Below are some tips which might be useful
- Join societies and make new connections.
- Explore Delhi.
- Now it depends on the course which you are pursuing, if you are from computerSciencethen pick a language and make it as sharp as you can, explore some courses from the web eg. You can visit freecodecamp, codewithharry, coding invaders (paid), coding blocks (paid) and many other pages for courses butIwould recommend to try free material first which anyone can find easily in today's world then start practising on codechef, hackerrank, Leetcode and many more. Then start DSA and try to master it.
- If you are from other courses then go with the flow and work the path which will take you to your goal.
College of Vocational Studies (like all DU-affiliated colleges) adopted the CUET UG exam for admission to its undergraduate courses. At first, it is necessary that aspirants opt for DU during CUET form filling and later apply on the CSAS portal to be eligible for admission. The admission process after the CUET result declaration is explained below:
Step 1: After the declaration of the CUET UG exam, register on the DU CSAS portal in multiple phases.
Step 2: Submit College of Vocational Studies + Course combination preferences in the order of priority on the CSAS dashboard. Here student must select their preferred course and college as the option.
Step 3: The University has released the dates for three DU CSAS Seat Allocation Lists, which will be out in August for all categories.
Step 4: Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the College of Vocational Studies will verify the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate online. The college has an option to 'Accept' or 'Reject' the admission of the student basis the verification.
Step 5: Once College of Vocational Studies accords the approval, candidates will have to pay the 'Admission Fee' to confirm their seat.
Overall, the on-campus placements are good but if you are pursuing a technical course from here then it might not be good enough as the companies that come here are for vocational courses.
So, if you are from a technical background or pursuing a technical course then you need to work consistently on your skillset and grab opportunities that come your way off campus and you can also participate in Placement drive that occur in North Campus or respected DU colleges such as Deshbandhu College which organises its drive and invite students from all over DU.
