Review of Cotton University.

Placements: There is a placement cell which is only just for name. As far as I know, they don't provide any opportunities to students. No, the internship isn't provided here. I have a very warm experience in cotton if I take the count on personality development. Cotton is rich in literature study and cultural programs. Many students of cotton are in the post of very high rank in the civil service of Assam and in the ministry of Assam. I got only a scholarship for being an OBC student and no other stipend as a student.

Infrastructure: If I have to say about course teachers completed on time no worries about that they have the best teachers and to give efforts in building the students growth, academic wise also they are good. Biology faculty members are good. No, I am not residing in a hostel. The hostel rooms out here are on a sharing basis around 4 students share one big room. Yes, PGs are available here. The base feels being around Rs. 5000. Food is just below average. I have gathered this information from my friends since I have my own house here.

Faculty: They are efficient in their respective fields, but still, there are vacancies for professor posts around 150. Admission and examination branches should be more respectful of their work. The professors of the Physics department are very friendly and helpful in understanding the course. The syllabus of the course is well covered with various important topics, with a paper on English reading and writing skills, which is mandatory to pass each semester. The postgraduate course is 4 semesters. Each semester has 5 subject papers and an English paper.

It is the best university for M.Sc. in Mathematics.

Placements: CU Guwahati's average package for UG graduates is Rs. 5.15 LPA. The placement cell of the university organizes training sessions by various guest lecturers and reputed, established members of the industry. This ensures that students learn from them.

Infrastructure: The campus facilities and infrastructure are quite good. All the campuses are spread over 40 acres. The campus has well-equipped labs and AC-equipped classrooms with Wi-Fi. Hostel facilities are also available for students. Mess and canteen food are good.

Faculty: All teachers have Ph.D. degrees except a few of them. The quality of teaching is good, and the faculty members are quite knowledgeable. The course includes advanced topics like deep learning, which makes it almost industry-ready for our students. Semester exams are not that difficult.

Cotton University: The prestigious University of Assam.

Placements: There are more than 100 students in our statistics department combining both bachelor's and master's degrees. The placement cell in our university has become active recently which is from last 1.5 years. Many companies from different sectors have come to our university for providing placement.

Infrastructure: Our department has a library consisting of books for our course. There is a main library in our college which consists of books on different courses and also various newspapers, magazines and other knowledgeable books. I don't know much about hostels.

Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality varies based on teachers. Some teachers are good at teaching and completing the course on time, while some are not. The final exams of each semester are held after 6 months.

Other: I chose to study statistics because I was always interested in numbers. When I studied statistics during my higher secondary that is in class 12th, I got to know that studying statistics opens a lot of paths as it is required in almost all sectors be it in medical, engineering, agriculture, etc.

Good facilities in college.

Placements: The Placements in this college are pretty average. About 40-50% of the students got placed last year. The highest package was of 10 Lacs, the lowest was around 3 lacs with an average of 4.5 Lacs. Top recruiting companies are Jio, Maruti, Tesla, Hero and many more. Internships are offered to top scorers of the first year.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of the campus are pretty good. The campus is spread across 40 acres. Wi-Fi is made available on the campus along with good modified labs and classrooms with ACs. Hostel facility is also available for the students. The mess and canteen’s food is good.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are helpful in providing all the information to the students everyday. They clear all the doubts of the students online as well. The teachers are highly qualified and their teaching skills are awesome. The course curriculum is quite relevant.

Strong academics and good infrastructure.

Placements: More or less, both internships and placements are offered by the college. The placement cell tries to bring in companies like Amazon, TCS, and Wipro. The average package that was offered was 3.5 lakh rupees per year. Along with that for internships, various companies come.

Infrastructure: The place is quite lively, with sports and games areas for engaging and refreshing. There is a common room in the hostel and a study area. The hostel rooms are quite clean, but there is a mess where the food is of above-average quality. The department has a reasonable facility with a library, classroom, etc.

Faculty: The exams are moderate, but with regular studies, the exam can be cleared and being active in the class will help you get more class participation marks. The course and the teachers are of top quality and they try to give consulting and guidance in a way that helps in creating critical thinking and being industry-ready.

Course is good but can be improved more.

Placements: Companies like Tech Variable and Zaloni came to recruit students in our department of CSIT. The highest package was around 4LPA. Our course also provided internships for us. Some of our students including me got into CFSL (Central Forensic Science Laboratory) and others got into NEIST, Jorhat for our internships.

Infrastructure: The classroom has projectors and our labs have decent powerful computers with GPUs. The classroom and labs have Wi-Fi and ethernet available. The library is good enough and has all kinds of books available for other subjects except for our course Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning as it is a new course.

Faculty: All the teachers have a Ph.D. degree except for some of them. The teaching quality is good and the faculty members are knowledgeable enough. The course has some advanced topics like deep learning which makes it almost industry ready for us students. The semester exams are not that difficult.

Other: I chose the course of M.Sc. Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning because this course has a lot of scope in the future and present. Most things are running on AI and the world is changing through AI. I wish the only thing the college can improve is to teach more about the practical knowledge of this field. Various events and fests happen throughout the college every year with great enthusiasm. This college is full of events and extracurricular activities.
