Review of Asansol Polytechnic.
Placements: Our college provides placements to almost 60% of students. The metallurgy department provides the highest placements in this college. In this department, almost 95% of students got placed in various companies like L&T, JSL, JSPL, Rashmi Metaliks, Tata Metaliks, Shyam Steel, Super Smelter, Jay Balaji, etc. The highest salary package offered is 3.60 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2.40 LPA. Our department provides placements in L&T and other companies.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are not so hygienic and clean but moderate. Labs are moderately furnished. Our Geology lab, survey lab, and electrical lab are well-furnished with equipment. Library is filled with many valuable books including technical and non-technical books. The librarian does not provide books to students because of the absence of library assistant. Our college does not provide Wi-Fi to students. The hostel's environment is very friendly and smooth. Hostel infrastructure is not so good but in the hostel, there is an extra aliveness. Our college has 3 hostels, including a girls' hostel. The food quality is moderate, and the monthly meal charge is Rs.1,500. In the SB Hostel, the 2nd-semester JEXPO students reside, and Mining Hostel is reserved for 2nd and 3rd-year students.
Faculty: Teachers are very well-educated and friendly. They teach us very well. In our department, Asikul sir, NJB sir, and Golam Sir are friendly. In our 1st year, Mathema teacher and Bappa Maji sir also taught us very well. They are very knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. Semester exam is taken by our college at an interval of 6 months, and internal exams are taken 2 times per semester. Question's hardness is moderate. The minimum passing percentage of the students is 40%.
Other: I chose mining engineering because I love mining. The best thing is how the people and our respected mining engineer brother are working in the mines. Every year, fresher's welcome party is conducted by students. Teachers' day is also observed in our college. Oasis, Swami Vivekananda Means cum merit, etc., are scholarships are provided. The nearest railway station is Asansol Junction which is 1.5 km from Asansol Polytechnic.

Our college is number 1 Polytechnic Institute in West Bengal.
Placements: About 97 percent student got placed from our Institute. Our branch metallurgy has the highest placement opportunity. Top recruiting companies are JSPL, JSL, Shyam Metaliks, Rashmi Metaliks, Gagan, Jay balaji Durgapur, Super smelter etc. They take many students from our college. The average package they offered is 200000 INR and the highest package is 360000 INR.
Infrastructure: I am now reading in first year. Yet I have not entered into metallurgy department. I will enter in metallurgy department in 2nd year. College does not provide free Wi-Fi and lab quality is not so good. There are no lab assistant in many laboratory. Classrooms are well furnished and moderate. Library is full of many valuable books but librarian doesn't provide book to the students because of lack of library assistant. Hostel quality is very good. Our college have 3 hostels including a girl's hostel. Food quality is moderate. 1st year JEXPO students reside at SB Hostel and 2nd- 3rd year reside at Mining Hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and well qualified and also knowledgeable. All are most helpful and friendly teachers. They teach the students very well. Sems are taken in an interval of 6 months. In between 2 internal exams are also taken by department teacher. Question is moderate hard but not difficult to pass the examination. The minimum passing mark in internal, external and also overall is 40 percentage.
Other: Metallurgy has a bright future in many plants i.e., Steel and Iron Industry. In West Bengal Asansol Polytechnic metallurgy student have many advantages in job life. Campus life is very smooth and ragging free. Ragging is a punishable offense in our college. Seniors are very friendly and also helpful from all side.

My college is very good, in terms of placement.
Placements: The placement percentage is 60-70%. The average package is 4 LPA, and the minimum package is 2 LPA. Top recruiting company are Jindal steel, jsl, jsw, amns, arrora, Hindalco, etc. Top roles like operation, supervisor are offered in my course.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi in the classroom, but in computer lab there is Wi-Fi. Hostel facility is very bad, and not well furnished. In my college, annual sports activities are done.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful. Their teaching quality is very good, as they are well educated. This is av100% industry related course, and practical. Semester exams are conducted and are of moderate difficulty.
