Great experience in getting a campus life.
Placements: Placements were generally aimed at or plausible for students of commerce, computer applications, and economics. Science courses, at least zoology, haven't had placements available for students of that specific course. Placements were offered by banks such as SBI, South Indian Bank, and some teaching institutions.
Infrastructure: The facilities available for academics were incredibly good. The college has a modernized library with a large collection of books for academic references and literature. College Wi-Fi is available but with restricted access. The departments are well-maintained and clean, with friendly non-teaching staff ready to help the students in every way they can. The college has a gym, and sports tournaments are very common. As a day scholar, I have no say or interaction with hostel facilities and food.
Faculty: Faculty members are some of the most brilliant minds you will ever see. They are well educated and qualified, and also talented and brilliant in transferring their knowledge to students. Almost every one of them is great as both a teacher and a human being. The curriculum provided for the courses is very relevant. Exams are generally average but can be difficult owing to the question setting. The evaluation is very strict every time, and it's more difficult than usual to pass.
Other: My world at CMS College was incredible, with incredible peers. I got to know some of the most important and incredible people in my life here. CMS is a hub of extracurricular activities and events. One can certainly enjoy their college life even if he or she has not performed well academically.

An efficient learning environment with strong faculty and practical exposure.
Placements: Around 20 - 30% of students from the Zoology department get placed through campus placements. Packages can vary. I cannot answer completely since I am unaware of them. Top CMS collaborations are Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, HCL, KPMG, Envestnet, Deloitte, etc. More than 50% of students get internships in many NGOs, reputed universities, and institutions.
Infrastructure: The Zoology Department of CMS College, Kottayam, has good facilities for students. There are spacious classrooms and a Zoology laboratory with microscopes and specimens for practical learning. The department also uses charts and models for better understanding. The college library provides books related to Zoology. Field trips are also conducted regularly to improve practical knowledge. There is a wonderful museum at the Zoology department which includes many organisms.
Faculty: The Zoology course is supported by qualified and experienced faculty who are approachable and use effective teaching methods, including lectures and practical skills. The curriculum is well-structured according to university guidelines and covers both theoretical and practical aspects such as cell biology, animal diversity, physiology, genetics, and ecology, along with fieldwork and projects. Examinations include internal assessments like tests, assignments, seminars, and practical records, along with end-semester university examinations, ensuring a fair and transparent evaluation system. As a student, Zoology university exams are standard and quite easy.
