Overall decent college for students who comes from neighbouring states. Faculty members are great.
Placements: They don't have a good placement record. I have heard that there was a student who got placed at 23 LPA, but from off campus. I have been in this college for a year, but I haven't heard that any companies have come for placement. Most of the students seek both placements and internships off-campus.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of this college is decent. It has three buildings: old, new and the second new building. New and second new buildings are good, but the building is not up to the mark. There are a couple of floors in the library. It's good, but the Wi-Fi of the whole college doesn't work. There are no hostel facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members are great. Teachers are very helpful. Overall, all the facilities are very good compared to most colleges. Although the placements are not that good, if you are pursuing this course, then you will definitely get a decent job. The semester exams are not that difficult. I have personally scored 8.5 SCGP.
Other: I have chosen this course because I wanted to pursue an MBA in marketing. So, I thought this would be better for me.

DU college reality and my experience.
Placements: In my college the placement cell was pretty average. Big companies or MNCs do not come on board. Some small companies and startups came to hire for a range of job roles. The average package was 2 LPA-3LPA which I believe was decent for a mid-tier college.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure was on par. There was a nicely maintained lawn, playground, a library, and reading rooms. Also, the classrooms were pretty big, clean, and ventilated. I loved the overall feel of the infrastructure. Also the Wi-Fi was available in some parts of the college and not fully covered.
Faculty: The teachers of the college were very nice, well-educated, and experienced. They had a lot of real-life examples to teach a variety of topics which made the learning process fun loving, interesting, and easier. The exams at the college were quite difficult.

In short, college is good. Good environment, friends, supporting members, and faculty.
Placements: Approximately 70 students in a batch, the highest package is 6 LPA and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. Internships are not provided by the college. You have to find them yourself, and Computer Science is the highest offered course. Companies hire students based on their performance in college.
Infrastructure: Library, Wi-Fi, and classrooms are all good, but there are no hostel facilities in the college. You have to take a PG or flat near the college. Sports and games are available, including football, volleyball, cricket, etc. The canteen food is also tasty, and there is a Mother Dairy franchise in college.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and well-educated. The course curriculum is relevant, and exams are moderate, making it easy to pass; almost all students pass. Faculty are very supportive of students, with lenient checking in exams. The admin office also supports the students in the country.
Other: As I am a Science student, I chose this course, which is related to AI as well. Festivals and events are held every year in this college along with scholarships, etc.

Commonly asked questions
On Highlights
Q:   How is mess food at CVS, Delhi?
A:

The canteen food is overall good and I would say it's above average. From veg to non-veg, both types of food items are available and a well maintained canteen is present.

But I would rather recommend Chole kulche and parathe kulche from outside the college gate.

Q:   What is unique about CVS, Delhi?
2thumbs up
A:

The unique thing about CVS is its crowd that comes to the college, according to my experience the crowd is very diverse here. CVS offers a good exposure for students who are preparing to come out of their comfort zone and open up to all the opportunities that are coming their way. Students will learn to make good connections here and a bond that lasts forever.

Q:   How are placements at CVS, Delhi?
A:

Overall, the on-campus placements are good but if you are pursuing a technical course from here then it might not be good enough as the companies that come here are for vocational courses.

So, if you are from a technical background or pursuing a technical course then you need to work consistently on your skillset and grab opportunities that come your way off campus and you can also participate in Placement drive that occur in North Campus or respected DU colleges such as Deshbandhu College which organises its drive and invite students from all over DU.

Q:   What is College of Vocational Studies, University of Delhi famous for?
A:

The college is famous for its vocational and management course.

The university of delhi is a premier university of the country with a venerable legacy and international acclaim for the highest academic standards, diverse education programs, distinguished faculty, illustrious alumni, varied to co- curricular activities and modern infrastructure.

