One of the biggest colleges in Delhi University.

Placements: Mainly in Political Science, honours placements are below average. This is common in every Delhi University College because Political Science honours usually don't provide placements. But still, last year, as far as I know, around 40 to 50 percent of students secured a government job through exams like SSC. Also, internship opportunities are really good. The college has its own dedicated placement cell, which provides internships to even first years in fields like media, Madhya Pradesh MLA assistant office, customer Care centres, Niti Aayog inter, Ministry of Information in inter, I myself have got an internship with a union minister.

Infrastructure: College infrastructure is one of the best in Delhi University. Dyal Singh College have around 13 acres of campus, which makes it one of the biggest colleges in the entire university. Amenities like Wi-Fi, library, canteen, medical, and all sports-related facilities like ground, football court, basketball court, badminton court, volleyball court, bench area, Rose garden, biological garden, sports room, are available. A dedicated Science blog is also built on the college campus to facilitate science-related requirements like Chemistry and Biology labs, Maths lab, Geography lab, and astrology lab. Canteen food is average but is very affordable.

Faculty: The syllabus is the same, and the exam pattern is also the same across Delhi University. The exam paper and syllabus both are decided by the university. High commission college plays no role in selecting the curriculum and questions. The faculty is one of the best. Professors are knowledgeable and helpful. Different activities are always given to students to make them industry-ready.

Other: I chose Political Science to follow my passion. The housing college offers one of the best Political Science faculty, and also the campus life is really great. The thing that could be better is the hostel facility for students. The college was famous for student fights, but now the scenario has changed as CUET is bringing a good crowd. Last year was good, but the college doesn't have a very good past in organising fests. As I told you, the crowd is changing, so now we can expect a good fest from them.

About Dyal Singh College.

Placements: Around 70–80% of the students from my course get placed. The average package ranges between 3–5 LPA. The highest package goes around 8–10 LPA and the lowest around 3–4 LPA. Top recruiters include Wipro, Infosys, and TCS. Students also secure internships in various companies.

Infrastructure: The college has decent infrastructure with a Wi-Fi-enabled campus, well-maintained classrooms, a good library, and functional labs. Hostel facilities are not available in the college, but there are nearby PG accommodations. The canteen food is average but affordable.

Faculty: Faculty members are qualified and supportive, though the teaching quality varies by department and professor. The curriculum is relevant but more theoretical. So students need to put in extra effort to become industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult. But the passing percentage is quite high if you attend classes regularly and prepare well.

Other: I chose this course because of its affordability and the exposure offered by Delhi University. The best part is the college societies and the peer learning environment. However, placements can improve with more companies visiting the campus. The connectivity is excellent, and the campus surroundings are student-friendly.

Dissatisfied because of the infrastructure and lack of placement.

Placements: In my course, Political Science Honours, there are no placements. No internships were received in our course. After this course, there are no specific roles that we can apply in the private sector. No specific roles in our course. Please provide placements to us.

Infrastructure: Sometimes the Wi-Fi works only. No recharge of the Wi-Fi. In labs, computers are not working. The classrooms are very bad. There is no hostel at my college; the quality of food is poor. The medical room opens at 10 AM, and our class starts from 8:30 AM. In an emergency, where do we go?

Faculty: The course curriculum is not relevant to making students industry-ready. Basic skills, problem-solving, and communication skills are lacking. In societies/clubs, they take people who know the skills from school. Students lack skills in the industry and get rejected.

Other: There are no fest and no farewell party. I chose this course to help with competitive exams. The faculty of Political Science is good.

DSC is a satisfied college.

Placements: Students in my course are placed, and the highest package is between 30 and 33 Lacs per annum (LPA). The companies are Wipro, JLL, and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. The percentage of students who got internships is 75%, and internships are also offered by the placement cell of my college.

