On Fees and Eligibility

Q:   Who all are eligible for M.Sc at Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College?

A:

The eligibility criteria for joining MSc courses at Dr. D Y Patil Medical College include possessing an MBBS degree pass certificate from a recognised medical college or institute as per the Indian Medical Council Act. Additionally, candidates must hold either a permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS or equivalent qualification issued by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council. These stringent requirements ensure that candidates have a solid foundation in medical education and are equipped with the necessary qualifications to pursue advanced studies in fields such as Pharmacology, Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, and Microbiology. By adhering to these eligibility criteria, Dr. D Y Patil Medical College maintains high academic standards and ensures that students admitted to its MSc programs are well-prepared to excel in their chosen fields of study.

Q:   Can I get M.Sc in Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College with a 320 score ?

A:

NEET PG serves as the sole entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS courses in Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, as mandated by the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. The All India Rank (AIR) is determined based on the total marks scored out of 800 in the examination. For instance, candidates scoring between 324 and 315 secure ranks between 50,001 and 1,00,000. Closing ranks for different MS courses in the first round range from 47,135 to 72,149. Notably, in MS in ENT, the closing rank in the last round is significantly lower at 11,982. Considering these statistics, a student scoring 320 marks in NEET PG might have opportunities for admission into certain MS courses, particularly those with closing ranks closer to or above the achieved marks, depending on various factors like reservation quotas and availability of seats.

Q:   Can I get admission in Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College for MBBS with 60% in Class 12th?

A:

For candidates with a minimum of 60% in their 12th-grade examinations, eligibility criteria remain consistent with NEET-UG requirements. They must have successfully completed or be in the process of completing their 10+2 examination from a recognised board or university. Similarly, they are required to have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology. This criterion ensures that candidates demonstrate a strong foundational knowledge in these core subjects essential for pursuing a career in the medical field. Adhering to these standards maintains the integrity and quality of medical education, ensuring that students admitted possess the necessary academic background to excel in their studies and future medical practice.

Our institute provides good infrastructure, decent faculty members, and average food.
Placements: Less than 5% of students get internships in the first year. Every student will get an internship at the end. Many people are graduating from the course but did not clear the NEET PG entrance exam.
Infrastructure: Our college and hospital infrastructure is top-notch. There are some issues with Wi-Fi around the campus. Classrooms are old but well maintained. Library is beautiful. Mess food is good and the hostel is flawless. Sports facilities are good.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and mostly are armed force graduates. They are helpful on a personal level. The course curriculum is imposed by NMC. It is an extremely challenging course that prepares students for difficult professional lives.
Other: I chose this course because I want to be a doctor and help the society. Current changes in course is put forth by the NMC that covers most of the problems. Fests promote healthy relationship between juniors and seniors. It gives a lively atmosphere around the campus.

They will force u to smoke, but don't go for a sip anyway.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are well qualified, knowledgeable and helpful I get the feeling that the students that completed their MBBS or doing PG are more like us, and understand us That is the most valuable part The exams aren't that difficult in this college The pass percentage here is 50 % U need to have atleast 50% in theory and 50% in practical .

Good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Not applicable. Medical college doesn't provide placement. We don't get placed. We have to work in any other hospital or go for our further studies. And they don't provide any stipend in an internship. The roles of students are to learn from clinics.
Infrastructure: There are 4 lecture halls, 250 seats are available per year, the library is state of the art and excellently furnished with all the medical books and journals available. In mess food quality is very good, hygienic. Hostel infrastructure is good with separate bathrooms, kitchen, single-seater are available with AC and Non AC too. No issues were there. Hospitals have their different department with wards, OPD and they have facilities for robotic surgery and laparoscopic too.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified with speciality and super speciality degree. Generally, the teaching is slide presentation and they small group teaching and tutorial are also taken. Yes and everything is useful. Teachers are very cooperative in every way. Clinics and lecture time are taken separately. We have undergraduate post graduate and super speciality courses too.
