My honest review of my college.
Placements: Placements are taken very seriously, and they make sure that their students get the best offers from the best companies. College has set a pattern for the interview sessions, and the management committee gives proper training and development sessions to students, so that they have an advantage of knowledge of what they will expect in an interview.
Infrastructure: There is a hostel on the college premises, but now the hostel building has been transformed into the administrative block, and for now, there are no facilities like a hostel. There is a canteen inside the college premises for all students.
Faculty: The exam structure is very comprehensive. Assignments, internal exams, external exams, projects, presentations, practicals, etc., are designed in a way that a student will get to know their true potential from time to time. The course curriculum is what decides if students will learn anything in college or not. The course includes well-thought-out lesson plans, assignments, tests, internals, projects, seminars, guest lectures, field visits, etc. Everything is well-planned, and a student can understand, learn, and grow. The course is divided into 6 semesters, continuing an internship programme for 6 months in the final semester.

Well-qualified teachers, good infrastructure, supportive environment, and decent placement support.
Placements: Around 60-70% of students from our batch got placed in companies through college placement drives. The highest package offered is around 6 LPA, with an average package of 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Capgemini, and Tech Mahindra. Some students also got internship offers from startups and mid-level IT firms, especially in web development, testing, and data handling roles. Internships are a mixture of on-campus and self-applied. Top roles offered are software developer, system analyst, QA tester, and data analyst.
Infrastructure: The department is equipped with good Wi-Fi connectivity, computer labs, and a library with academic and technical resources. Classrooms are clean and equipped with projectors. Overall, infrastructure supports a good learning environment. Hostel facilities are decent with clean rooms, timely food service in the mess, and basic medical facilities. The food is average but hygienic. There are also sports grounds and common areas where students can engage in indoor games and group activities. Campus is well maintained, though improvements in seating areas and reading rooms can enhance the student experience.
Faculty: Faculty members in the MCA department are well-qualified, supportive, and knowledgeable in their respective subjects. They are always ready to help and explain concepts clearly, especially during practical sessions. Course curriculum is fairly aligned with industry standards, covering programming, databases, data analytics, and software engineering. With some additional certification or projects, students can become industry-ready. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, mostly focused on understanding rather than written learning. The pass percentage is quite good for students who attend lectures regularly and complete assignments on time.
Other: I chose the MCA course because of my strong interest in software development and data science. The course structure is designed to build technical, logical, and analytical skills. The best part is the guidance provided by faculty members during practicals and projects. The annual teach fests, seminars, and cultural events are well-organized and encourage student participation. However, more campus recruitment drives and industry guest lectures would help bridge the gap between academics and job readiness. Campus environment is peaceful and supportive, and extracurricular activities are available but can be expanded.

Good college for Masters in Chinchwad .
Placements: The average placement opportunities offer packages around 4 LPA, providing decent entry-level options for graduates. Top recruitment companies include major IT firms like TCS and Infosys, which frequently hire for various technical and management roles.
Infrastructure: The college did not provide hostel facilities, which meant students had to seek off-campus accommodation. This often required additional planning and expenses for students to arrange housing nearby, imparting convenience and adding to their overall living cost.
Faculty: The faculty at the college is known for being supportive and approachable, providing students with a positive learning environment. Students can expect consistent guidance from their professors and the Head of Department (HOD), fostering academic growth and mentorship.

Decent college with good placements, helpful faculty, and average facilities.
Placements: The placement of our course was decent, and many students got jobs in good companies. Top roles offered were software developer, QA tester, and web developer. Several students also got internships through campus and online platforms. Good college thank you.
Infrastructure: Our department had good facilities like Wi-Fi, computer labs, smart classrooms, and access to the library. The hostel was average, with basic facilities, and the food in the mess and canteen was okay but not great. Medical support was available, and sports and games were conducted regularly for students.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful and had good knowledge of their subjects, and the teaching quality was decent. The course curriculum was mostly relevant and covered the basics needed for the industry. Semester exams were moderate in difficult, and the pass percentage was quite high for most students.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in computers and wanted to build a career in IT. The course had good practical sessions, helpful teachers, and regular events and workshops. Some subjects need updating, but overall the campus crowd, fests, and extracurricular activities were enjoyable.

It is a decent course but needs improvement in facilities and activities.
Placements: In the previous batch, a smaller number of students were placed. Mainly in sales, marketing, and manufacturing roles, with the lowest and decent packages. There is a strong interest in top IT software companies. Many students also get internships in reputed firms like TCS and Wipro.
Infrastructure: The campus has basic facilities like classrooms, labs, Wi-Fi, and a library, but maintenance is lacking. Hostel rooms are okay, but cleanliness is below average. Sports and medical facilities need improvement. In-out rules for going outside also need to improve.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well-qualified, with good subject knowledge. The curriculum is mostly relevant and provides decent industry exposure. Semester exams are moderately difficult, which is okay. The overall pass percentage is good. Practical exams are also good.
Other: I chose this course to build a strong foundation in my field and explore career opportunities in IT sectors like developer and tester. The course improved by updated content and training.

ASM IBMR Cutoff FAQs

Q:   What are the factors affecting ASM's Institute of Business Management and Research cutoff 2023?
A:
The cutoff for ASM's Institute of Business Management and Research in 2023 may be influenced by several factors. While I don't have access to the specific cutoff details for the institute in 2023, here are some general factors that can affect the cutoff:
  1. Number of applicants: The total number of applicants for a particular programme can impact the cutoff. If there is a high demand for seats, the cutoff may be higher.
  2. Difficulty level of the entrance exam: The difficulty level of the entrance exam accepted by the institute, such as CAT, MAT, or CMAT, can also impact the cutoff. If the exam is relatively more challenging, the cutoff may be lower.
  3. Previous year's cutoff: The previous year's cutoff can serve as a reference point for determining the cutoff in the current year. If the institute aims to maintain a similar standard, the cutoff may not deviate significantly from the previous year.
  4. Reservation policy: The reservation policy mandated by the government can also affect the cutoff. Different categories, such as SC, ST, OBC, and EWS, may have separate cutoffs based on the reservation policy.
  5. Program popularity: The popularity of a particular programme can influence the cutoff. If a programme is highly sought after, the competition may be tougher, resulting in a higher cutoff.