Infrastructure: In my college, Dyal Singh, there is a little lack in infrastructure, but mainly the labs are well maintained. The food availability in the college canteen is tasty and takes care of hygiene. There is a medical room in the college which provides first aid facilities, and my college is good at sports and games.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and some of them also have experience rather than a college or teaching field only. The semester exams are neither hard nor very easy, and the percentage need for pass is 33 percent, which is easy to score, but sometimes they are hard, but for me it is easy.

Other: I chose this course because it is helpful for me in my career as I want to become an entrepreneur. There is a need to change the teaching method.

It has good infrastructure and facilities. It is also hygienic.

Placements: 60 percent of students get placed in my course. The highest package offered is 36 LPA, but it totally depends on our course. The average package offered is around 5 LPA. The lowest package offered is 3 LPA, as I heard. I don't know about the recruitment companies. Finance, tech, and management roles are offered here.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. According to my course, the library is also good, but the Wi-Fi is not. Food is not that good. The canteen is very hygienic and average. Medical facilities are nice. Sports and games are very good. We have grounds for games like cricket, football, and basketball.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good as it totally depends on teacher's behaviour, which is nice. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are of a moderate level. The pass percentage is around 60 to 70 percent.

Other: I chose this course because I filled this course in my preference list, and according to my school, I took arts. I like teachers, and the course curriculum is good. Events and fests are not much organsied. I am enjoying my college life, and it's pretty decent.

Totally satisfied with the course and faculty. Infrastructure is one of the best on the South campus

Placements: Placement in my college varies depending on the course and the societies that you join. There are some useful ones like enso debsoc flick etc., they are very interactive and even beneficial for the resume. Some societies are not as beneficial as spilled ink, which is the poetry society. It's good if you have an interest in the poetry domain, but for the future, it's of no use.

Infrastructure: Hostel is not provided.

Faculty: Exams are not that tough, all the study material is regularly provided by the teachers, and they take extra classes whenever it is necessary. Also, help in sending the questions that are important from the exam point of view. Teachers often support and motivate the students during exam time and are also there if any student needs their personal guidance. The staff in my course is very friendly and response, I'm currently in 2nd year and by far the teachers that I have recieved are very understanding and humble. Students in my course are also very friendly. If not too bad.

Other: Political Science at Dyal Singh College is one of the most famous courses, along with history and geography honors. The majority of the students that I meet are from my course or history honours. A good number of seats were offered at the admission time, and these 3 courses, their faculty are very good, and they also hold seminars regularly to provide extra guidance and real-time experience by graduates from our college or people in the same field.

I highly recommend joining this college.

Placements: There is no specific date I have for how many students were placed, but there is an average number of students who get placed in the college. It is around 4-5 LPA. The highest amount placed in the college is 23 LPA. Top recruiting companies are KPMG, EY, Deloitte, PwC, Genpact, HCL Technologies, and JLL.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my course is very good. We have the best department in the college. There is no facility in the hostel, which is a minus point for the college. The quality of food is also good in the canteen. Prices are almost as low as compared to the markets. College is also active in sports activities.

Faculty: Faculty members are cool. They are all kind and well-informed. Sometimes they conduct a seminar on a specific topic. They discuss this with students from different departments. Their teaching skill are good. If we talk about exams and class tests. Everything is fine.

Other: I chose this course because I have chosen political science as my future career. The best thing about my course is that it has the best department in the college. The campus crowd is amazing. There are people from all over India, which makes the campus more colorful in terms of language and culture.

A good college with decent facilities .

Placements: Decent placements. The placement cell works tirelessly in order to give opportunities to the students to get paid internships as well as to get job interviews with several top companies. The average package is 4-5 lacs, and a very good opportunity is given to students to earn money.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good, with a very large library that contains books related to a wide variety of topics and is very helpful from both the examination and the point of view. The labs are fully equipped with computers with the latest Windows software, giving them a technological edge.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and have a very good command over the subjects that they teach us. There are proper doubt-solving sessions that take place and there is an emphasis on practical knowledge. The course is one that requires medium preparation and the exam can be paced by studying for a few days only.
