut Mody School of Management offers admission to UG courses based on merit. Hence, aspirants do not require passing an entrance test for UG programme. However, aspirants applying for PG courses need to have a score in any of the accepted entrance exams. The school conducts AMSOM PG Aptitude Test for MS programmes.
