A decent college with good academic exposure.

Placements: Nearly 80% of students were placed in my course. The highest package was Rs. 1 lakh per month, the lowest package was Rs. 10,000 per month, and the average package was up to Rs. 60,000 per month. Top companies like Fresica and Nestlé offered placements to students. Around 2–3% of students got internships.

Infrastructure: There is good infrastructure available for my course, with a good library and classrooms. Labs are fully furnished with tools like microscopes, slides, coverslips, extracts like safranin, glycerine, etc. Hostel facilities are not available in my college. The food quality is good with proper hygiene, and sports facilities are also good.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, calm, and patient. They clear students' doubts in class and through Google Meet. The teaching quality is also good, as they teach using projector slides. The course makes students ready for the industry. Semester exams are not difficult. They are moderate, and the passing percentage is 33%.

Other: I chose this course due to my research interest. The best thing about this course is that we do more practical work compared to theory-oriented work. The lab tools and facilities should be improved further. Events and fests are good, such as the Prakriti Botanical Fest held every year.

Good infrastructure and amazing crowd.

Placements: There are rarely any placements in this course. Most students either pursue higher studies or research or appear for competitive exams. However, students get internships to manage their expenses and gain hands-on experience working with a company.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure for this course are readily available, with well-equipped labs, classrooms, and a huge library. There is no particular hostel for college. The canteen is wonderful. Medical and sports facilities are also available when needed.

Faculty: Faculty is helpful and well-qualified. The course curriculum is relevant to botanical studies, with theory and practical lab work. The level of semester exams is moderate. One can easily score marks if they are attentive in class.

Other: I chose this course because I love plants and nature, so to gain deeper insights. One should be attentive during the lab practicals throughout the semester, as the external examiner comes at the end of the semester. Events, extracurricular activities, and fests are wonderful. The crowd is decent, though sometimes a few fights are seen. The connectivity through the metro and bus stands is better.

Great faculty and average college .

Placements: No such compani or institutions come in place of botany hons students. Though students go for ICRI, only 1-2 out of 40–50 people's batch. Offline exposure is very low. There is no direct placement of jobs or any kind of internship. You will have to go for the Masters course.

Infrastructure: Dyal Singh doesn't offer a hostel. The labs are well-equipped but poorly made and suffocating. 30 people in one lab makes it suffocating to perform practicals. The lab staff is very supportive and has all the requisite chemicals required for the practical.

Faculty: Wonderful faculty members take all the classes, unlike other DDU colleges. They come for 8:30 am classes too and are very supportive and approachable. They are very kind, give self-made notes and also clear doubts. There is no overburdening of assignments, though practical files are to be made.

Placements: The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA and the highest salary package offered is 9 LPA. Almost 40% of students are placed. About 90% of students get internships.

Infrastructure: Our college provides good facilities. Purified drinking water is not provided. Wi-Fi is not available. Our classrooms and libraries are good. Labs are good. The hostel facilities are excellent. The campus is huge. An auditorium and seminar hall are available.

Faculty: Our teachers are helpful and good. Exams are easy. Teachers are helpful in practical assignments, projects, and presentations. They also help at the botanical fest and conferences. Our teachers organise the G20 conference.

Our college is a good college.

Placements: Placements are not good. The salary package is 4 LPA.

It provides good faculty members, and friendly good exposure.

Infrastructure: The hostel facility is not available, but students can easily find it nearby. It is highly connected with the metro. The nearest metro station is JLN. The infrastructure is good. It has a lush green campus, not like private colleges but an average, science block has its building. It provides many practical laboratories.

Faculty: The particle is 30 marks, and 70 marks for theory in this college.

Absolutely satisfied with great infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories and the best faculty.

Placements: Botany honors is not a professional course, unlike B.Com, and thus, not many companies visit here for placements. However, if you want to apply for any company, being a student of this college, is going to help you. As far as the internships are concerned, you can find many. The university offers summer internships in the department of botany as well as in the cluster innovation centre. These internships are really helpful and give you good exposure to the lab works. Many internships are conducted by various colleges under DU, so one can also apply for that. DU is famous for its fests. Every college of DU has its amazing fest, and so does DSC. Other than the fests, various events are also organized regularly, and students can participate in any of these irrespective of their course and college.

Infrastructure: The campus of Dyal Singh College is one of the best with its unique solar panels, Wi-Fi facility, library, a huge ground, medical facilities, auditorium, spacious amphitheatre for various events etc. The canteen here is hygienic and serves good quality and tasty food. However, there are no hostel facilities for boys and girls, but being in a locality like Lodhi road, there are various accommodations like PGs that students can easily look for to stay, within a walkable distance to college or communicate using buses or even metros. DSC is situated very close to Jawahar Lal Nehru metro station, which is a plus point for students and staff that are communicating via metro.

Faculty: The department of botany has well-qualified and knowledgeable faculty. They use traditional as well as e-methods of teaching. The class strength is 30 students. Practical classes are conducted in two batches, with 15 students each. Every semester, an educational trip is also organized to biodiversity parks and industry. Even during the pandemic, a virtual tour was organized by the department.

Other: DSC has several societies including dance, music, debating, NSS, NCC, environmental club, drama, fashion society, etc., that are open for anyone interested.

Our college provides bad placements and it was an average experience,

Placements: Around 20% of the students got placed in our course. Rarely companies offer placements for our course. Only 1% of the students got internships from our course. No good roles related to our course were offered. Roles such as marketing, SEO, website development, etc., were mostly offered which was beyond my league and is of no use in the future.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available in our college but students are not allowed to use it as they are not provided with the credentials for accessing Wi-Fi. Labs are good but equipment for the entire class i.e., for around 20-25 students was not available at once. It was available only at the time of our external practicals. The library was good but books on the same subjects were not available in large numbers during the time of exams. Classrooms had projectors. but during our course of 3 years, they were hardly used for 4-5 times. Canteen was the worst, and a variety of food was served. There was no hygiene maintained in the canteen. There was a sanitary machine in the washroom but it was not working. I came to know from my super seniors that the machine was not working since their first year. The college authorities should repair it as soon as possible. The washroom of the Science department was comparatively maintained well than the toilets of other courses. All other washrooms had problems like the flush was not working, very stinky and dirty, etc.

Faculty: Teachers in our college were too good. Especially faculty members of our department were excellent. They were top lecturers, and they had excellent knowledge. They cope up with the students and help them in their studies. But some teachers had some attitude and were quite irritating.

Other: Fest in our college was a nightmare. It would be better not to attend the college fest. Even the department fest was not that good when compared to north campus colleges. I was the vice president of our department in 2017 and I know every single detail about our department fest and I am sure that teachers are corrupted and they use very little money to organise the fest.
