It is an excellent college.

Placements: Almost 60% to 70% of students were placed at several national and international companies like TCS and Wipro. The salary package offered was 4 LPA to 5 LPA. The recruiting companies were TCS and Wipro. Around 60% of students got internships from our course.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure were very good in our department. Wi-Fi facilities were very good. Labs were also very good. Classrooms were very good. Our library was big. Almost all types of books were available. In our hostel, the food quality was good. There were gaming facilities.

Faculty: Teachers were great and helpful. They guided us very carefully. They also shared their knowledge with us. The course curriculum was relevant, and it made students industry-ready. The difficulty level of the exams was moderate. The pass percentage was about 85%.

Other: This course was very interesting, so I chose it. There were practical uses for this course.

Review of Burdwan Raj College.

Placements: After the completion of their graduation degree, most of the students opted for higher studies aiming for the research sector. Some of them also get admission into IITs after cracking JAM. Students also take part in exams like JEST, TIFR, etc. About two seniors of our department got admission into TIFR and IIT Bombay in 2020 and 2021. Most of the students are interested in higher studies and researching abroad.

Infrastructure: There are separate buildings for each department. As the college was built in 1881, buildings are old and carry the heritage of the locality. There is Wi-Fi all around the college campus. There is a very big ground inside our campus for sports. Annual day, cricket and football tournaments are organised by our students' council. Labs are quite good, but some instruments are old. The library is situated outside of our campus, and it is quite big with a various collection of good books. There are 3 boys hostels and 2 girls' hostels in our college. Mess food is good enough.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly. They help and motivate students to get better every day. Every faculty member is educated enough to run the college well. This course is designed to understand the depth of the basics. The course generates fundamental knowledge for technological advancement in future. It is an important course in producing professionals in various fields like engineering, medical department, biomedical science, etc. Semester exams are pretty good. Now because of covid, offline exams are not possible. So, the university is conducting online mode semester exams to carry forward the education. Almost every student passes semester exams because of the quality of education in our college.

Other: I have chosen this course because I like physics and wanted to learn about it deeply. The mystery of the universe has attracted me since my childhood. So, I have chosen the course to study astrophysics and become a researcher. There is no need to change anything about the course, and it is good enough. College-Social is the main event in our college. Besides those, students participate in the university fest, magazine publication, independence day event, teachers day event and many others. Students got scholarships from governments various schemes like SVMCM, inspire, minority scholarship, Oasis scheme, etc.

It has good faculty members, well labs, classrooms and a good library but doesn't have free Wi-Fi.

Placements: Placements are not provided here. However, after completing graduation if any student wants to do jobs, they are guided by the faculty members. Companies don't visit here to recruit students as it is normally a graduate college. However, faculty members are very much helpful and guide about career.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are huge, good and clean here. Labs are also good, but they need to have more instruments. There is no free Wi-Fi facility on the campus. The hostel is not good and should be improved. Girls hostel is also available, but the hostels are not allotted to every student. Only some students get it, but any student can find a mess near the college.

Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful and obviously knowledgeable. They never refuse to guide any student, and also they friendly with students. They also teach through projector if needed. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready. After completing B.Sc, students can pursue B.Tech to join in the industry.

Other: It is a very good course, and I will have enjoyment in it, so I have chosen it. Events are organised rarely by our college, but seminars on different subjects are conducted very frequently. Most of the office staff members are not helpful, but not every staff member. Some of them behave with students in a very bad manner.

Review of Burdwan Raj College.

Placements: About 29 students took admission in the first year, and 28 students passed out from our batch. Most of the students were opting for higher education like M.Sc. Few students are preparing for competitive exams, while few students got jobs in various institutions. About 4 students got admission in IIT for pursuing MSc.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi network is not available in our department, but the labs are very good. Books in the library are available all the time. There are two hostels in our college, i.e., NR hostel and FH Hostel. The annual fee of the hostel is Rs. 5,000.

Faculty: Teachers here are helpful and conduct classes every day. They teach us very carefully, and they are also highly educated and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is very good. This course is wonderful for curriculum activities, and it helps us to know the main part of science. It's my favourite subject.

Other: I have chosen this course because I like it, and this course is awesome and has the best part of science. There is no need to change anything in our course. Scholarships are also available here, which depend only on your previous year exam results.

The college could be better.

Placements: Some of my batchmates are pursuing Masters and rest are seeking for government jobs. I don't know much about placements. But indeed, some companies visited our college, and some students were placed. Some seniors, whom I know, were placed in TCS.

Infrastructure: Labs are average. They lack maintenance and instruments, especially the digital ones. The major problem is, the seating arrangement in labs is miserably poor. 1 or 2 stools are available in labs for almost 20-30 students. So, the students have to work standing continuously for 3 to 4 hours everyday. As a consequence, they fall sick sometimes. I think there should be sufficient seating facilities in labs so that the students can work properly. Everything else is good. Quality of food in the canteen is moderate.

Faculty: Most of the teachers were quite helpful in theoretical classes. Teaching quality was good. The student to faculty ratio was 4:1. But, the teachers must be more helpful in practicals. Some students really need their help.
