Dr. Goon: Competition from established names is the largest challenge for emerging colleges. Today, students and parents are seeking credibility and outcomes, and we focus on demonstrating our commitment through quality education, innovation, and strong industry associations. Another challenge that is constant is responding to technology changes and the structure of NEP 2020, and that compels us to remain constantly adaptable and receptive to change.

Q2. How does ECMT design its curriculum for student advantage?
Dr. Goon: We consciously exceed the mandated syllabus. One-third of our curriculum is skills-based and includes topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Digital Marketing. We also focus on soft skills and communications. What we want to do is that when students graduate, they have more than just theory; they have practical skills which are sought after by employers.

Q3. What is your long-term vision for the college?
Dr. Goon: ECMT aims to place us among the top institutions of Eastern India not only in management and technology but also in health sciences and allied fields. We are planning for greater international collaborations, joint research initiatives, and student exchanges that will make our learners familiar with international standards of education.

Q4. Can you tell us about the quality of education and faculty at ECMT?
Dr. Goon: A lot of importance is given to the quality of teaching. Our faculty members have good academic and industrial experience. In addition to this, the college has invested in the latest facilities, which include smart classrooms, ERP-based systems, AI research infrastructure, language labs and digital libraries. The combination creates an ecosystem in which students are prepared to join the world they will be entering.
