Most of them come here for a degree, Even if any company comes here, it offers very low packages and are not worthy at all.

You can join if you want, but mostly placements are not for technical roles.
Placements: However, when it comes to placements, my overall experience was not very positive. Most of the companies that visited the campus were for non-technical roles, even though many students, including myself, came from technical backgrounds. As a result, there was a noticeable gap between what we studied and the opportunities we were offered during campus recruitment. Technical roles, especially in software development, IT, and core domains, were very limited.
Infrastructure: The college offers decent facilities with well-equipped labs, a resourceful library, and classrooms that support learning. However, the infrastructure could be upgraded further to meet modern standards and provide students with a better overall experience.
Faculty: The college provides basic facilities like labs, library, and classrooms that are helpful, but not up to the mark. Exam management is average and needs more efficiency. Overall, infrastructure and facilities require improvement. I will rate it average.

The college has good faculty members and average placement.
Placements: This year, around 45% of students got placed. The highest package was 45 lakhs, and the lowest was around 4 LPA. Many top companies visited our campus, like Infosys, Lake, Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, Jio, Tata, etc. The main jobs were data analyst and sales-related.
Infrastructure: Our college has 6 libraries, from which we can also issue books, and the college is not fully Wi-Fi oriented, it is only accessible for lab computers. We have large classrooms and 8 computer labs, and our college doesn't have hostel facilities but has a canteen.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and highly qualified in their respective fields; they have more than 20 years of experience. This is a good course and has job opportunities. Semester exams are moderately difficult, and the passing percentage is 40% and 37.5 in marks.
Other: The course is good. Our college organizes different events for students, like freshers for newcomers, winter carnival, regular committee events, etc.

Good for degree, but bad for campus life and facilities.
Placements: The placements here in VSICS are not very good. But you can easily grab one if you're good at what you're doing. The companies routinely visit the campus every year, providing basic salary packages ranging from 3-5 LPA. One of the major companies is TCS.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not of any modern standards. There are bad computer systems. Wi-Fi is available, that's one thing. The library is fine. There are not a good number of books to choose from. The book issue system is not nice for students as well. The disciplinary measures just take away everything sometimes.
Faculty: The faculties are not very nice. They do lack some experience compared to the bigger institutes. The attitude of faculties is not very great. They are helpful at times but sometimes even they seem confused about some general problems aside from the ongoing syllabus.
Other: I chose BBA from this college because of its very affordable fee structure and it comes under Kanpur University (CSJMU). Also, I want to pursue an MBA and am going to give CAT 2025. Hence, BBA will have already enhanced my knowledge about the basic business terms currently ongoing in the industry. The college's location and campus are some of the worst that one might want and it also follows a dress code. The college is only for people who want to afford some good education at extremely low fees. The events here are not large-scale at all, and they often charge for everything they provide. The parking fee is also Rs. 5/daily.

It is the best value for money college in Kanpur, as the quality-to-money ratio is quite good.
Placements: According to my seniors, 85-90% of students got placed. The highest package is 24 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. The average package ranges from 6-8 LPA. Top companies that recruited students are Syska, Reliance, Tata, Cognizant, etc. 60% of students got internships in the 2nd year, and 80% in the 3rd year. Top roles offered are marketing manager, business development executive, financial analyst, human resource manager, and operations manager.
Infrastructure: The college has a Wi-Fi table, and the speed is okay, with about 50 Mbps. Labs are clean and well-equipped. The library is small but sufficient. Overall, I would rate it 8 out of 10. Mess and canteen food are okay, and not much variety. An ambulance is present on campus almost at all times. A fair amount of sports and games are organised 2 times in a semester.
Faculty: Most teachers are helpful and knowledgeable in their respective fields. Some teachers are a little arrogant. As far as I know, the course curriculum is relevant, and many students get internships and are later placed with a decent salary. Semester exams are a bit lengthy, but overall doable. The pass percentage is 80-88%.
Other: Since I am from a commerce background, I chose BBA. I wanted to study in Kanpur, so I chose this college. Many of my school friends have also joined it, so I figure it must be good.

Really good placements and affordable education for a middle-class kid.
Placements: All I can say about my college's placement is that it is above average and satisfactory seeing other colleges in Kanpur, VSICS offers the best placement. The average package of this college can be 3-4 LPA, and the highest package can move to 10-12 LPA. If you've knowledge and have studied the course, then you'll definitely get placed.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is below average. Campus is not too big, it just has academic buildings only, i.e., there is no park in this campus, but rest all the facilities are good. Labs are proper functioning and the machinery is excellent. Classrooms are quite big, and the washrooms are neat and clean. The library also has a decent collection of books you need for your academics.
Faculty: Faculty members are 50-50. Some faculty members are just excellent; you'll be very happy to attend their classes and gain knowledge. On the other side, some are the worst; they just come to pass their time in classes. But overall, faculty members are very excellent, and they do their job very well. I liked them.
Other: I chose this course because it is very effective and cost-efficient compared to B.Tech. The best thing about this course is that it's a professional computer course and teaches you all the important skills. Something they could improve is increasing the number of labs per week. There are only 2 labs per week, which is very less. The college has 3-4 main fests, including Srijan, Energy, and Fun Fiesta, and many more small events take place throughout the year. Scholarship is given by the government, so if you're lucky, you can get up to a 40% scholarship of the total fees.

Review of Dr Virendra Swarup Institute of Computer Studies (VSICS).
Placements: The chances of placements are a bit low because companies are not that reachable in our college. But, they provide placements in management roles for our course BCA. They offer internships, but they are not that good. As we are entering the field of a technical background, they only provide management-based internships and jobs.
Infrastructure: There are games such as kabaddi, cricket, and badminton played in our college. There is a very hygienic canteen with tasty and healthy food. Cleanliness is very good, and all staff and students are very humble. They provide a ragging-free campus. Labs and classrooms are large but not equipped with very good air conditioning. Our library is rich with books and provides a very good environment.
Faculty: Our pass percentage is like all other colleges, around 38%, but faculty members are very good. However, the higher authorities, including the principal, are not that understanding. The exams are not difficult, they are of a moderate level of difficulty. I suggest the college may not be suitable for everyone, especially those coming from outside or from areas far away from Kanpur and Unnao.
