College of Agriculture Vijayapura is the best college and it has value for money.
Placements: There are no placement opportunities in our college. For internship opportunities, rural agriculture work experience and agriculture experiential learning programs are held through which we can get the best possible experience in agriculture.
Infrastructure: When it comes to the infrastructure, it is not up to the mark. Roads and hostel rooms are not proper to use. The gym facilities are not there. Sports facilities are good. There is a sports teacher. The overall infrastructure and facilities of the colleges are not up to mark.
Faculty: We have the best faculty members in the industry in the college because many faculty members have almost 30 years of experience. There are new minds also who recently graduated and did their Ph.D. They are available for students. The faculty and exams are good.
Other: Campus life is good as it is all over India recognition. Students are from different parts of the states and countries. The college has different students. It gives importance to all the festivals, so college life is good.

College of Agriculture, Vijayapura.
Placements: The college didn't offer any placements. Students won't offered any placement opportunities from the college. Only Karnataka Bank offered placements at the university, where they conducted GD and PI for students. Not many students from this college went there and took part.
Infrastructure: Facilities at the hostel were good. There were 2 girls hostels and 3 boys hostels. Rooms were well-equipped with beds, cupboards, windows, and attached washrooms. Mess food was good but not great. There was no canteen in the college, but there was an emergency hospital available. Sports facilities were also available.
Faculty: Faculty was great and very well-experienced. They were highly qualified with Ph.D. degrees, and the teaching was great. The courses included both theory and practical field classes. Practical classes help students understand subjects in a better way and make them industry-ready. The difficulty level of the exams I would rate 7/10.

An average college with less exposure.
Placements: There is no direct placement from the college. But after the course, there are many opportunities for the students, and if they are willing to do PG, they can split into many courses. The job opportunities are more. There are many government jobs also offered after the course by the Central and State government exams. You can go for AFO, bank jobs, government jobs, MBA, etc. The package will start from a minimum of 30,000. Fertilizer, pesticide companies, and ABM companies are recruiting.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are very bad, and there is no Wi-Fi available in the hostel and college for students. The washrooms are common washrooms, and the food quality is also very bad. They are not providing any good food, including non-vegetarian food. There is no canteen in this college, and the sports facilities are okay—not that much good, but it’s better compared to others. The gym in the college doesn’t have any good facilities.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good, and the teaching staff are well-educated professors, but they don’t have any exposure to the outer world. The course will provide us good practical and theoretical experience. One of the good things about the college is that the faculty cares about students' health very much. There are 8 semesters, and exams and results will come on time. Practical and mid-semester exams are also there, and you require 80% attendance to write exams.
Other: I chose the course because I like the agricultural field, and there are many job opportunities and good career prospects. The best thing about the course is you can split into many courses and fields after UG. There are no good fests, activities, or programs in the college. You will not get a good campus life. The surroundings are good and have good air quality. The scholarship is provided by ICAR and the Karnataka state government.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture is the best course, but it needs to be updated.
Placements: About 70% of the students get placed in the private and public sectors. Agriculture degree has more vacancies in the government sector, so very few companies recruit students through campus. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA as per seniors and recruiting cell. Eximenia Organic Valley company is found to be consistent in recruiting students from our college. Majorly companies like heavy implements, fertilizers, sugar and food manufacturing companies recruit students from our college. Top roles offered to students vary, which includes research scientists at institutions like ICAR, IARI and officials at FCI and NSC like premier institutions.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped and well-updated as per modern requirements. Enough space and batches are divided, which are student-friendly. Compared to other government hostels, it has average facilities. The food served is good. The problem is with a hostel as there is often a scarcity of water.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are enthusiastic about teaching us. The course curriculum includes regular field visits, and in the final year, we have a RAWE camp where a batch of students are asked to take rural experience by learning and sharing knowledge. It provides all India study tours. In the semester system, we have total 3 exams of each course, which are practical, mid-term and external exams. Attendance is very strictly followed, and we must maintain it above 85%. Exams are not difficult if we consistently get ourselves updated. In the last minute preparation or last night preparation, we will not fetch good marks in our degree.
Other: I have chosen this course because I would engage more time in nature rather than four walls. It is the best course if we have the best course teacher. We often have field visits which are the most interesting and learning ones. Every year our college conducts an inter-college level youth fest, and winners are further sent to zonal and national levels. Sports are conducted frequently, but Youth fest is like a university festival for us. We have a study batch where interested students gather and improve skills required for competitive exams. It takes place once weekly.

One of the few well established campuses which was truly dedicated on teaching.
Placements: Only marketing companies recruit students like a maximum of 2 per year. The only company we have seen was Bangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers. The company was always very happy to take students from this college since the previous students have kept the faith and painted will in the company's annual sales. This is the only company that was more than happy to come back every year.
Infrastructure: In our college, the hostels were something like you need time to acclamatise. Don't expect any Wi-Fi on campus. The classrooms and laboratories were great in terms of Indian standards. There was a 24*7 library with good support.
Faculty: The quality of education was quite good with experienced faculty members. They were ever ready and there were no issues regarding education. Nevertheless, the quality of education was always better than on the main campus. This applies to all the sub-campuses of all the 4 farm universities of Karnataka. The best part is there will be a free all-India tour for 3 weeks in the 7th or 8th semester.

    Students also asked

Q:   Can I become an Agricultural Entrepreneur after B.Sc Agriculture?
    A:

Of course, Agriculture and allied sector not only remained insulated from economic slowdown or pandemic but has registered better growth than other sectors. Other industries have faced the problem of downsizing during a pandemic but the agriculture sector remained aloof from lay-offs, pay cuts and forced resignations. There will never be a downturn or slow down when it comes to feeding the world population.
