B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2026
2.2
It is not up to the mark for students' ideology.
Placements: The college does not even provide opportunities to students. It is not good for academics or overall development.
Infrastructure: Coming to facilities, they are not even 50% satisfactory for students. Labs are not good.
Faculty: The exams are very strict and are not helpful for students' future. Students and faculty do not have a good bond, which affects opportunities and learning. There is very little focus on helping students learn new things for future growth.
Other: I advise students not to join this college. It is not the right place for students who want to excel in any field. I do not recommend taking admission. Even based on EAMCET rank considerations, I suggest staying away from this college. Please avoid this college.

Bad infrastructure, good opportunities for extracurricular activities.
Placements: Honestly, this year's placements are very low. Only students with extremely good coding skills have got a few jobs. Offer letters have been provided, but joining letters have not yet been issued. Most of the jobs are customer service roles. If you are really good at technical skills, then this college can help you.
Infrastructure: Labs and infrastructure are not that great, but if you genuinely want to learn and improve, you can do so in any college, not only here. The hostel food is very average and sometimes very bad. The girls' hostel has become unsafe due to an issue that happened in 2025.
Faculty: Faculty members are quite knowledgeable, but if you are targeted, no one can rescue you from getting low marks or being targeted in labs for unnecessary reasons. For many faculty members, if you stand up for yourself, they get offended and target you. However, some faculty members are good and have a strong grip on their subjects.

Not very satisfied with the experience because infrastructure, hostel, and classrooms are okay.
Placements: CMR is known for placements, but as the years go by, the number of students getting placed is decreasing. However, I cannot blame the college for this because the situation is similar at almost every college. If you have good coding skills, you can get placed from any college, and the same applies to CMRIT.
Infrastructure: The hostel food is average. The infrastructure is genuinely basic and not something very fascinating to talk about. Labs are decently equipped, and the library is good. The number of books is decent. But the only drawback is that the library cannot be used whenever students want. It can only be used during leisure periods and library periods. These are available only in the first year.
Faculty: There are faculty members with good knowledge, but you have to be lucky enough to have them assigned to your section. The majority of them lack knowledge, but a few faculty members are great at teaching. The exams are not too difficult if you study.

A fabulous and remarkable B.Tech life in CMRIT, but with low expectations for placements.
Placements: Out of 1,088 students, only around 150 get placed in IT companies, while another 100–120 students get jobs in call centers and other non-IT roles. The placement scenario is very bad this time. There are hardly any service-based companies visiting the college. Only L&T and Capgemini visit the campus and together hire around 120 students. Apart from them, a few startups come for recruitment, but they hire very few students. For example, out of nearly 4,000 students, some startups select only 2 students. This is how the placement scenario is at CMRIT this year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good except for the air conditioning in the classrooms. Everything else is good, but the total campus area is only 10 acres, which feels small and is not completely sufficient for around 4,000 students across all four years. The washrooms are good, and whenever we submit complaints, the management takes action and improves the facilities.
Faculty: The examination and evaluation process is good. We write exams on answer sheets that have a barcode on each page. The entire correction process is conducted online after scanning. If there are any mistakes or issues in the evaluation, students can approach the exam branch. They will handle everything properly. The staff in the exam branch office are helpful and assist whenever you have any doubts.
Other: As in 2022, there was a boom in CSE. I chose CSE, but there are no placements in 2026, so I am disappointed with it.

I am not part of this college anymore.
Placements: At CMR CET Campus, most students got placed. Companies selected students who had a 7.5 CGPA. The highest package was 6.5 LPA, and the lowest package was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Accenture, L&T, Capgemini, and Cognizant. Students who participated in science projects and hackathons got internships in the 3rd and final years. Around 5% of students got internships. Top roles offered were Software Developer, Network Engineer, and Management Trainee.
Infrastructure: The college atmosphere was very good. The campus was very large to explore. During events, the college looked very beautiful. Labs and college infrastructure were very good. Classrooms were neat, and the library was also good. The food in the canteen was good, but the prices were high. The canteen was far from the classrooms. Sports and games facilities were average, and only a few students enjoyed them. Medical facilities were good, and the ambulance arrived quickly to treat students.
Faculty: During my four years in college, I understood the difficulty level of the B.Tech course. Teachers were skillful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was good. Most students chose IT jobs, so core-related opportunities did not fully make students industry-ready. The semester exams were quite difficult, especially from the 3rd to the 6th semester. The pass percentage was around 60%.
Other: I chose this course to explore opportunities in the core industry rather than the software field. I felt placements should have given everyone a chance. The canteen, stationery store, and sports facilities could have been improved. The college events were very enjoyable. Celebrities were invited most of the time, so I enjoyed them a lot.

    Dissatisfied with faculty.
Placements: Placement offers are well. If a student learns quickly while handling other things like curriculum, records, labs, etc. They have given 3 to 4 LPA. 80 percent of students passed out in the 2023 batch, and very few packages were offered to students. They paid nearly 8 lakhs as the total fee for the B.Tech course.
Infrastructure: Food is satisfactory here. Rooms are not well ventilated. Beds are good, and bathrooms are well-maintained. So students can manage accordingly. The fee is very high as a new hostel is accomplished on campus in 2025, so the fee is high. There is a canteen for hunger.
Faculty: They don't teach in a friendly manner. They have very rude behaviour and don't explain well. They should be friendly with students and teach them well about doubts, maintain the important questions, and explain them every week as a revision. I request to take this seriously.
Other: I am from ECE batch 2023. The best things were events, live concerts, good nature, and a peaceful environment.

Coaching is best, provided by standardized faculty members.
Placements: Apple and Amazon were the top recruiters. They were offering the best packages to students of CMR exclusively in the IT sector. Some other companies like Space, TransUnion, and Cisco also provided attractive salary offers, particularly for the ECE stream.
Infrastructure: CMR College of Engineering and Technology was a mid-tier private institution in Hyderabad. It had a good presence within the city. However, they charged higher fees for facilities provided. The food quality and taste were not consistently good, as it kept changing regularly, mostly remaining below acceptable quality.
Faculty: Professors were well-qualified. They had strong academic backgrounds. At least one faculty member received a faculty award each year. There was nothing to worry about coaching, but students were sometimes concerned about random comments or judgments made by professors.

Some faculty are knowledgeable, infrastructure is average, and placements are good if you work hard.
Placements: CMR is known for good campus placements, but as years are passing, AI is taking over many human jobs. So considering that, placements have fallen a little. However, many students are still placed with high LPA packages like 40 LPA, 23 LPA, and 20 LPA. Overall, the experience and personal growth are high.
Infrastructure: Classrooms have been updated to smart classrooms with smart boards, enhancing and applying technology in classrooms. It makes learning less complex. Coming to hostels, I am a day scholar, but I have heard that the hostel is decent with good rooms and food.
Faculty: As an electronics student, the depth and knowledge gained from core subjects are tremendous. There are a few faculty members who are highly knowledgeable. They have great teaching skills. I agree that most lectures are boring, but we can be lucky if we get faculty who can make classes fun and interesting.
