Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2026

Satisfied with the faculty and infrastructure, but somewhere dissatisfied with the placements.
Placements: Around 10% students got placed during the placements drive. The highest package offered is around 5 LPA, the lowest is below 2 LPA and the average package secured is 3 LPA. For my course, recruiters are from banks life IDFC bank and Axis bank. According to my knowledge, around 15% students of my course got internships in various banks. The most commonly offered role is that of junior manager in a bank as B.Com is a banking degree.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is above average according to my opinion. The labs are up to the mark for practical classes. The Library is huge and well maintained with all the revised books and journals. Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. The hostel is great too with two students sharing a single room. The quality of food given by the mess is very delicious and made with proper hygiene. There is a gym for the hostel students. Medical facilities and first aid are also provided in the hostel for the students. There are various tournaments conducted for sports students and they are given concessions in the fee too.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and well trained to teach. They are very helpful and one can always approach them to clear any doubts regarding the studies. The curriculum of the course is very good to give exposure to the students of the real world. It definitely makes the students ready for industry. This is because the major aspect of this course in practical. The semester exams are not very difficult. They are quite easy for the students who study well and the passing percentage is around 35%.
Other: I chose this course due to it’s creativity with my field of interest that is banking. I wish more practical lectures be included in my course to ensure that the students are fully ready to work in the industry after the completion of this course. Additionally, many events and fest are organized in the college to lift the enthusiasm of the students. Scholarships are given to meritorious, needy and reserved category students.

It is an average college, good in studies and teachers.
Placements: Approximately 40% of students were placed. The highest salary package offered was 4 LPA. The average salary package offered was 2.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. ICICI Prudential, Wipro, Tele Performance were the top recruiting companies. There were no internships in this college. The roles offered were branch sales profile, outsourcing profile, and BPO profile.
Infrastructure: In this college, the classrooms and gallery were ventilated but furniture. The electric appliances were outdated. Small and separate canteen for boys and girls. Outside college, there were many options for eating and sitting. The hostel was not good. Medical facilities were not proper. The sports and games were average.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful and well qualified. They will guide students in every step. The course curriculum was good but lacks in the practicals. Students will not be ready for current industry things. Semester exams were average. The pass percentage was 33%. Exams were properly conducted with proper checking.
Other: This college was near to my house and I feel comfortable studying in this college. Mostly my friends were in this college. But if some who want practical exposure and industry-oriented studies choose some another college. I would like to improve the infrastructure, practical exposure in this course. It was average in placements and extraordinary activities. Sports supervisors in the decathlon for girls were provided.

It is the best affordable college in Amritsar.
Placements: Around 60-70% of students are placed from this campus. BCA is the most recruitment courses, and most of the computer-based companies come for recruitment, and provide jobs with the best salary packages and other beneficiaries.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very good. All the facilities are available in this college hostels and campus, but the only thing is that the Wi-Fi is not available in the hostel as well all the facilities have been very much enhanced.
Faculty: All the teachers of the college are highly knowledgeable and have been very helpful, and other problems for understanding the problems of the students. The teachers help to solve every problem, and they have with the students.

It has the best faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: About 60% of students got placement in top companies like TCS, Accenture, Wipro, Bajaj Allianz, Decathlon, etc. Some students got placement in local companies. As per my knowledge, the highest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA by Wipro. The lowest salary package offered by Bajaj Allianz was Rs. 10,000 per month. The top roles offered for Commerce students are operation manager and account manager.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are pretty much airy with proper light. The infrastructure of the college is good. Department libraries are offering books for students other than the main library. Wi-Fi facility is available in the lab only. There is a separate ground outside the college campus for students interested in sports. Sports students get additional benefits from the college administration. A medical lab is also available if any mishappening occurs.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are pretty much helpful and understanding. Tax professor Sajan is the best faculty member. He is always ready to help the students. Semester exams are not difficult. I pursued a bachelor doing a full-time job and passed exams with good results and scores.

I must say that you have to take admission in the college at your own risk.
Placements: 30-50% of students got placed in companies like Wipro, Infosys etc. The package offered is around 15,000 per month to commerce students, and the highest package is offered to computer science students. No internships are offered in the commerce field. Jobs like accountant and sales assistants are offered.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of labs and hostel is not as per the fee of the college. There is no Wi-Fi facility available in the hostels. The food quality is average. The canteen doesn't open for the whole year, and it is only a small room near the student center. Students used to go outside to eat bhelpuri and nutri kulcha.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are very good in our college. They have wonderful knowledge related to the subjects. Some teachers don't make students understand the subject. Instead, they give themselves assurance that they know about the subject.
Other: The college organises certain events and programs, but due to the pandemic, there is no event since 2 years.

Not recommended to any student. But teaching staff is really helpful .
Placements: No placements for commerce students. Not even 1 student is recruited in any company . Only recruitment is available for BCA students. Even no internship is offer to commerce students. No training is being given any the college. No practical knowledge is given by the knowledge .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of my college is really bad. It is just like zoo. No games activities is given by the college. Labs having computer doesn't work. Fans of the classes are not working sometimes. Benches are not comfortable. Windows are damaged. No canteen is in college.
Faculty: Teaching quality is super. Highly knowledgeable teachers are teaching. The way they teaches us are commendable. They provide full support to the students. They provide practical information to the students. By the teachers efforts it make easy to the students to pass the exams .
Other: College should organise events functions fest to make college life enjoyable. Even college should provide scholarships to the general caste students also. They should develop their infrastructure.

Overall it is a good college, but it can be better.
Placements: It is very poor performance in providing placements or any type of internship. Very few students get placement or internships after pursuing a degree from our college. The salary offered is very less.
Infrastructure: It has poor infrastructure, and it has started developing very slowly now. It is not up to our expectations. They take more fees but do not provide facilities like that. It provides poor facilities and no proper sanitation.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and highly qualified. They always help students. The best part of our college is the teaching staff members. Staff members are very good. It is the best college among all colleges in our city. They are very knowledgeable and friendly.

It has the best teachers and average infrastructure. The administration is bad here.
Placements: Companies like TCS and ICICI Bank visit our college for placements. Almost 60-70% of the students get placement. Companies give the jobs like a clerk. Many students get the placement. Recently ICICI Bank visited our college and hired almost 70% of students. A good percentage of students got placement as software engineers.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good on just ground floors, but the classrooms available on other floors are very bad. You will like this college.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are well-educated. Their teaching skills are the topmost. You will get your answers to every question very quickly. They explain every concept in a great manner. Teachers in our college are very good and cooperative. Teaching is the only plus point of this college. They will guide you on every step very well.
Other: Our college conducts some extracurricular activities like NSS, and you will enjoy this as it will boost your confidence.
