COEP is the regional underdog.
Placements: Offers are comparable to the top 10 NITs in CSE. The average package was 17 LPA, median was 15 LPA for 2025. This year, De Shaw hired someone at 60 LPA CTC. Other branches also have decent placement, but due to doubling the intake, the placement might be affected later. Some companies that visit are De Shaw, Nutanix, Texas Instruments, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, but the number of students in the location is really low. Mess food is okay. The gym is crowded. Ground is good. Wi-Fi is provided in the entire campus, but sometimes it doesn't work. Located in the city center, so many fun activities around. The overall infrastructure is decent.
Faculty: Being autonomous, they have enacted a choice-based credit system from academic year 25-26 onwards, where students choose the subjects that they like from the given set. This really helps to avoid nightmares like engineering graphics and choose an easy but necessary subject like Python or C.
Other: We have about 6 festivals, Mindspark, Impression, Gathering, Pune Startup Fest, Zest, and Regetta. This year also hosted Roscon 25.

I love the college and its life here.
Placements: 85% of students are placed in our course. The highest package is 52 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average package is 17.2 LPA. Top recruiting companies in our course are Nutanics, 52.57 Lacs per annum, and DE Shaw, 52 LPA. 92% of students got internships in companies like DE Shaw, Hilti, UBS, Texas Instruments, Mastercard, Nvidia, TCS, Deutsche, Goldman Sachs, and Algoquant. Top roles offered are SDE roles, SWE roles, Data Analyst roles, DevOps Manager.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is a bit weak. Classrooms are clean, and the library is well-equipped. The hostel infrastructure really needs to be improved, and the mess food is fine. The sports facilities are good, and our college has its own teams that frequently participate in tournaments. College Sport events also take place.
Faculty: All of the students are qualified. Most of the teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. Some of the teachers really love their subjects and explain them very beautifully. Computer Engineering is a very relevant curriculum, and it makes students industry-ready. Almost 90% pass the semester exams, and the exams are moderately difficult.
Other: Ever since I was a kid, I have loved computers, so I chose Computer Engineering. Something could be improved, the hostel infrastructure and Wi-Fi availability across the campuses. Fests and events here are the highlights of college life. Some of the best tech events take place here. Cultural and gathering events also take place here.

It is a great college for opportunities with a good crowd.
Placements: More than 80 percent of students have been placed consistently in recent years. In the previous year, the highest package was 52 LPA, and the average package for the CSE branch is around 17.2 LPA. There is no clear data available on the lowest package. Mastercard, Nutanix, and Oracle are among the top recruiting companies, along with several startups. Around 60–70 percent of students get internships, while the rest are directly hired during the placement season.
Infrastructure: Labs are not fully up to date, but classrooms are good. For the CSE course, a new building is constructed and is still under development. But it is well-designed and maintained. Sports facilities are good. The college grounds are located just outside the hostel, so students do not face any difficulty. There are also indoor sports facilities, like a badminton court, within the college campus.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but some explanations can be confusing, and understanding depends on individual effort. The curriculum is relevant from the second year onwards. While the first year does not have much relevance to the specific stream. Semester exams are not very difficult to pass. The passing marks range from a minimum of 30 to a maximum of 40 out of 100.

Good learning environment with friendly campus vibe .
Placements: Placements are decent in our course. around 70% of students get placements. The highest is about 10 to 12 LPA, the lowest is 3-4 LPA, and the average is around 5 to 6 LPA. Companies like TCS and Infosys visit for internships. They also come for roles like design intern. Around 50 to 60% of students also get internships, mostly in companies like TCS, KPIT, or some local industries. The main roles offered are trainee engineer or basic technical support roles, depending on skills.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for our course is quite good. Classrooms are clean, labs have the basic equipment we need, and the Wi-Fi works fine most of the time. The department has a decent library space, and faculty are supportive and knowledgeable. Hostel facilities are okay. Rooms are simple but livable. The average quality is fine, but it changes daily. Canteen food is better, and we also have basic medical help available on campus.
Faculty: The faculty are helpful and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is good. The curriculum is relevant and helps in building industry-ready skills. Semester exams are moderate, not too hard. If you study regularly, the pass percentage is usually good. Semester exams are manageable if you attend lectures and are on time. The pass percentage is good because the teachers guide you well.
Other: I chose this course because I was genuinely interested in this field. The best part is the practical exposure and supportive environment. I just wish industry connections and labs could improve more. The campus crowd is friendly, events are active, and the morale is good.

My experience in college.
Placements: It is a 4 year course and has excellent faculty and placement companies. It is the top college in Pune average package of 10LPA for mechanical engineering. It is highly recommended that in order to get a good job it has various courses available.
Infrastructure: It has good facilities it has some decent food quality issues but the rest is all good. The locality of the hostel is in a good area of the city with great infrastructure. I am a local so I do not know much about this but all I have heard is good.
Faculty: The new CBCS system has made it really easy for the student to choose subjects according to their will. Now students from any branch can select their desired course apart from the compulsory subjects. The exam environment is also very well distributed and cool.

College is living up to its reputation with great faculty and an amazing student crowd.
Placements: Around 85% students got placed in my batch, and the highest package was about 45 LPA. Most recruiters were from Nvidia, Nutanix, DE Shaw, etc. The lowest package was about 4-5 LPA. Internships were available in the 3rd year and included companies such as BY Menon, Microsoft, and Accenture. Top roles were SDE or analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is based on the old architecture of the college, but the labs and classrooms are newly developed and are well-equipped. Wi-Fi speed fluctuates, but is decent. The library may seem a bit old. The mess is average, and sometimes, on special occasions, a different menu is opted for. Overall, extracurricular activities are taken care of.
Faculty: Teachers are highly compatible and are Ph.D. holders with great knowledge. They are very helpful, and the quality of teaching is good. Curriculum is unique due to the autonomous nature of the college, and its syllabus produces industry-ready individuals. Semester exams are not difficult, but need revision and practice at least 3 weeks before the exam. Pass percentage is 90%.
Other: I chose this college due to its mindblowing fests and amazing peer crowd. All of them are immensely talented and supportive. Being in the heart of Pune, the college is also well connected with other happening activities in the city.
