Affordable DU college with a good campus life and decent placement opportunities.

Placements: Placement at Dyal Singh is very decent compared to other DU colleges. Around 50-60% of students get placement opportunities; by participating overall, it’s good. The average package is around 5-6 LPA, with the highest package between 10-12 LPA. Companies from the Big 5 also join here.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. It’s a very big campus covered with a lot of greenery, and it has a large computer lab and an auditorium. The campus features numerous designated seating areas for students where they can socialize with their friends, and it also boasts a large outdoor space where students can play cricket, football, and basketball.

Faculty: Teachers are genuinely very good. They are cooperative and very helpful. Most of the teachers focus on concept clarity and make it easy for students to understand. They follow the Delhi University curriculum and provide a good academic foundation. Semester exams are not very difficult if students study regularly.

It is a good college with good value for money.

Placements: I'm from the batch 2024-27. The highest package offered is around 8 LPA and the lowest is about 4 LPA. The placement cell works very hard to provide internships and placements for the students. An internship fair is organised annually which provides placement offers and internships to a lot of students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average. Some switchboards are broken. Washrooms are clean and drinking is also okay. There is also an amphitheatre in our college. The canteen is also nice. The huge NCC ground is one of the main attractions of our college.

Faculty: The teachers are also good. There's a mix some of the teachers who are exceptionally helpful, sweet, and always ready to help students in any way possible. The semester exams can be passed if a student regularly attends classes. The difficulty of semester exams varies from subject to subject and semester.

Other: The college societies organise their flagship events in February, March, and April. There are also sports events and a college fest.

College life through my lens.

Placements: I am from the B.Com (Hons) course, you have to maintain a good CGPA in order to get placements. 50-60 percent of students got placed in various companies like Wipro, Deloitte, KPMG, Amazon, Swiggy, etc., at different roles like sales and marketing, HR, finance executive, etc. Ranging salary from 4 LPA to 6 LPA.

Infrastructure: Computer labs and good classrooms are available for commerce classes, but the cons are that some equipment is outdated and doesn't work properly. There is no hostel facility in DSC. Canteen food is really good and affordable for the students. Sports like football, cricket, basketball, and badminton are also available.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. They can make us understand different concepts. The B.Com (Hons) curriculum is really relevant for the outside world as it gives us insights into business, be it company law or financial management. Core subjects are difficult to score, you need to study beforehand to get good marks.

Other: I chose this course because I had a great interest in accounts and commerce. The best thing about this course is that you can relate most concepts to real-life examples and understand trade, marketing, and much more broadly. Events, fest campus crowd, and social aspect of this college are very good, students get hands-on experience while managing the events and cultural activities in the annual fest and other events.

Superior quality facilities are available: No hostel, awesome quality of food is available, advanced medical facilities, and different grounds for different sports such as cricket, basketball, etc.

Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and experts in their respective fields, well-qualified. Their teaching quality is modern, and they are always ready to help the students in whatever capacity. The course curriculum is relevant and modern, as it is based on accounting and finance, which makes the student industry-ready. Semester exams in my college are moderate, and the passing percentage is around 40%.

Other: I chose this course because it focuses on real-world trade, accounting, finance, marketing, etc. The best thing about my course is that it provides the base for different areas of specialisation. Everything is great, but I hope the course will focus more on marketing too.

Absolutely satisfied because of the faculty, they encouraged me a lot.

Placements: The lowest packages start from 5 LPA and have an average of 5.7 LPA. The highest package recorded is 36 LPA for B.Com (Hons). Top recruiters are KPMG, EY, Genpact, and DE Shaw. Placement around 70-85 percent varies by courses. Roles offered include manager, consultant, etc.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in the library for students. Classrooms have fans and windows for ventilation. Labs are fully optimized with the latest tech. The quality of food in the canteen is good, and the variety of items has a delicious taste. Sports are available for students, they can borrow sports items in exchange for their ID card and can get their ID card back after returning sports items.

Faculty: All the teachers are well-trained, qualified, and helpful to students. All the teachers encourage and appraise the students who show interest in subject-related extracurricular activities happening in the college. The B.Com (Hons) course is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Exams are moderately difficult and have a passing criteria of 40 percent.

Other: I am interested in business, that's why I chose this course best thing about this course is that it gives you practical application of theory. College has very good faculty and crowd but its fest is not that good due to many restrictions by the government departments in the college.

Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and qualified and are very knowledgeable. The course curriculum is very good and makes everyone industry ready. There are various practicals which provide real-life experiences. The college semesters are tough but can be easily handled with practice.

Other: I chose this course because I have interest in accounting and finance, the course should be made more practical and new activities can be added. There are various events and fests organized by the college and the college campus and crowd are really good.

Overall, a very good college with very low fees.

Placements: Around 50 to 60 percent of students are placed in B.Com Hons. The highest package once given is about 35 to 36 LPA, the lowest package is around 1.5 to 2 LPA and the average package is around 3 to 3.5 LPA. Top recruiters are KPMG, ICICI, EY and a few more. Around 40 to 50 percent of students got internships in KPMG, ICICI, BANKS etc. Top roles offered are financial advice and the marketing department.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good but not as good like north campus college however basic facilities are available like a library and labs. Classrooms and Wi-Fi are not available in college for students. The gym is also not available in college like other colleges. There are no hostel facilities in Dyal Singh College.

Faculty: Teachers are pretty qualified and knowledgeable and have their own teaching style and are very supportive of B.Com Hons. Curriculum is relevant but not fully suitable to produce industry ready students. Semesters are not very difficult exams are also not very difficult. Overall semesters are moderate. The passing percentage is 40 percent aggregate in the exams and internal assessment.

Other: I chose this course because I want to pursue MBA in the near future and a B.Com. Hons is a good option to do before masters degree. I wish college can improve a lot in terms of students need like Wi-Fi, gym, sports facilities. Events are not very much in Dyal Singh college only 1 to 2 events happen in college and in 2025 yearly event is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
