The review of Coorg Institute of Technology.
Placements: The placement cell is an okay type as it is an average one. I don't know much about this as I'm still in the first year. As far as I have heard, the placement cell is improving every year. We have a large number of companies coming from the academic year 2016.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. It has all the equipment and the basic to advanced requirements of students to flourish in their field of expertise. As it is situated in an interior location, the atmosphere is just perfect. The infrastructure is good.
Faculty: Some of The faculty members are not supportive. Like they don't see each student in the same way. They are like if your naughty and arrogant they flunk you in internals and you don't get the average at the end. As a result of which you will have to score a minimum of 45\100 in externals to clear the subject.
Other: The fests aren't that good.

The college has the great environment to study, and one can explore their career.
Placements: The placements are important in every college. In our college, especially the mechanical is a great branch to select and present. The placement officer is interested in placing every student to build his career. Even though our seniors batch have got placed in less number that does not count I believe, and the present situation in our college for the placements is good.
Infrastructure: The facilities in the sense that the college lecturers are supportive and encouraging to the students in any of the issues including all the sports and placements. The hostel is good, and it has a good surrounding to learn. The college has a good atmosphere to rome around. All the classrooms are projector-placed and well-suited for the students, who want to learn in a good atmosphere.
Faculty: All the faculty members are well-educated, experienced, skilled, and qualified. All the teaching methods are used including the presentation. The student to faculty ratio is great, and no comments on that topic. The industrial visits will be arranged, and the additional courses will be conducted for the interested students.
Other: The events will be held now and then by the various departments. The fests are organised every year on the campus. The campus is beautiful, which is in the centre south, and you will love the place.

Good place for a general degree but not if you want an authentic college life.
Placements: Placements offered by the college are quite average. Only the students in the top percentile are due to get in. The average package offered is quite mediocre as well. I am a first-year student and have negative feedback from all my seniors. More work needs to be done as the percentage of placements has reduced.
Infrastructure: We do have free Wi-Fi. All the labs and classrooms are adequate but lack state-of-the-art facility. More improvement is needed otherwise, there are enough resources for each student. The hostel is quite old, and the wardens are rude. Games are good. Really weird how students are not allowed to use the lift and are expected to walk up and down flights of stars constantly.
Faculty: All teachers are qualified but some teachers have behavior issues. All the study material provided is top-notch. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass mark is 30. Most teachers are helpful.

Just enjoy the beauty and have fun in your way.
Placements: When I was in college, only one company came to the college. It was a technical support company. Only a few students got placed from our batch and only one from my department. They all went to off-campus interviews. Not even a single senior or batchmate got placed in a core (EC) company with the help of placement department.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good. The library is well-maintained, thanks to the librarian. Sports and games are below average. Computer labs are good but not good enough for browsing. Mechanical and electronics labs are good. The hostel rooms are worth the fee you pay.
Faculty: The faculty members are great, but the staff room politics bring issues. As far as I know, most of them resigned, and only a few are left. Most faculty take revenge during the fourth year through the project. You won't even know the need of most of the subjects, so do the lecturers.
Other: The college is located in a remote area. You won't get enough exposure to industries. It has a nice weather and a beautiful place. Getting permission for an outing and industrial visits are hard. All new endeavours will have to pass through hard times because of staff room politics. You are just a business to them once you are out they don't care about you.

Other: College is present in a calm and beautiful place. Very motivating nature around the college. Importance is given to Sports and other activities also. Moderate placements are available in the campus. And they also take the students to other colleges where pool interviews are conducted. Good campus facilities are present. The college faculty is also good. We can enjoy the campus life and good crowd is present.
