TANCET participating colleges define the TANCET cutoff scores or the last ranks for admission. However, participating institutes do not release a cutoff list for candidates to check during the admission process. In fact the cutoff scores are not released by any authority during the admission session. The TNEA 2026 dates will be announced in May 2026. Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu will release the application process for TNEA 2026.

TANCET scores are valid for a period of one year. Candidates aspiring for admission in 2023-24 exam session can only use the TANCET 2023 scores for admission. Candidates who wish for an MBA Admission in any of the TANCET participating colleges in 2024-25 batch must appear for TANCET 2024.

Irrespective of the 2023 score, DTE Tamil Nadu will not consider the TANCET 2023 scores for 2024 admission. Similarly, candidates planning to apply for MBA Admission in 2025-26 batch, must apply for the TANCET 2025 exam.

Anna University releases the TANCET application form in an online mode. Candidates who wish to apply for the TANCET exam need to apply for the exam online. No other mode is available for the TANCET registration. Anna University will not entertain any requests for offline submission of the application form. After submitting the online application form, candidates must take a print out of the TANCET filled in form to retain the same for future references. However, this print-out must not be sent to the official authority via fax or post. TANCET form print out is for retainment by the applicant.

TANCET registration 2026 is scheduled to start from March 16. Candidates aspiring for MBA or MCA admission in 200+ colleges of Tamil Nadu will have to apply for the TANCET exam. As per the typical schedule, TANCET registration is available for a period nearing to one month.

TNEA stands for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions. The Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu conducts TNEA every year. It is an online counselling window. All Indian National candidates who wish to take admission to Government and Government Aided Engineering Colleges, University Departments and Constituent Colleges of Anna University, Annamalai University and for the seats surrendered by Self-Financing Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu have to apply for TNEA counselling.

TNEA counselling is a Unified Single Window Admission System for Indian Nationals only. The courses offered via this online counselling are BE/BTech and BE (sandwich) courses. TNEA counselling is conducted online in 4 rounds as per the schedule. Candidates need to participate in corresponding rounds based on their rank.

Candidates can choose up to one exam city preference while filling the application form. Anna University allots the exam centre within the preferred exam city or at a the nearest location to the city. However, choosing the exam city preference while filling the form will not guarantee allotment of the exam centre in that particular city. Anna University allocates the test centre considering the best possible comfort of the test takers. Anna University does not entertain any requests for change in the exam centre of exam city.
