College is living up to its reputation with great faculty and an amazing student crowd.
Placements: Around 85% students got placed in my batch, and the highest package was about 45 LPA. Most recruiters were from Nvidia, Nutanix, DE Shaw, etc. The lowest package was about 4-5 LPA. Internships were available in the 3rd year and included companies such as BY Menon, Microsoft, and Accenture. Top roles were SDE or analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is based on the old architecture of the college, but the labs and classrooms are newly developed and are well-equipped. Wi-Fi speed fluctuates, but is decent. The library may seem a bit old. The mess is average, and sometimes, on special occasions, a different menu is opted for. Overall, extracurricular activities are taken care of.
Faculty: Teachers are highly compatible and are Ph.D. holders with great knowledge. They are very helpful, and the quality of teaching is good. Curriculum is unique due to the autonomous nature of the college, and its syllabus produces industry-ready individuals. Semester exams are not difficult, but need revision and practice at least 3 weeks before the exam. Pass percentage is 90%.
Other: I chose this college due to its mindblowing fests and amazing peer crowd. All of them are immensely talented and supportive. Being in the heart of Pune, the college is also well connected with other happening activities in the city.

COEP: The dream college of every student.
Placements: Placements in the College of Engineering, Pune are very good as compared to the other colleges. Many top companies visit the college campus for recruitment every year. All top companies visit here for placements. Internships are very good in college. Nearly everyone gets internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is a bit of an issue here. Often, there are connectivity problems. The infrastructure is good in the college. There are well-equipped libraries in the college with thousands of quality, useful books, which is good. Mess food is also okay, but in comparison with other colleges, it is very good. Sports facilities are also very good as the college is represented in every sports competition.
Faculty: Good faculty members are in the college. The teachers here are very knowledgeable and are always ready to help if approached. Teachers are helpful. The course pattern is mostly industry-oriented. The exams are tough and sometimes even difficult, but with regular studies, you can crack exams.
Other: The college has its own reputation. The college is very good in all aspects. Events and fests are very good. There are frequently organized events which are very good for the college.

Not satisfied with the way placements are hyped by other people, as we know the reality.
Placements: In the year 2024-25, the average package offered is 6 LPA, which is pretty low for any student getting placed. 61% of students got placed this year. The highest package offered is 18 LPA by Oracle. Top recruiting companies are Tata Steel and Bosch. 70% of students get internships in companies like JSW, and many get research internships at IITs. Roles like quality assurance engineers, etc., are offered here.
Infrastructure: Our college provides plenty of facilities. As we all know, in government colleges, most of the time, Wi-Fi is low. We can get most of the books from the library, but the seating space might be limited. It has a canteen and mess facilities, which are good and cost-friendly. It also has medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Just the teaching quality is quite good. We are getting relevant courses, but less company interaction leads to poor quality of engineering. End-semester exams are pretty difficult, and 70-80% of students pass exams.
Other: Plenty of events are organised. It also conducts crazy extracurricular activities.

Satisfied overall because of good college infrastructure, placements, understanding seniors, etc.
Placements: Almost 77% of students in metallurgy branch got placed last year. The highest package is around 25 LPA and the average salary is 8 LPA. Core industries like steel companies, mining, etc., are strongly approaching metallurgy students. Some students have chosen non-core roles too and some went for higher studies.
Infrastructure: Recently new meta building is built. So its more spacious now. Library, classrooms, and labs are of course on top notch. The labs and lab assistant teachers are also good. Real issue is with Wi-Fi. In most of campus area, there are a lot of network as well as Wi-Fi issues. About hostel, its not less than home. Mess food is a little messed up. But its better than other colleges' mess. There are two canteens in the college. The meta canteen is good. But both canteens are a bit suffocating.
Faculty: Teachers are good. But the distribution of teachers is not good. In my case mechanical branch got most perfect teachers compared to us for the same subject. And for us we have teachers who don't teach that well and also who don't give proper marks in exams too. So, it badly affects our overall CGPA. Exams a good and strict too. About curriculum, we have a lot of clubs around 50, and gathering, impression, mindspark, etc. Some clubs are really good for career growth like robotics, aerospace, etc.
Other: There are a lot of scholarships you'll get in college. Most people don't even need to spend a penny in their pockets for fees.

Helpful faculty, updated syllabus, and easy-to-clear exams make COEP a great engineering college.
Placements: About 80% to 85% of placements are there in my college. The highest package is reached at 55 LPA, the lowest is 4.5 LPA, and the average is about 8 LPA to 9 LPA and the average for CSE branch is about 15 LPA to 16 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Bajaj, Deshaw, TCS, Tata Motors, Bharat Electronics, etc. There are around 270 companies that visited the college this year. Internship percentage is about 90%.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi network is good on the hostel campus but poor in college campus, especially in labs. There is no Wi-Fi and also no network. Food quality is very good in mess and the canteen of the hostel is poor. Sports facilities are very good. Big ground is there for COEP. Students and doctors are available in hostel. Gym facilities are also for both boys and girls.
Faculty: Semester exams are average and not too much difficult but faculty members for the CSE department are not experienced in other departments they are good. Course is irrelevant practical knowledge is not given here and theory is not properly taught. Semester exams are moderately difficult, but with regular study, students can do well. The pass percentage is usually high around 85%.
Other: There are 25 plus clubs in college and 5 fests are other which are very big, clubs like debate youth parliament, civil services, tech clubs, cultural club, drama club, NSS, and many more are there. Scholarship provided from alumni, Sakal Foundation, Cybage Khoosboo, Catalyst, etc.

College is really good. No worries about passing the exams.
Placements: I am M.A. first year student at the college. I am pursuing B.Tech in Metallurgy. As our seniors tell us, our college has nearly 100% placements.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available 24X7. Labs are fully equipped. Classrooms and library are excellent. Cafeterias and canteens are there on both college and hostel campus. Many fests are organized throughout the year. Students here are very exceptional. If you end up here, you will make a really good friend circle.
Faculty: There are two exams per semester and two semesters per year. You need to score a total of at least 30 marks in each subject to get passed. Out of 30, 20 are in teachers' hands (internal). You need to score 10-15 total in both mid-semester and end-semester accumulated. Teachers are very brilliant and experienced, and they always try new ways of teaching. Internal marks are 20. You just need to score total of 10-15 marks in mid-semester and end-semester.
