B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2018
3.2
Review of BITS Edu Campus.
Placements: Design engineer and site supervisor are the top roles offered in civil engineering course. Internships are not mandatory. Information regarding salary packages offered, companies which provide placements, etc., are available on our college website. It depends on students to get jobs which they destined to. The placement cell of our college is always willing to give its best.
Infrastructure: Our college has a very good infrastructure, along with fountains, gardens and every other thing which a college can probably provide. It is not an ancient building, so there are new facilities. Our college is strict in terms of security so that students focus on lectures and don't roam around the beautifully landscaped campus. Ample parking space is available for two-wheelers and four-wheelers.
Faculty: The course curriculum is as per the university norms. It depends on students what to learn and how to learn it. There will be no spoonfeeding in learning here, but if students seriously focus on submitting whatever provided by teachers, then it can help a lot in their exams. Faculty members give their best as they can.

Its good for MBA and engineering.
Placements: The companies are visiting the campus for placements, and I'm one of the students who got placed in good companies. This year, the placement season started in September, and now at this time, almost 30-40 students of computer science engineering got placed in the good companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of BITS campus is urban. All those facilities are available which a university or a college should have. There is a separate building for all the departments so that the students don't get confused to find their study room. BITS has almost all the books related to the engineering.
Faculty: The faculty members are talented and have a good knowledge of the relative fields. They all are very supportive, they teach and clear the doubts. They apply a practical approach to the students. GTU course and curriculum is well- formed to shape the students.
Other: BITS has Aahvan, the state level tech fest, which is the one of the biggest techfest.

About my college, Babria Institute of Technology.
Placements: I got placement in Aditya Birla as an assistant engineer. It was a good campus, and also lots of companies visit the campus. The college also provided some extra lectures to gain knowledge about the interview. Babria has a department of placement and training, and that's a good thing of Babria.
Infrastructure: BITS has a great infrastructure, you can see on the website. The canteen is fabulous. All facilities and all other rehabilitation are available. There is a good sports ground. One more good thing about Babria is that they have different gardens as per the purposes.
Faculty: All the faculty are good, knowledgeable and experienced. They are always ready to teach someone and help at any time, anywhere and that is the good thing about our college. All are good at their subject and also have some extra knowledge, so they are also helpful in other activities. They have practical knowledge and try to teach all the students practically.

Totally satisfied, and I'm proud of me that I'm Babarian.
Placements: The placements are good on the campus. Our college gave 95% placement in this current year 2017-18. The number of companies arrived the campus to hire the fresher students and gave them experience and good salary packages in each branch of our college. Every student can apply for placements in the final year.
Infrastructure: Our college has a huge campus, and there are mainly five branches in engineering like civil, mechanical, computer engineering. EC, and electrical branch. There are hostels for both boys and girls separately on the campus. Our college has pharmacy and physiotherapy branch. Boys hostel has 100-120 rooms, and in each room, there are three students. There were A/C rooms too. The same in girls hostel. Our college has a large cafeteria too.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful. We can ask whenever we have queries or difficulties. They help us whenever we call or message at night or on holidays. In classrooms, there are projectors too, so with the help of PPTs, they teach us well. There are the numbers of teachers in each branch, and there is one HOD per branch. There are laboratories for each branch, and for each laboratory, there are helpers and assistance.
Other: Every year, our college celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi, Ratri before Navratri(1 evening Garba night till 11 pm). Our college celebrates different types of days in February and a sports week too. In sports week, there were games in both indoor and outdoor. After completing the sports week, they give prizes to the winning teams and winning players.

I like it so much. Not only for civil students, but this is also a good college for all branches.
Placements: The companies are visiting the campus for the placements, and I'm one of the students who got placed in the good companies. This year, the placement season started in September, and now at this time, almost 30-40 students of computer Science engineering got placed in the good companies. For all the branch in BITS, there is a good opportunity to learn, and at the end of the study, you will get a good job. The companies like Cygnet, Collabera, ISRO, Microsoft etc., are visiting the campus for the placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of BITS campus is urban. There are all the facilities that one university or the college should have. There is a separate building for all the departments so that the students can't get confused to find their study room. BITS library has almost all the books related to the engineering, physiotherapy, and pharmacy. There is a bank, Wi-Fi facility, free medical and physio. The classrooms are designed in step manner so that every student can see the board without site block. There is a separate hostel facility for boys and girls. The hostel has a 3-star facility. We are blessed that we didn't suffer from any lack of the infrastructure.
Faculty: The faculty members are talented and have a good knowledge of the relative fields. They all are supportive of the study and doubt solving. They apply the practical approach to teach the students. GTU course and curriculum is well-formed to shape the students. The extra curriculum activities are frequently organised in the campus so that the students be more interactive with the others and be more communicate with the social life and develop a good idea in their mind.
Other: BITS has an Aahvan, the state level tech fest, which is the one of the biggest techfest in GTU. The college organises the other culture fest and campus gathering activities.

This institute is the place of opportunities with the best placements and the morden infrastructure.
Placements: We have to deposit Rs. 10,000 for the interview. More than 50 companies visit the campus to hire the students. You get the job at the average salary of Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 25,000 per month. The local company give the job easily for the students. The opportunities of the job are maximum in this college. Mainly, the companies like Pegasus group, darshan group, L&T, Reliance, Kadam, ACC, Sanghi, Abuja group visit the campus to hire the students.
Infrastructure: The college has the free Wi-Fi facility, MS lab, ACT lab, environment lab, computer lab, and the library is two-stored with more than 36000 books. The books are purchased in the 2015 edition. Each book has a minimum 30 copies, and the common book has 70 copies. All the classrooms have a capacity of 90 students with the projector installed. There are cricket ground and auditorium on the campus. There is cool and hot mineral water available for the students.
Faculty: There are around 48 faculty members in the civil engineering department. There are two heads of the departments for the 1st shift and the 2nd shift. There are 15 qualified PhD professors. There are 18 assistant professors with around 20 lab assistants. The professor to student ratio is 1:30.
Other: There are many events like freshers party, the day before Navratri, and all the days are celebrated during the valiantine week. The Diwali drama, gan patients celebration are for ten days. The field visit at 3 locations for each semester is for the students. There are the government scholarships, etc., for the eligible students.

Other: If you have a passion for sports, then this college is definitely not for you, as they will not allow you to play here. The library is good but you cannot sit in the library for reading purposes at any time you want during the college working hours. You can only sit in the break time i.e of 1 hour. It has the worst canteen I have ever seen and there is a double price for the tasteless food. There is also no place to sit in the canteen if you are late by 10 minutes after the bell. The cultural events here are so poor that for saving money, they cancelled the college event which normally is organised in January 2016. But, the faculty members are very good in the civil stream from all points of view.

I am satisfied with a group of faculty members. There are really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Above 70% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary offered was Rs. 25,000 per month, and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month. The average salary offered was Rs. 15,000 per month. An engineer is a perfect role offered here. The percentage of students who get internships depends on the students' interest. If students think that the offer is convenient, then they accept that placement and attend the interview.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good here, and the laboratories are also nice. The library is also good. As I am not a hosteller, I don't know much about the hostel. However, I know that the quality of the food served is very poor and unhygienic. However, our college canteen is very nice, and the medical facilities are also good. Sports instruments are also provided by our college.
Faculty: Teachers of our college are very helpful and friendly. They understand our problems and give us the perfect solutions for them. The teaching quality of some of the teachers is a little bit boring. However, most of the teachers are good. If students are interested, then the course is very helpful.
