You can study well don't expect placements.

Placements: J Magdum college of engineering have bit low percentage of placement. They have only companies for computer Science information technology electronics department. The top companies come for recruiting are like TCS, ACC RDC concrete, Capgemini having package near about 3 lacs. For mechanical there are local industries which comes for placement. College is not providing any kind of internships you have to find on your own responsibility.

Infrastructure: College have spread in area of 8 acres having a bit okay infrastructure. Mechanical civil department have one building CSE IT are in one department and one for electronics department. College provide hostel only for girls not for boys. College have Good classrooms with projectors Wi-Fi. College have a big library which is having large no. Of books. Labs are good with new equipments.

Faculty: College is providing average quality faculty members. You have to study on your own if you want to score good marks. Senior teachers are also there which are excellent in teaching having Ph.D. degrees. Courses provided comes under shivaji university which are quite behind the universities like Pune Mumbai universities.

Other: I did mechanical engineering from J magdum. I enjoyed my college life. In J magdum you can study well with chilling too. College should improve teaching staff all over the departments. College should improve the committee present in college. College encourages students for various national level events all over India. JJM is also on top in sports in State level competitions. JJM conduct a national level event of college every year.

Best college in Maharashtra, still pending for Autonomous approval due to small area.

Placements: Mechanical engineer's have wide scope in placement as they are eligible to almost every corporate company, be it software company, thus out of the 350+ students placed in the year 2018, 138 belong to mechanical department only, such huge placement rate was indeed an outstanding performance by our college, companies like TCS, Wipro, TCE, ACC, L&T, PARI, Cooper and Bridgestone were some mass recruiters in our college.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is old but is still efficient, mech and civil being the major trades required lot of space be it laboratories or experimental rooms, our college have provided with both in this regard, classrooms are equipped with projectors, canteen is present with okay food as most students have joined mess and others bring their own tiffin, only girls hostel is present, boys have to rent room or apply for gov operated hostels or even private hostels.

Faculty: Mechanical department had all the experienced faculty members who had both industrial experience of working and also been in teaching field for several years, due to project based learning and visits and also compulsory internship of almost 3 weeks gave us enough industrial exposure, the intake limit for mechanical engineering is of 120 students which are divided to class of 2 each of 60 students, and the teaching staff of 18 and non teaching staff of 6 are also present.

Other: Mechanical department organises their own event called "Mechtantra" along with events like AeS, IOE and SORT. We also celebrate various national holidays out of which Shivjayanti is major in our college and is one of the best celebration we have, college annual gathering is also present in same week of Feb which lasts for 2 days, and along with this all one can also be a part of NSS, EDC, SWSA and major events like Modra, Ignition, Avaahan.
