Scholarship for all Programmes (except BTech Programme):

Need-Based Scholarships-
Students from diverse backgrounds are provided the opportunity to gain an education at Ahmedabad University through Need-Based Scholarships. Do not let the cost of an Ahmedabad education deter you from applying. Over 80 per cent of students who apply for financial aid to cover the costs of their education receive support from Ahmedabad University.

-Students with an annual family income up to INR 6 lakh are eligible for a 90 – 100% tuition fee waiver, subject to audit.
-Students with an annual family income between INR 6 lakh to INR 15 lakh are eligible for a partial tuition fee waiver, subject to audit.
-We also provide a few housing scholarships for students from outside of Ahmedabad to those who may have a higher need.

Please Note: In case a student qualifies for both, an Academic and a Need-Based Scholarship, the Academic Scholarship will be awarded first, and the Need-Based Scholarship will include the balance (if any).

Merit Fellowships:

The following fellowships recognise and acknowledge academic achievements of stellar undergraduate students in all disciplines.

-The Vice Chancellor’s Fellowship: This fellowship offers students a one-time fellowship of INR 3 lakh.
-The Executive Provost’s Fellowship: This fellowship offers students a one-time fellowship of INR 2 lakh.
-The Dean’s Fellowship: This fellowship offers students a one-time fellowship of INR 1 lakh.

Merit Scholarships:
Merit Scholarships are awarded from the second year onwards to the highest-scoring students of each Programme based on their academic performance (scoring a minimum CGPA of 3.5) at the University.

-The number of Merit Scholarships for each Programme will be proportionate to the number of students enrolled in the Programme.

Stepwell Scholarships:

The Stepwell Scholarships promote and encourage students in some specific Majors in the Arts and the Sciences and offer students a waiver of up to 40% of the tuition fees for the entire duration (4/5 years) of their programme at the University.

A few select students choosing the following Majors will be eligible for these scholarships:

History
Integrated Arts
Mathematics and Computational Sciences
Philosophy, History and Languages
Physics
Social and Political Sciences

Mahatma Gandhi Scholars Programme:

1.The Mahatma Gandhi Scholars Programme seeks to bring to Ahmedabad University some of the brightest and most talented students across the country.
2.The Scholarship provides a full tuition fee waiver, and room and board for students from outside Ahmedabad, for the entire duration of the Bachelors or Integrated Masters Programme.
3.The Mahatma Gandhi Scholars Programme also provides other benefits for selected students.

This is a University-wide Scholarship across all of Ahmedabad University’s Programmes and Majors.

Ahmedabad University will fully sponsor Mahatma Gandhi Scholars for the entire duration (4/5 years) of their Bachelors / Integrated Masters programme at the University. They will have the following benefits:

Full tuition fee waiver
Fee waiver for any Independent Study Period courses
Hostel fees (for students from outside of Ahmedabad)
Reimbursement for the purchase of a laptop
