It offers an outstanding setting for individuals studying law.

Faculty: The course is based on a semester system where the exams are conducted for each semester at a 6-month interval. Each batch contains seats for approximately 120 students, which later increases to accommodate 50 more students who have secured Honours in the 6th semester. The course is updated from time to time to meet the requirements of the industry and to equip students to face practical challenges. The faculty at our college is highly qualified and assists us in academic and non-academic ventur...

The legacy of Hazra Law College (Department of Law, University of Calcutta, Est. 1909) - Review.

Faculty: Faculty members are nice and well-qualified. They offer extremely informative classes overall. They also help us with notes and other materials required in the curriculum. They are approachable outside the class also, whenever an appointment is made. Semester exams are overall difficult with lots of preparations required for scoring really good marks in the final. The internals are conducted in the college prior to external exams and have at least two weeks gaps in between them. Faculty members,...

Department of Law, CU best place to Study law.

Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable and well educated. They are very much communicate with students. There was a need to update the course curriculum. Getting high percentage marks is not at all easy here. You have to write and prepare very well for exams. Minimum 30% marks required to pass the semester.

Review of Faculty of Law, University of Calcutta.

Faculty: Our teachers are highly qualified and they are very helpful. They always treat every student as a friend and easily teach us. As this law college is under Calcutta University, during semester examinations, students have to go to other colleges under CU. Semester exams are difficult. The pass percentage is 40%.

It is a good college in terms of studies but not the campus.

Faculty: Teachers are very qualified, helpful, and mostly doctorates teach us. Semester exams are easy, direct questions are given but the marking scheme is quite difficult. It is really hard to score 70% in CU. But, a 60% in CU is worth 90% in other universities.

The college consists of moot court society, debating society, magazine committee, legal aid clinic.

Faculty: Professors are vey good and they are highly qualified. Few professors are also almuni of abroad like Cambridge University etc. The course curriculum is also very good. The students can opt for whatever they want. The curriculum is like that it is also useful for the students who want to prepare for UPSC. Those who will study regularly will not have any problem clearing semesters exam. Internals are held 2 months prior to the exam. The passing percentage is 33.

Satisfied with the college as it has good facilities.

Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and very helpful. They are very polite. They build a good base for every lawyer. We are lucky to have them as our teachers. If one studies carefully and follows the classes, the semester exams are very easy. One can easily pass the semester exams with very good marks.

I am satisfied with this college because it provided good placements in 2019.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are not helpful. They are qualified, but they do not cooperate with us. They used to talk in Bengal, and I used to speak in Hindi, so it is the worst scenario I faced there as a student. Overall, the environment is good. Exams were tough. The pass percentage is 80%.

Review of Faculty of Law, University of Calcutta.

Faculty: Faculty members are brilliant as the selection criteria are rigorous. They are always great at academicians, and some are field actors as well. However, the course syllabus was last updated in 2010 and is not relevant in many instances. Further, the CBCS scheme has been made applicable to the students of the batch of 2018 and onwards.

Slightly dissatisfied with placement opportunities, but good infrastructure, faculty and campus.

Faculty: The professors are always welcoming, inspiring and motivating us. They are always helpful to us. They provide us with a healthy environment to put forward our points and correct us where we go wrong. The things they teach and the way they teach students makes them ready for the future. The pass percentage is pretty high. But again, if one does not study, they cannot expect marks.

It is an old university, but still, it is excellent in modern times.

Faculty: Teachers here are good, and they try to give the best to us. They are well-trained and also know how to handle students and their doubts. Most of them are prominent personalities known across India. The course curriculum of LLB is never exhaustive for any college no matter where you go. You can always find a flaw in even the best curriculum. However, it depends on how interested you are to excel because every college chooses the best for itself.

Good infrastructure but lack of placements.

Faculty: The ingenuity of the professors are highly commendable. The prolific professors enrich their students with their knowledge. They have all attained doctorate degree in law. They help the students in every way possible. They are supportive and act as guide.
