It provides good infrastructure.
Placements: Around 50-70% of students are placed. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Tata, Infosys, VI, Bajaj Wipro, Google, L&T, etc. Almost 90% of students get internships in Power Plants and Telecommunications communication companies.
Infrastructure: It provides very good facilities in laboratories and sports equipment. The hostel is also very good, and 24X7 water is available. It provides an electricity supply also. The food served in the mess is also good. The total charge for the boys' hostel is Rs 20,000 per semester including the mess fee, also grounds are well facilitated. The gym is also good.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly, experienced, and well qualified. The teaching quality is good, and students learn new things from teachers. This course is very relevant and makes students industry-ready but for government organisations it is not good.
Other: In this college, activities are excellent.

Overall, the college and campus are good.
Placements: Around 30% of students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered is 6.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, etc., visit our college to hire students from our course. Around 30% of students from our course got an internship. The top roles offered in our courses are data scientists, software developers, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities of our college are average. The hostel is also average. The libraries are good and maintained. The facilities of our hostel are good. Overall, the quality of food served in the canteen and mess is average. The sports complex is average as it has limited sports facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. The course is well organised and relevant. Students get knowledgeable information about their curriculum. The difficulty level of our semester exams is not that tough, and it is average. The pass percentage is 80-85%.
Other: I have chosen this course because from my childhood I wanted to go to some good engineering college. I thought that this course might be as easy as any other. Improvements should be made on campus, but the course is good. Events and fests organised are good. The campus and campus crowd are good.

Average college with helpful and qualified faculty.
Placements: Placement is average in the college because in this college students are not interested in direct placement rather they prepare for GATE examination and go for further studies. Most of the students are off-campus placed because the companies want more participants in their interview and this college offers a maximum of 120 students per branch.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of hostel is not so good because the food provided in the mess is of low quality. The students get non-veg food to eat only on Sundays. The food provided is not of our choice. Hostel quality is average. Hostel timings are punctual as the times are set for going outside the hostel.
Faculty: Some faculty members are excellent but on the other hand, some faculty members are the worst. Some faculty members have their Ph.D. degrees. Maximum faculty members are experienced as compared to other colleges as they complete their portion in time. But some faculty members are not able to complete their portion.
Other: Best things about this college are that you will get an excellent study environment.

I am quite satisfied with college life.
Placements: BIT is the best college to explore yourself. Still, based on placements, it is not excellent but only average because students are more interested in preparing for GATE rather than placement. It helps in creating a good studying environment.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not that good. The library is quite big with the air-conditioning facility, and Wi-Fi is available 24x7. I am a hosteler, and it is fun to live in hostels with good Wi-Fi speed. The mess is not good, and only on Sunday, we used to get non-vegetarian food.
Faculty: Faculty members of the EEE department are well-knowledgeable, and they have good teaching experience. Almost all faculty members have PhD degree, so it's a good opportunity for new students to come here and explore themself. The campus is good, but students should be sincere in studies after their 1st-year.
Other: The best thing about studying here is that you will get the best studying environment, and students are very serious about their studies.

Our college is improving in all aspects.
Placements: Out of 100 students, almost 45 students get placed from campus while others opt for GATE civil services and off-campus placements. Mostly the companies that visit our college for recruitment are Capgemini, Byju's, HCL, TCS and many software companies. Mostly the companies which visit are software companies that offer software jobs.
Infrastructure: Classrooms in our college are well and neat. They are well-equipped with projectors and screens. The campus has 24x7 Wi-Fi access. Even it has a separate building for the library. The quality of food served is average and hostels are not up to mark. The college has a separate ground for cricket, football, basketball and volleyball. We also have other indoor games. There are a lot of medical facilities with a bank inside our campus. Each department has well-equipped tools and machinery for proper usage.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are good and cheerful. They always try to motivate you to achieve your dreams. A good relation with them would help you a lot in gaining more CGPA in the semester as well as getting new ideas. According to the new scheme established in 2020 subjects which are not of significant use are removed, and the subjects are added as required by branch.
Other: Ojas is the fest that happens in our college, and it is one of the best fests in Chhattisgarh among all colleges.

The Great campus with enormous opportunities.
Placements: The placement scenario is very good if you are competent enough and have good skills you don't have to worry about placement. The average salary offered is around 3-4 LPA and the placement percentage is about 50%. Our branch has conducted placement session called Placenario to get the experience of the placement rounds.
Infrastructure: The facilities here are average but best in class than the other colleges of Chhattisgarh. We have small and green campus of about 50 Acres with well-equipped Labs we have D-Link lab, Texas Instruments lab, IOT lab and many more. The campus provides high-speed Wi-Fi network throughout the campus. The Infrastructure is well designed and hostel rooms are good but fairly managed.
Faculty: The teachers and faculty members are very helpful if we ask any doubt. We have well qualified teachers mostly PhD's and pursuing. The course curriculum is recently changed and renewed by the University (CSVTU) but it need some more improvement to provide practical knowledge to students.
Other: Our annual fest called Ojas is the biggest fest of central India, our college has many clubs and student chapters like photography, astrology, Dance club.

