It has strong labs and supportive faculty. There is scope for improvement in industry exposure.
Placements: Approximately 55-65% of students get placed, close to the institute-wide average of over 60%. Many professors are highly qualified, supportive during academic challenges, and offer guidance for GATE projects and internships.
Infrastructure: The central library holds more than 40,000 books and journals, including digital resources and access to online journals. Students also have access to a departmental library for Civil Engineering references. A 24x7 medical facility is available through the college dispensary, staffed with a president's medical officer. For severe cases, students are referred to the nearby government or private hospital in Jhansi.
Faculty: Faculty members in the Civil Engineering department at BIET Jhansi are generally well-qualified, with many holding M.Tech or PhD degrees from reputed institutes. The teaching methodology blends traditional chalk-and-talk with presentations and practical sessions. Faculty members incorporated field projects, surveys, and design models into learning activities, which enrich the understanding of applied engineering.

Do not take admission in this college unless you have a necessity.
Placements: As a 2nd year student in this college, the condition of placements is really bad. Hardly 40-50% of students get placed, and that too with very low packages. Last year, the average package was 5-5.5 LPA, the lowest reached 1.2 LPA, and the highest at 17 LPA. No good companies visit the campus, only some startups and service-based companies visit. Many companies, when I did my research, were also like fraud companies. So, you can assume only mass recruiters like TCS are the one that gives placements to 10-15 students, while other companies only take 1,2, or 3 students. The 64 LPA package in 2022 was an off-campus placement.
Infrastructure: There is 1 hostel for first year boys (Vrindavan Hostel) with average infrastructure. For the 2nd year, there are 3 hostels (APJ, Rajendra, and Sake), they get allotted based on the marks (YGPA) of the first year. Mostly, the top 10-15 students get APJ (single-person/room, good infrastructure), most students get Rajendra (2-person/room, good infrastructure), and students with some poor marks get Sake (the worst infrastructure, always leaks, and is dirty). In the 3rd year, there are 2 hostels, and in the 4th year, one hostel, both with single-room/person, and average infrastructure. For girls, there are 2 hostels, with average infrastructure. Don't expect Wi-Fi to work. The food is also not good, and the labs are broken. The academic buildings are really old, and computers don't even work. The campus feels like it is in the jungle.
Faculty: You will get qualified teachers here, but they don't take interest in teaching. Most of the teachers just focus on syllabus-completion and not on making students industry-ready. Only the Applied Science Department teachers are serious about their classes. The others just care for the students attendance to be above 75%, which becomes a really a great hurdle in studies of the students. We don't gain any knowledge by attending the classes, we still have to complete the attendance and have to study from different resources. Semester exams are okay, you can pass them if you find resources and complete the syllabus from there.
Other: Most people come here after reading false reviews about this college. Many say this college is just underrated. So, please take that out of your mind. Students only came to this college by mistake. No one is sure about the college, as none of the platforms have many reviews about this college, but the exposure here is really bad. No infrastructure, just a large area with only jungles. Skills are not taught, and the teachers are not good. Also, they say there are 60 seats in the branch, but they take 75 instead, sometimes even 80. There is a shortage of drinking water, so we mostly buy a camper from the van.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2028

Good for middle-class students as it feels affordable.
Placements: The highest package at BIET is approximately 64 LPA. Around 76% of students get placed in companies. The lowest package is around 3–4 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Physics Wallah, Mahindra, HCL, HLS Asian, etc. Almost every eligible student gets an internship.
Infrastructure: There are 11 hostels, 9 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls. Wi-Fi facilities are available all over the college campus and hostels. Classrooms are well arranged in separate blocks for different branches. A common library for all students and canteens are present in some hostels.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and experienced, and have qualified exams. Semester exams are conducted every 3 months, and regular class tests are held once a month. Passing these semester and class tests is easy with a few hours of study. Almost all students pass, though some may get back papers.
Other: Regular events and fests are conducted. All three modes of connectivity are present. Campus is less crowded.

