Our college is the best college.

Placements: Placement percentage is 50 to 60%. Every year many reputed companies conduct interviews. Tata, Ambuja, L&T, Vodafone, and many companies visit every year. The salary offered is Rs.15,000 to 20,000 per month. Placement cells help students very well.

Infrastructure: College has 6 departments like Mining Engineering, Mining Surveying, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. It provides free Wi-Fi. Classrooms are well furnished, library and lab condition is not so well. There are 3 hostels, 2 boys and 1 girls hostel. SB hostel is for 1st-year boys and mining hostel is for 2nd and 3rd-year boys. Hostel condition is not so good but value for money. The monthly meal charge for SB hostel is nearly Rs.2000 and the guard charge is Rs.230.

Faculty: Teachers are very well friendly and helpful. Civil Engineering is a popular branch of this college. It helps students very well for their future. Many students from West Bengal and outside like Bihar, and Jharkhand are finding an advantage to take admission to this college. Pass percentage is 40%.

Other: Classrooms, labs, and library conditions would be better if improved.

Review of Asansol Polytechnic.

Placements: Almost 50% of students in my course got placed last year. The highest package offered was 2.8 Lacs per annum, and the lowest package was 1.8 lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies are the local companies like Balaji Enterprises etc. We generally don't get internship offers. The top roles offered are JE and assistant engineer.

Infrastructure: The hostel facilities in our college are average. Wi-Fi is available in our college, but the password is not provided for students. The campus has very good lab facilities. All the equipment is available. We have quite big classrooms and a well-stacked library. We have a separate medical room. The food quality in the mess is average.

Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and very knowledgeable but are not so helpful. The teaching quality is good but not very high. The course is very relevant and makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are quite difficult, and the passing percentage is 33%.

Other: I chose this course because I like it. The best thing is the placement opportunities. There is a yearly fest organized for freshers.

I like this college as it is a great government polytechnic college.

Placements: In our civil engineering department, nearly 90% of students got placements in core companies with very good salaries. No students get internships in the civil engineering department.

Infrastructure: Our campus and infrastructure are absolutely fine and amazing. Free Wi-Fi is not available on the college campus. Classrooms are good. Labrotaris are amazing. The library is not that good. It's dusty and unmaintained.

Faculty: Our course curriculum is not that relevant. It should be encouraged more. Teachers are helpful, highly qualified, and behave like our friends. Semester exams are very difficult in our course, so students should be regular.

Other: Events should be promoted more.
