IAT Exam 2026 Cut Off: Check IISER, IISc Banglore & IIT Madras Merit List, Cut Off/ Closing Rank Here

Following the previous years' trends, the exam officials release the round-wise IISER institute-wise closing ranks. IAT cutoff marks refer to the minimum marks test takers need to score to get admission in the programmes offered by the participating institutes. 

The following rules for reallocation of seats will be applicable in every round of seat allocation:

Unfilled OPEN PwD category seats for an academic program will be reallocated and treated as OPEN category seats for allocation.
Unfilled GEN EWS PwD category seats for an academic program will be reallocated and treated as GEN-EWS category seats for allocation.
Unfilled OBC NCL PwD category seats for an academic program will be reallocated and treated as OBC-NCL category seats for allocation.
Unfilled SC PwD category seats for an academic programme will be reallocated and treated as SC category seats for allocation.
Unfilled ST PwD category seats for an academic programme will be reallocated and treated as ST category seats for allocation.

IISER Marks vs Rank is generally the data interpretation of the candidates who had appeared in the IAT examination. Here, candidates will be able to know the expected AIR rank/ category rank that they will achieve based on the marks scored by them in the IISER examination. 

IAT candidates' ranks are based on their combined scores from the four sections (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology). The exam comprises 60 questions with a total score of 240 marks. 

The cutoff rank for IISER will be released online. Meanwhile, students can check the previous year cutoff of IISER to know what rank is required for admission.

In the event that there is fewer number of seats available under a particular category in an academic programme than the number of
candidates with the same category-wise rank seeking admission to the B.S. (Medical Sciences and Engineering) program, then all those candidates will be offered seats by creating requisite number of supernumerary seats.

The IISER entrance exam scores are accepted by 11 IISER institutes across India. Apart from that, IISc Bangalore and IIT Madras also consider the scores for admission to BS courses offered by them.

There are a total of 2,363 seats offered at the IISER institutes through IAT scores. The courses offered are BS-MS, BS and BTech. 

IISER entrance exam 2026 was scheduled for June 7, 2026. The exam was from 9 AM to 12 PM. IISER Berhampur conduct the IISER Aptitude Test 2026.

IISER counselling is conducted in multiple rounds. Students who qualify the IISER entrance exam can participate in the counselling process. 

The IISER Entrance Exam 2026 counselling process is completely online. Candidates qualifying for the IISER entrance exam 2026 exam will be eligible to participate in the process. The IISER counselling process involves the following stages.

• Filling out the online registration and counselling form
• Paying the registration fee
• Uploading required documents
• Seat allotment
• Seat acceptance fee payment

Once a seat is allotted, students have to visit the allotted institute to complete the admission by paying the fee and showing the documents.

The Seat Acceptance Fee is to be paid only after an offer of admission has been made to the candidate. The SAF will have to be paid as per the category entered by the candidate in the application.

• INR 35,000(INR 25,000 + INR 10,000, Non-refundable administrative fee) for General, EWS, OBC, OBC-NCL, PwD, KM/Kashmiri Pandit/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) categories.
• INR 17,500 (INR12,500 + INR 5,000 (Non-refundable administrative fee) for SC/ST categories.
• Failure to deposit the SAF within the stipulated time will result in the cancellation of the order. Furthermore, you will not be considered in any subsequent rounds of seat allotment during admission.
• Once you register in your allotted IISER, this amount will be adjusted against your? First semester fee.
