College of Technology and Engineering.
Placements: This college does not have a good placement record in recent years. Students who want good placement go for off-campus placements. Barely any company comes to this college to hire interns. Most students do not depend on placements. They either go for M.Tech or prepare for government jobs.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and library have decent infrastructure. There are a few labs which I have discovered have equipment that is not working, like the Fluid Mechanics lab, the Strength of Materials lab, and the Heat Transfer lab. The girls' hostel has a pathetic scenario. Washrooms are dirty and unhygienic. Several times the hostel mess food is unhygienic. Girls have faced power cut issues many times and they run out of water during a power cut.
Faculty: There are many good teachers. I find that a few teachers teach in a way that is difficult to understand. I feel like they are in a hurry to complete the syllabus instead of teaching. Semester exams are moderate to difficult. I do not find this course curriculum extremely relevant. I do not think it makes students very much industry-ready.
Other: No fests or events have been held in recent years. Events and fests should be held by the college.

Honest review of CTAE Udaipur.
Placements: Placement in Agriculture Engineering is 100% before Corona. After it, placement is around 90–95 percent. In other streams, Electrical Engineering has the best placement. In 2025, in the ECE department, 21 students got placed. CSE has a decent placement, while Mechanical Engineering has the worst placement.
Infrastructure: The first year has a common building where all students study together. The first-year block has a round-shaped, nice building. On the ground floor, there are four classrooms. On the first floor, there is a Chemistry lab and a Physics lab. In the hostel, An Khoshala Hostel is for first-year students. The hostel is as old as the college. Rooms are of decent size for living for one year. You may face problems with timing as it is from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wi-Fi is available but not working. Food is average, and Sunday lunch has a special diet, while Sunday dinner is off (dal–chawal).
Faculty: The teachers in the college are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. They teach very well and with discipline. You can understand in the classroom well, but you have to prepare for exams yourself. It is not difficult to pass. The passing percentage is 40 in some subjects and 28 in one or two.
Other: The college is value for money in Agriculture Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mining Engineering. In ECE, placements are increasing. Civil has good placement. Others have less but decent placement.

The college is okay, and the placement opportunities are also okay.
Placements: Students with a minimum of 60% scores have been placed. The packages start from 4 LPA to a maximum of 15 LPA. Many agricultural companies offer placements.
Infrastructure: There are four departments within Agricultural Engineering, such as Soil and Water Engineering, Farm Machinery and Power Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, and Processing and Food Engineering. Wi-Fi facility is available inside the hostel, and filtered water is also available. Each year has a different hostel. The canteen and mess food are good, and medical facilities are available.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is good. There are two semesters every year. The combined total of both semesters should be 8 CGPA.
Other: I chose this college to pursue Agricultural Engineering.

I was dissatisfied because of faculty but good placements in branches like CS, IT, EE, and ME.
Placements: About 2% of students got placed in our agriculture batch of 2017-2021. The salary offered was between Rs.17500 - Rs.12000 per month which was given by TEFE, a tractor company. Only one company came for placement. The internship was given to 30% of students by Mahindra and Mahindra and to 100% of students by Escort. Northern region farm machinery training and testing center offered to 50% of students.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi was available in the hostel only for hostlers. For first-year, 10 GB, and for others, it was unlimited. In the library, it was free for all. The food quality was good in the hostel mess. There was a good scope of sports. We had a high-tech indoor ground. We played ricket, football, hockey, wrestling, badminton, table tennis, basketball, and volleyball.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were helpful but most of the posts were vacant. About 60 to 80% of posts of professors were vacant. The course was relevant and it made us ready for industrial wore. We had a lot of experience with industries through our internships. 95% passing percentage.
Other: I was very interested in agriculture industry. There is a very high scope for entrepreneurship in the agriculture industry. I want one thing which is the number of teachers for students must be increased.

In CTAE, good placements every year and good facilities are provided to students.
Placements: The percentage of students who got placements is about 70-80%. The highest salary package offered is around 9 LPA which is secured by one or two students only. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA and the minimum salary package offered is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies in agriculture are Mahindra and Mahindra, Tafe John Deere, Jain irrigation, and HDFC Bank.
Infrastructure: Good facilities are provided to students in our college. Infrastructure is also good. In the hostel, Wi-Fi facilities are available. In a single room, you will get a chair, table, almirah, bed, and an environment to study. Food quality is not good and never it can be improved. The canteen is accessible.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful at a certain level in our college. They have completed Ph.D. in their own subjects. They have more than enough knowledge in referring to subjects. The curriculum of the subjects makes students ready for the industry but the agriculture branch is not for industrial purposes. It generally gets a government job.
Other: I chose the agriculture branch because all over Rajasthan, only this college has an agriculture engineering branch. The best thing is it has a good opportunity in the government sector in an easy way so I chose it.
