Basirhat College is a good college for medium-level students, neither great nor bad.
Placements: The college offered many courses for placements, but due to a lack of space, they could not accommodate many students. The highest scores students got were around 87%, and the lowest were around 45%. Direct recruitment by any company or organization was not held here.
Infrastructure: Classrooms, labs, and offices were good, but the toilets were not up to the mark. The hostel was far from the college premises. The hostel was not very crowded due to limited space, and mainly, students were from nearby areas. Hostel food was good, though.
Faculty: Teachers and teaching quality were great, I must say. The relationship between teachers and students was superb. Semester exams were not so tough, but it was fun to test our strength through them. I am sorry to say that the students were not industry-ready, but they got good life lessons here.
Other: Events and fests were managed by the student union. A mega fest was held at the beginning of every new batch.
