B.Sc. in Physical Science (Computer Science) - Batch of 2026

Decent college with good learning environment and average placements.
Placements: Around 50-70 percent of students got placed depending on the course. The average package is around 3 LPA-5 LPA with the highest going up to 6 LPA-8 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. Internship opportunities are available but students often need to apply on their own. Roles offered are mostly entry-level like support engineer, analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure with proper classrooms, labs, and a library. Wi-Fi is available but it can be slow sometimes. Labs are decent but could be upgraded. Hostel facilities are average. The rooms are manageable and the food quality is okay. There are sports and medical facilities available as well.
Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good but sometimes it depends on the subject and faculty. The curriculum is relevant but needs some updates to match current industry requirements. Semester exams are moderate not too difficult if you study regularly. Pass percentage is quite good, and most students clear exams without much difficulty.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in Science and computer-related subjects. The best part of my course is that it gives both theoretical and practical knowledge. Teachers are supportive and help in understanding concepts clearly. I feel that more practical exposure and industry-level training should be added. The college organizes some events and fests which are enjoyable, and the campus crowd is decent. Connectivity is good and the surroundings are also fine. Scholarships are available but awareness about them should be improved.

It provides a good sense of learning and great exposure in the real field.
Placements: In our course, generally students have to study further in a specific field of their choice in the particular subject that they have graduated from. Via doing further studies, several opportunities came across students, such as working in pharmaceutical labs, as teachers, professors, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is in adequate condition, which is what a student can think of. Labs and stuff are pretty good, as the availability of equipment is not a concern for students, as it is present in a surplus amount in the storage facilities. Hostel facilities are not provided by our college. Facilities provided by the college management are good.
Faculty: Staff members of the college are nice. Teachers are very friendly in our department. The quality that they possess is great. The course curriculum is relevant, as I have understood until now. Exams are pretty much decent if we talk about the difficulty level and stuff.

B.A. (Hons.) in Geography - Batch of 2028

3Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
It has better faculty than most colleges. It has good placements and a learning experience.
Placements: Last year, a placement rate of 60 percent was observed overall in the college. However, some departments did not do so well. The highest package offered in the department of geography is 36 LPA. Internships are available from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing in collaboration with ISRO, and all students who are interested can join. Roles offered in my course vary from research to analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities are not that good. However, they are decent, and the basic amenities are available. Wi-Fi is only available in labs. Classrooms are okay, but need serious renovation as they are quite old. The department library is well-equipped with books from every geographical discipline we would need or would be helpful for us, which is a great asset to the department.
Faculty: All teachers are good, but some stand out from the crowd. In our department, some professors are among India's top 2 percent scientists. Teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. Their way of teaching is really good and interesting. The course curriculum is updated after the NEP2020 change and has a great approach to the discipline. Semester exams are not that tough. However, this solely depends on students and their way of studying.
Other: This course always fascinated me, and I want to take up research as a career, so I chose this course. It is practical and really fascinating. Things to improve would be to invest more in the infrastructure of labs and classrooms.

A decent college under budget.
Placements: Dyal Singh College has an average placement ranging from 4 LPA to 6 LPA and placement is mainly given to those who already have some other skills such as an internship, society work, etc., and extracurricular activities.
Infrastructure: DSC has the largest library among DU colleges making it convenient for students to have a safeguard and peaceful environment. It has good canteen facilities, separate male and female washrooms, medical facilities, sports, etc.
Faculty: Faculty are really helpful offering continuous support and guidance throughout the course. The curriculum has been designed according to the students' needs and required knowledge. The semester exams are easy to moderate not too difficult if you have gone through the syllabus.
Other: Anyone who is looking for a decent college with good infrastructure and crowd can definitely choose Dyal Singh for their higher education. The college will not disappoint you.

College life through my lens.
Placements: I am from the B.Com (Hons) course, you have to maintain a good CGPA in order to get placements. 50-60 percent of students got placed in various companies like Wipro, Deloitte, KPMG, Amazon, Swiggy, etc., at different roles like sales and marketing, HR, finance executive, etc. Ranging salary from 4 LPA to 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: Computer labs and good classrooms are available for commerce classes, but the cons are that some equipment is outdated and doesn't work properly. There is no hostel facility in DSC. Canteen food is really good and affordable for the students. Sports like football, cricket, basketball, and badminton are also available.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. They can make us understand different concepts. The B.Com (Hons) curriculum is really relevant for the outside world as it gives us insights into business, be it company law or financial management. Core subjects are difficult to score, you need to study beforehand to get good marks.
Other: I chose this course because I had a great interest in accounts and commerce. The best thing about this course is that you can relate most concepts to real-life examples and understand trade, marketing, and much more broadly. Events, fest campus crowd, and social aspect of this college are very good, students get hands-on experience while managing the events and cultural activities in the annual fest and other events.
