The BTech Mechanical Engineering syllabus is not the same across all colleges, as every college committee sets a particular coursework pattern at the start of every academic year to be followed for the respective batch. The syllabus includes some core subjects, interesting electives, and lab work that gives detailed knowledge to the students about the workings of the field. 

Below are some of the general subjects that you can pick during your BTech studies, as these course will advance your technical and practical knowledge:

• Mathematics: A mathematical background includes understanding of Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Statistic Stamina.
• Physics: Mechanics, electricity & magnetism, kinetics & dynamics, thermodynamics and wave & optics.
• Chemistry: This common general chemistry course involves sub-topics such as organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry among others.
• Programming: C+,  Python,  Java
• Engineering fundamentals: Statistics, dynamics, fluids and their action, heat and its work, properties of matter
• Engineering design: Aesthetics, reasoning process, design tools and methods, using of computer-aided design (CAD).

Rest, the subjects taught in the BTech courses would be specialization-specific, based on your chosen field.

After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced

The BTech syllabus is not similar in all the Indian colleges. Talking about the first year of BTech, the general subjects taught are almost similar that include Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and other engineering fundamentals to provide a basic foundation for the BTech course ahead. Further, the BTech syllabus will differ on the basis of the specialisation you have chosen and the college, different colleges follow their own set of guidelines regarding the course curriculum that includes both core and elective subjects along with practical lab work. 

NIT Manipur JEE Main cutoff 2024 has been released for admission to the BTech courses. During the Round 1 cutoff, the closing rank for CSE was 25886 for the General category students under the AII India Quota. Among OBC candidates, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering stood at 8750. B.E. / B.Tech	Candidate must have completed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology in relevant stream with minimum 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent. OR Candidate must have completed B.Sc. from UGC/ Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject.
After 10th Diploma	Candidate passed 10th class/SSC examination or its equivalent, with at least 35% aggregate marks from any recognized institute/board are eligible to apply.
