DRIEMS: An extensive review.
Placements: The placements are genuine but not with good packages. Computer science has the best placement. The average package is around 3.6 lacs, ranging from 2.8 to 5 lacs annually. You can check LinkedIn. The college provides internship alerts, but most of them are paid.
Infrastructure: A very big and green campus of 160 acres is there. Well-equipped classrooms with projectors and libraries are there. The labs should be improved. Good hostel facilities and medical facilities are available. Many sports and games, along with a gym, are available. The college canteen and cafeteria are so good.
Faculty: Faculty members have good subject knowledge and helpful. Some subjects are outdated and should be changed. Curriculum should be improved for industry requirements,. Difficulty level of semester exams is easy with more than 85%. Exams should be more challenging in order to make students more competitive.
Other: Computer Science is the best branch in this college if you have genuine interest in coding. In past five years (2019 onward), students have secured placements in leading service-based companies like TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Infosys, Bourntec, Apmosys, Ajatus, Pinnacle, etc. with an average placement rate of 50%. Other branches are cost-effective, offers less competition for jobs and internships, and have a close-knit community. The college should make students prepare for core branches for Electronics and other non-IT branches for companies like Qualcomm, Broadcom, Reliance, Airtel, Havells, Cisco, etc. Some areas of engineering needs improvement, such as alumni network, funding and scholarships, real-world problem solving, etc. Unfortunately, events, fests, and coding hackathons are not conducted. Additionally, the network and connectivity between different branches could be improved.