Best for competitive exams.
Placements: The highest package of BIET is approximately 64 LPA. Approximately 76% of students get placed in companies. The lowest package is around 3–4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Physics Wallah, Mahindra, HCL, HLS Asian, etc. Around half of the students get internships.
Infrastructure: There are 8 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls. All hostels and the college campus are well connected with Wi-Fi named BIET. Labs and classrooms are well organized, with very well-skilled laboratory teachers. One common library is available for all students. One common dispensary is also present.
Faculty: All branches have skilled and experienced faculty. Regular semester exams are held every 3 months. As BIET is an autonomous college, it conducts its exams before AKTU and on time without any delay. Passing these exams is not hard, one night of study before the exam is enough to pass, and for scoring more marks, you should focus on class notes.
Other: Not much crowded, with a maximum of 75 students in a class. Regular fests are conducted in the college.

Average teaching, low fees, and good placement result in high ROI, best for government exam aspirant
Placements: Talking about CSE and IT in BIET, approximately 80 to 90% of students get placed here with an average package of around 4 to 6 LPA. The lowest package can be as low as 1.2 LPA, and the highest for the session 2024-25 is 30 LPA from a guy in CSE, though it is off campus. Mostly, the highest packages are off campus. Particularly in the IT branch, the highest package is 13 LPA on campus in Purplle company. Recruiters here are generally mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, and some new startups like i8cloud, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure includes a community center, a multi-purpose hall (MPH - auditorium), a student activity center (SAC) with indoor games and gym area, a central playground (CPG) for outdoor games, and an academic block which is the main building where classes happen; it is sufficient, has all labs and workshops, and has departments for all courses, which is good overall. There is also an innovative and incubation center (IIC) building related to placement, a good central library, a guest house, 7-8 boys hostels for all courses, and 2 girls hostels. Wi-Fi is available but poor, the mess is decent, and medical facilities are available.
Faculty: College offers a well-structured and industry-relevant curriculum. While some professors are knowledgeable and effective, others, particularly temporary faculty, may not meet the same standard. Overall, the teaching quality is average. Being an autonomous institution, the college conducts exams and declares results on time, ensuring a smooth academic schedule. Semester exams are relatively easy, with many questions drawn from previous years' papers, allowing most students to pass with a few weeks of preparation. A 75% attendance requirement exists, though enforcement varies by faculty. Overall, the academic environment is well-organized and manageable for students to succeed with consistent effort.
Other: This course is ideal for students seeking a cost-effective undergraduate education with an excellent return on investment, especially with the widely available scholarships that significantly reduce fees. The college’s relaxed academic environment makes it suitable for those preparing for competitive exams like GATE or UPSC. As a government institution, it ensures academic stability without excessive pressure. Events and fests are limited, primarily occurring in even semesters, including the tech fest INNOVENZA and various branch-level forums and literary activities. While overall development opportunities could be enhanced, the campus is well connected,10 km from Jhansi railway station and 105 km from Gwalior airport.

It is the best college for higher studies and competition exam preparation.
Placements: As I am from the ECE branch, there are not enough placements. The highest package is 64 LPA, and the average package is 4 LPA for all branch students. Companies that come are mostly from the software field, like HCL, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, PwC, etc. Almost 90% of students get placed according to their eligibility.
Infrastructure: Overall, the infrastructure of the college is old-fashioned. There are 11 hostels in BIET, Jhansi, in which all-year students live separately. Wi-Fi is provided all over the campus and hostel. The speed is not enough to depend on, as the area is also affected by the speed of the network.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and experienced. Some teachers are very irritating and frustrated. Some of them help students with their higher competition exams like GATE, UPSC ESE, etc. There are 2 semester exams in a year. In around 2 months, there is a class test. Exams are not hard enough, and we will pass them easily while learning the night before our exams.
Other: All eligible students get their scholarship with full document verification. I chose a higher branch. I don't have any practical reason to choose it, and I got it according to my JEE rank.
