Admission to Dr Subhash University can be a bit difficult. The minimum requirement of marks for the open category is 45% of the aggregate score, and for the reserved candidates, it extends to 40% of the total score. The candidates must have a combination of Physics, Maths, and Chemistry/ Computer (Engineering) or Physics-Biology and Maths-Chemistry (Pharmacy) for admission to Dr. Subhash University Junagadh Degree courses. Students who want to apply to MCA courses would require Business Maths, or Statistics in HSC. You also need to score a minimum of 54 marks out of 120 in the GUJCET exam. Some of the courses also require CMAT scores.

To get admission to MCA at Dr. Subhash University, students are required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. The university offers admission in the first year as well as directly to the second year of MCA through the Lateral Entry course. As per the eligibility criteria for the first year of MCA, students need to pass Class 12 with Mathematics or Business Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects and graudation with 50% aggregate from a recognised university. For admission through Lateral Entry, students are needed to pass graudation with 50% aggregate with BCA/ BSc (IT)/ BSc (Computer) from a recognised university (45% aggregate is for SC/ST/SEBC category candidates).  Admission to MCA is entrance-based. The university accepts a valid score of Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) as prescribed by AICTE. Aspirants need to qualify for the entrance-exam with a valid score.

Candidates can get admission based on their merit or entrance exam scores as required by the course. Candidates must qualify entrance exams such as GUJCET/ NEET for admission to BPT, BAMS and BPharm. Further for all other courses the university selects candidates based on merit in the last qualifying exam. The annual fee for a four-year BTech course at Dr Subhash University is INR 77,175.
