Scholarships at CARE:-
1. General Scholarships for Students
-CARE offers scholarships up to 100% for “deserving students” across its various academic programs.
-These scholarships apply to a wide range of programs, including medicine, allied health sciences, nursing, architecture, and more.
-According to the CARE prospectuses, the scholarship is part of a student-support framework that offers “equal opportunity” even for socially and economically backward classes.

2.PhD / Research Scholarship-
- CARE provides a Chettinad Research Fellowship for full-time PhD scholars.
-The fellowship amount is ?16,000 per month, initially for two years, with a possible extension (based on progress) for a third year at the same stipend.
-Part-time PhD options are also available for internal (CARE teachers) and external candidates.
-CARE promotes interdisciplinary research and supports scholars in “thrust areas” such as biotechnology, systems biology, point-of-care diagnostics, regenerative medicine, etc.
3. Nursing-Specific Scholarship-
- For B.Sc. (Nursing), CARE offers scholarships of up to 30%, based on the student’s PCB aggregate in their 12th-standard board exams.
- A similar scholarship is offered for M.Sc. Nursing based on pre-degree or degree marks.
Chettinad Academy of Research and Education (CARE) was established in 2005 in Kanchipuram. The Institute is approved by UGC and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).Chettinad University is a deemed university that provides Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in several streams. The university conduct the entrance test for the MBBS program. The admission in this programme is based on the merit list of the entrance test. It provides faculty of medicine and home science. Before taking admission to this course, students have to follow the details of the admission process which is available on their official website. Chettinad Academy of Research and Education fees for these courses range from Rs 2 LPA - Rs 13 LPA approximately, depending on the degree level and duration of the course.
Yes, Chettinad Academy of Research and Education provides scholarships of up to 100% to eligible BPharm students. The scholarship is called Smt. Geetha Muthiah Outstanding Merit Scholarship. To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must have scored at least 95% in the qualifying exam. However, students are still required to pay the hostel, transportation, books and instruments costs. Other rates of scholarships available at the university are presented below:
