Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) is another way which can get you admitted in College of Engineering, Pune. Branch can be a matter of concern if you did not score well. And, if you have good marks you can choose your branch according to you rather they will allot you the same.

Hello Prashant,
College of Engineering Pune is considered as the premier institute for engineering in Maharashtra. As a result of this, those who appear for MH-CET invariably gave this college as the first choice. Hence the cutoff here is pretty high. It is tough to put a figure of cut off but perhaps score of 130 can be considered safe for getting admission in this college. But I would advise you to aim for 90 percentile in MH-CET to be sure of getting admission in this college.
Best wishes to you.

Hello Shruti,
I am afraid, COEP does not have this facility. But you indeed can seek lateral admission in COEP by following procedure laid down by DTE, Maharashtra on their website.
Best wishes.

Could you please be more specific if there is any particular university that you prefer admission in, so that I can guide you better?

For NRI the admission procedure is purely based on your 12th standard marks. They only take the percentage of physics, chemistry and maths. Then a list of students is prepared whoever has applied in the order of their percentage. If your merit number is in the beginning then you will mostly get the branch of your choice (1st option in your preference list). Even if your name is not in the 1st round, you do have a chance in round 2 because some students change their mind. Round 2 takes place at the spot and its the final round. There are 3 seats reserved for Gulf and 9 for NRI for all branches except mechanical which is 6-Gulf, and 12-NRI.
Good luck!