It is the best college for engineering after NIT Raipur in Chhattisgarh.
Placements: Around 19% of the students are placed from the EEE department, BIT Durg till date (2016-2020 batch). Our recruiters were Byju's, Capgemini, Cognizant, IBM, Panasonic, Tata Steels and Jaro. Some more companies are planning to recruit students in the coming months. The highest salary package was offered from Byju's, which is around 10 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was from Capgemini, which is around 3.84 LPA. Even Cognizant offered a salary package of 4 LPA. Analytics quotient offered a salary package around 5 LPA, and Panasonic offered around 6 LPA. One student from our department was placed in TCS NQT. Tata Steels recruitment results are yet to come. Capgemini offered software engineer post, and Cognizant offered programmer analyst trainee post. Tata Steels offered Junior engineer trainee post. Byju's offered the post of business development associate (sales). IBM, Jaro, AAI, Genpact offered internships to students of other departments of our college, like ETC, CSE and IT. Many other companies also visited the college this year for other branches like SAP LABS and Tricon and even the companies which are mentioned above for our department. More Companies are still recruiting, and many are yet to come. The main reason behind the small percent of students getting placed from our department is that many students are not willing to sit in campus drives because core recruiters are very few like Tata steels and Pansonic. Secondly, many students are preparing for competitive exams like GATE, CAT, UPSC, CGPSC, banking, RRB, SSC and many more tech and non-tech exams.
Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi, library, green campus, bank & ATM, student store, reference section are available in the college. The college also has a departmental library, college magazine, college fest, departmental events and newspaper, separate projector, E classrooms. It is a great campus with lush green environment, open-air theatre, centralised air-conditioned auditorium, sports complex, well-equipped labs and workshops, good hostel, mess, canteen, gym. There are many clubs like Astro club, IEEE club, Clicks Club, Quiz Club, Drama clubs like Utopia and Bol, Dance club. Our college organises technical-cultural fests like Ojas. College hostel is good. It is not a building but is like cottages in a row. Hostel campus is lush green. There are separate hostels for all the four years with warden and security to make the campus ragging free. Hostels are separate for boys and girls. Air-conditioners are installed only in some of the classrooms, but all computer labs have air-conditioners. There are two canteens and one Nescafe cafeteria in our college. Food served is good and very cheap. A separate mess is there for all years students. Food served in the mess is of average quality and not that good. The student store is there to provide students with whatever basic things and sources they need. There is a Clubhouse with indoor games like table tennis, chess, carrom and many more. There is a huge sports complex for all sports. Grounds are very large. Badminton courts are also available. Separate parking for boys, girls, staff and faculty is given. All the engineering departments are separate, and MBA/MCA/ humanities/core science departments are also separate with lush green environment and infrastructure.
Faculty: Every faculty at BIT Durg is post-graduated (B.Tech + M.Tech). Faculty members here are very helpful, and they assist us with great care and concern whenever required. The course curriculum is not that good. To a very small extent, the students are getting industry-ready because the practical world exposure and real work exposure is not of a good level. There is still a long journey for the college to travel so as to provide the aspiring engineers with true practical and real-world technicalities. Since two years the college has been trying to move the students ahead by sending them to Taiwan and the Czech Republic (Europe) on paid internships under student exchange programs (in some branches). The college has also signed many MOUs with some industries and companies. But still, many students need to be taken for students future welfare.
Other: I was interested in science since childhood, and in my 10+2, I developed a great zeal for physics and mathematics. So I took electrical and electronics engineering. This course is highly conceptual, and it makes me take more interest when we study about huge electrical power and control systems. This course needs to be taken to a more practical level so that students can be benefited in their work or career. The campus is amazing with every facility. It is the best college in Chattisgarh in terms of academics, infrastructure and facilities. Our college fest, named Ojas, is conducted every year.

If you don't get admission in NIT, then you can opt BIT.
Placements: Placements are more for computer science students and IT students. Companies visiting the campus are mostly the tech companies, whereas the core branches like electrical, mechanical, civil are left out. This is the reason why in BIT Durg the placement is mostly in the IT and CSE branches. Compared with electrical and electronics branch, our branch consisted of nearly 50-60 students in which only 10-12 got placed, and the rest went with the preparation of GATE. The topmost recruiting firms were Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra and some banking companies like HDFC and ICICI. Almost 20% of the students of the 2014-2018 batch got placed with the average salary package of around 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in the college was considerable, and college had all the basic facilities like Wi-Fi all over the campus, labs, library with sufficient books to read, sports complexes and mechanical workshops. Hostels were old, and they need renovation as the college is old since 1986. The food served in the hostel mess was bearable and good with hygiene conditions. Bank facility was available inside the campus with medical doctor cabin.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-experienced with more than 5 years of experience in their field of teaching. Their mode of teaching is more inclined towards theoretical aspects or book knowledge, whereas it lacks practical experience. Most of the students are preparing for the GATE, MBA, GRE exams because they cannot connect well with the subjects or their branches because of lack of interest. The course curriculum is obeyed under CSVTU syllabus, which is old and needs reauditing. It makes the student industry-ready as Bhilai Steel Plant, and many other core industry experiences are provided for vocational training, and students get the hands-on experience.