Satisfied with the great campus life.
Placements: For the batch of 2023 of BMS, around 60-70% students are placed through campus recruitment. The highest package offered is around 8 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. The average package range between 4.5 LPA and 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies included Deloitte, KPMG, EY, Genpact, Wipro, ICICI Bank, and a few growing startups. Around 70-80% secured internships in finance and marketing. The major roles included Business Analyst, Marketing Executive, HR Executive, etc.
Infrastructure: The department has basic classrooms with Wi-Fi facility and a library with academic resources, though there are no dedicated Python classes in the Computer Lab. Rooms in the old building are poorly maintained and quite dark. Rooms of SNB do not have charging points, in some rooms, they are there but do not work. The major problem is that the college does not have projectors.
Faculty: The BMS faculty is qualified, supportive, and teaches with practical examples. The curriculum is relevant and provides a basic foundation for industry readiness. Semester exams are moderately challenging, and the pass percentage is generally average.
Other: BMS offers real-life exposure and hands-on experience in management fields. Campus life is very vibrant, and the campus is surrounded by greenery.

Campus and college life are great, but not placements.
Placements: The placements are very average, just like any other DU college except for the top colleges. Of course, the top companies are WTW, Preferred Square, etc. The average placement is 6 LPA. Top roles are research associate and business analyst. A very few students get placed, nearly 25-30.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. The campus is nearly 3 acres big. We have 3 buildings, one of which is very old, and the desks are broken, but the other 2 buildings are great. They have good infrastructure. The desks are new, and they are neat and clean. The ground is big. Although this college will provide you with a good college life.
Faculty: Teachers do not care about most of the students. One must visit daily and sit in front to get noticed by the teachers. Otherwise, they’ll come, take their class, and run away. The course curriculum is good and difficult. You might get less study material for this course online.

It has good infrastructure and a society culture.
Placements: The placement cell is not much involved, but placements are decent based on what I've heard. The recruitment process is quite challenging since there are not many random college societies. Our placement cell doesn't recruit any third-year students.
Infrastructure: We can never expect a top-class infrastructure from any DU college, but it's not that bad at all. The amphitheatre has a very lively vibe. It has an open-air environment, which brings a certain kind of freshness and happiness, especially when in college, so people sit there and interact with each other more often.
Faculty: Teachers are fine. The quality of education in DU is pretty average, as we all know. Vocational courses here are fine too. If we talk about MMRB and HRM, we get to see a lot of talented folks out there from this course only. Subjects offered in this area are interesting and at the same time way too easy.

It is a great college with a diverse crowd and amazing societies. It lacks infrastructure.
Placements: Placements are good. Here, good companies visit our campus, and the placement cell works really hard. The placement scene is not that great, as it's a vocational college, so some companies don't prefer to recruit from here. But the college culture can actually help us to bag a good placement off-campus.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure-wise, the college is not that great. We don't even have a proper amphitheatre, it's just an open area inside the college. The lack of an amphitheatre is actually an issue. Secondly, the campus is small. We will bump into the same person as we wanna avoid three times.
Faculty: Teachers are good and helpful. But again, it differs from one to another. Some teachers are actually very strict and serious. Some don't care much. Classes do get cancelled, or sometimes teachers don't show up. MMRB teachers are pretty good, but some ones aren't. They often cancel at the last moment.
Other: It provides a specialised course. I chose this course because I personally want to pursue marketing in the future, so I did not want to study accounting, statistics, or economics as extra subjects. For me, MMRB is a better choice than B.Com or any other programme. All events are hosted here.

The infrastructure is not very strong. People here are amazing and supportive.
Placements: Around 94 percent of students get placed in vocational courses. The placement cell is quite active. It provides various types of internships and collaborates with other college placement cell societies. If students have any skills, then it is very easy to grab internships.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is okay, not big and not small. Classrooms are quite nice. The library is available. Labs are also active. Wi-Fi facility is available. Sports are now going on in our college. The canteen is small, but the food served is very tasty. Hostel facility is not provided by our college.
Faculty: My course teachers are amazing. They are very supportive. Exams are quite easy. Teachers provide good study materials. They clear our doubts. Faculty members in 1st year were amazing. There is no force to give extra time. Overall, they are good.

On Placements
Q:   What is the highest package offered at CVS, Delhi?
A:

The highest package that is offered at any college is not same for the students of any year as it totally depends on the skillset of the student and how much thorough knowledge the student has. If you are skillful enough you can pull an average package of 6 LPA required you are consistent with your efforts and has a strong communication and persuasion skills. There are not so many placement offers available for the IT sector the reason I think is there are lots of Vocational courses present here.
