It is the worst college with the worst transport and the worst classroom facilities.
Placements: The worst placements are offered to students. Per year, we are paying Rs. 5,000 and a total of Rs. 20,000, but they do not provide quality placement education. The worst placement offers are provided to students, and they call companies with a package of 5 LPA only. However, other colleges provide starting packages from 5 LPA onwards.
Infrastructure: Our college has the worst benches and desks for us. It does not allow us to use a mobile inside the college, and we should hand over to the mobile counter, which is compulsory. In labs, computer screens are polarised and look very scary. PC has only 2 GB of RAM. The college canteen is also worse, with high-cost food, and the quality is poor.
Faculty: Teachers provide important questions, and a lit bit of classes are going as seminars. Some teachers are not teaching a particular topic because they tell students to self-study the topic. Semester exams are very difficult because they do not cover the important questions. The pass percentage is 45%.

Best Chettinad- a wisdom for holistic learning.
Placements: About 90% of the students are placed in various companies. The highest package is around 7.5 LPA and the lowest is about 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies include TCS, Zoho, Terv, and others. Approximately 99% of the students secure internships through our course at various companies across Tamil Nadu. Our students are placed in marketing, administration, software development, and testing, and they are working successfully in all these areas.
Infrastructure: Our college provides full facilities for us to work on projects, with very good infrastructure in the labs and throughout the campus. The college design is beautiful, and the library is unique compared to other colleges. The hostel facilities are of good quality, and the food in the mess and canteen is also good. Medical facilities include first aid, and there is a doctor available outside the college who can assist if needed.
Faculty: All the teachers are experts in their domains and have great knowledge. The course curriculum is mostly relevant to our technical skills. This curriculum helps us learn industrial work and serves as a bridge between college and the workforce. The semester exams are quite difficult, they include analytical questions where we can give our answers.
Other: My course is very emerging and has a lot of opportunities in the market.

Chettinad College of Engineering and Technology is absolutely a good college.
Placements: Chettinad College of Engineering and Technology has good placements every year. This college brought more than 20 companies for placement interviews. TCS, Tata Motors, Tech Mahindra, IBM, Zoho, Accenture, Wipro are the top companies visiting the college. 90-95% of the students get placed in good companies. The salary packages offered range between INR 1.8-7 LPA.
Infrastructure: Chettinad College of Engineering and Technology has good classroom facilities. The college has more computer laboratories with internet connection and a well equipped library. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostel mess’ food tastes good, although they need to make some variety of food options available. There is a sports ground facility available in the college as well.
Faculty: Chettinad College of Engineering and Technology offers more than 15 courses by designated staff working in the college. They are experienced persons. They conduct workshop events and practical classes. 95 percent of the students passed in all the exams. Our department’s staff is very friendly and helpful.
Other: Chettinad College of Engineering and Technology offers excellent facilities. The course curriculum is updated. The management conducts sports events every month. The placement records are also good. The college conducts more cultural events.

The engineering college with low feels useful for financial weaker families .
Placements: 40 to 50% of students are placed this year. The highest salary package is 9 to 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Zoho, Infosys, and Wipro, but only 5 to 6 students are getting placed in these top companies. Other students have found placements in small developing companies with the lowest salary range from 90K to 1 LPA. With the help of the college, only one or two students are getting internships, and others need to find them on their own. No specific role has been assigned yet for my course in my college. There are some common roles like Software Developer, Software Tester, etc. These are examples of roles students are getting placed in.
Infrastructure: The latest model computers and equipment are used in the college labs, and the internet is accessible throughout the college, though not all the time during lab hours and the time allotted for students to access the facilities. Fully air-conditioned labs and classrooms (only for MBA) are provided in the college. Apart from this, the infrastructure of the college is good enough, but they still need to develop some old buildings in the college. The hostel is neat, and the average maintenance of the hostel rooms is good. The quality of the food provided in the mess is average, and sometimes it is good. The canteen serves fast food and meals from 12 PM to 2 PM, with morning and evening snacks available at normal retail prices. The canteen infrastructure is good enough and tidy. The college management gives only 10% importance to sports. Games available include football, track, volleyball, basketball, cricket, snooker, table tennis, gym, badminton, and kabaddi. However, the equipment, balls, and grounds for these games are in poor condition. This college is not suitable for sports students because they give importance to sports only on Sports Day.
Faculty: There are many good teachers who have completed PhDs and are available. They help us improve our academic performance as well as our extracurricular activities, both technical and non-technical. However, there are some demotivating, non-working staff in higher positions, which makes it hard for students to face them. These staff members never do their work and also do not allow students to excel in anything.
Not only this course, but all engineering courses provided in this college are aimed only at obtaining a degree with a good CGPA, not for being industry-ready. The difficulty of semester exams varies by course and year. For example, in all departments, the 1st and 2nd semesters are similar and easy to clear, but the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th semesters for Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Computer Science Engineering are not tough to clear and are easy to study. In contrast, for the Electronics and Electrical Engineering, and Electrical Communication Engineering departments, it is slightly harder to study and clear the exams compared to other departments. The pass percentage is 50% for both practical and theory papers. Practicals are easy for all departments, and facilities in the labs are good.
Other: I chose this course randomly because I had no idea what to choose. The best things about this course are that programming is emphasized, and this department is expected to be in higher demand in the coming days due to innovations and developments in automation technology. Another positive aspect is that Artificial Intelligence and Data Science are easy to study but hard to implement in daily life.
Things that need improvement in this college include canceling the evening coaching classes because they demotivate students. Many attend these classes reluctantly, and they have no real value. If a student wants to pass, they should study on their own. Pushing individuals to study is counterproductive and lacks effectiveness. Instead of evening coaching, the college could allow students to use the labs for their projects and engage in extracurricular activities like sports or other productive pursuits. Students should have the freedom to choose how they use their time rather than following a rigid college schedule.
The college needs to improve facilities for sports and give importance to athletes by allowing them to participate in matches outside the college. The college grounds need to be cleaned and maintained in good condition, and necessary equipment should be sponsored by the college. This would encourage students to excel and perform their best. Events, fests, campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, scholarships, and extracurricular activities all need improvement, as they are currently below average. Additionally, the college should seek feedback from students and address their queries.
