It can be better regarding basic residential amenities and the placement scene.

Faculty: The faculty is very approachable and is ready to clear the doubts and discuss stuff beyond the classroom. Teaching is in the Socratic style of discussion, inspired by the top colleges in the West. The curriculum is equipped with rigour to build the readiness of students to pursue a career in Science.

College of dreams and goals.

Faculty: Academics are a bit tougher than other colleges. Teachers are much qualified and knowledgeable as they have experiences and many achievements with them. Faculty members use many old teaching methods to teach us which is very unique as we also get help from it. Exams are likely to other colleges held in every 1.5 months.

Overall, it is the best university in India.

Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified. Most of them being researchers. Many are from Harvard, MIT, University of Berkley, etc. The curriculum is really good for research purposes (in BS). The difficulty of exams depends on the professors. Most of the students pass with ease.

No placements but fantastic research opportunities.

Faculty: The professors were awesome and really helpful. Lab assistants are also very helpful, even in the lab exams. We can contact a professor by email, and they replied too. We had the freedom to go to any department and meet the professors if we need to. The course structure is very good. We have to read all Science subjects (PCMB and engineering) for first 3 semesters. This might be a very tough job but it is necessary for further research in some interdisciplinary research projects. Along with that...

IISC through the eyes of 1 sem student.

Faculty: Although curriculum stands on a tougher side, hard enough to make us realise that we didn't studied anything in 11th and 12th there are ( 2 - 3 days) labs in a week depending on semester, which are quite interesting and knowledgeable at the same time.
