Assam Institute of Management is the best college in Northeast India.
Placements: Our college is the best for placement in Northeast reason after IIM Shillong. The placement team works extremely hard for the placement of all the students. Our college provides 100% guaranteed placements for all the students. Many companies like Asian Paints, HDFC Bank, etc., visit our college for placements.
Infrastructure: The whole campus is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi facility. Labs are equipped with the latest version of windows. The hostel is under construction. Our college provides a sports room and a canteen for students to pass their free time.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful. Students are lucky to have this kind of teachers, and these type of teachers are really hard to find. They are highly qualified. Their teaching quality is awesome. The course curriculum is flexible, and it makes the student ready for the corporate world.

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty because of their innovative examples, and fast Wi-Fi.
Placements: Good companies visited for placement. At least 80% of our batch and around 80-85% of the senior batch got placed. The highest package offered was around 6 LPA and the lowest was around 2.5 LPA. Many FMCGs, financial institutions, retail industries, tyre industry, etc. visited the campus. The roles offered were like management trainee, sales executive, relationship manager, business planner, etc. Around 80 - 85% students got an internship from college. The highest stipend paid was around 15k p.m. and the lowest was 5k p.m.
Infrastructure: A huge campus situated around 12 km from the main city. Eco-friendly environment, big space for amusement and sports lovers. Great innovative classrooms. Fast and secured Wi-Fi in each and every classroom. A Canteen is also there within the campus which provides good, hygienic food at a very economic rate. The hostel was under construction during my tenure, hope it is completed by now. Bus facilities offered at good rate. The location is non residential in nature.
Faculty: Very friendly faculty members. Always ready to help on and off campus whenever required by the students. They are highly experienced and qualified in their respective jobs with great examples making it easier for the students to understand. The student to faculty ratio was 70:1 or sometimes 2 in exceptional classes. Guest faculty members from well-renowned colleges were a boon for the students. We did get industry as well as different institutional exposures like a visit to Tata Steel and Tata Motors in Tata Nagar and different researchers' institutes during my tenure. The course curriculum was quite useful and necessary in forwarding a step in the corporate world.

Average MBA college with good teachers, fewer facilities, poor infrastructure, & average placements.
Placements: We had around 60 students. Around 40–45 students got placed. But the only thing was that most of them were placed in private banks, and a few were placed in other companies. The highest package was around 5 LPA, and the average was 3 LPA. The roles were sales managers and HR. For the internship part, we had to find our own company for an internship.
Infrastructure: The college did not have much of a facility. They had Wi-Fi, but not for students. A projector was available in each classroom, and AC was also available. Other things, like a playing room for indoor games and a library, were available, which only acted as a storage for semester book distribution. Hostel facilities were not provided.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They knew how to teach students and had very good teaching techniques. The course available was only MBA, and no other courses were offered, which somehow made the student industry-ready. The semester exams were not too difficult. You scored good marks, and if you studied at least something, you passed without having backlogs.
Other: I wanted to do an MBA somewhere else, but could not do so, so as a backup, I chose this college. Studying for an MBA made me more time efficient, helped me know things going on around the world, and understand market trends. I felt an MBA would be better if it had changes in its course, like it should be made in such a way that it could tackle all the necessary things required in today’s companies, which were mostly taken by science students.

It is one of the best institutes for MBA.
Placements: Almost 80% of students got placed in our institution. The college is quite good for placements. The highest package offered is almost 10-12 Lacs per annum, and the lowest package is 4-5 Lacs per annum. Companies like Asian Paints, etc., come to the campus. 80-90% of students got internships. Top roles like HR, manager, etc., are offered.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our institution is good. There are smart classes available. Projectors and screens are available in the classrooms. Wi-Fi is available. The hostel facility is good. Good quality meals are provided in the canteen. The library is useful for the course.
Faculty: The faculty members are very friendly and supportive. They are highly qualified. The teaching quality is good. The semester exams are quite difficult, but it helps to build a good career in the future. The curriculum is based on practicals also, and it helps students to get industry-ready.
