The 2022 placement drive at ISDI concluded with 65% of the total students placed. The institute has also released the specialisation-wise placement rate. Communication Design, Strategic Design Management, and Animation & VFX specialisation recorded a 100% placement rate during 2022 placements. ISDI admission is based on merit and an entrance exam called the ISDI Challenge. The ISDI Challenge consists of three parts:

1. Portfolio or Design Project
2. Design Aptitude Test (DAT)
3. Online Interview

Candidates are evaluated based on their performance in these three components. The weightages are:

• Portfolio/Design Project - 40%
• DAT - 30%
• Interview - 30%

• Merit-based Admission

  For undergraduate programs, admission is primarily based on merit in the qualifying exam (Class 12). Candidates with higher marks in Class 12 have a higher chance of admission.

  Candidates first need to fulfill the eligibility criteria:

  • Pass Class 12 from a recognised board.
  • Minimum 60% aggregate marks in Class 12.

  Eligible candidates are then called for the ISDI Challenge. After clearing the ISDI Challenge, admission is granted based on merit.

As per the official record, Google offered the highest international package of INR 1.20 crore per annum during the 2022 placements. The second in the sequence was HYgraph with the highest package of INR 34 LPA. XAT 2026 registration process began from July 10, 2025. Official announcement of commencement of XAT registration process 2026 has been made by XLRI at its website. Interested candidates have to register for XAT 2026 by creating a login ID at xatonline.in website. The XAT application fee will be INR 2200. Candidates will have to pay the fee to submit the XAT application form.
