Review of Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.
Placements: Selections for internships are made within the 1st semester. The companies visiting here include BCG, Brain, Kearney, Accenture, Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, Google, E&Y, ITC, Mondelez, TAS, and all other big names. The roles offered include consulting, product management, finance, sales and marketing, e-commerce, IT, and others. The highest stipend offered is Rs.250000 per month. The average stipend is Rs.140000 per month.
Infrastructure: FMS Delhi doesn't have hostel facilities. A student generally opts for flats near campus. But it has a great social life with talented peers from across India. There are cultural and sports events conducted every month. The college has a library, basketball court, and other sports facilities.
Faculty: My main motive for applying for FMS Delhi was the alumni network and placements. Faculty members are highly trained in their respective subjects and incorporate highly engaging teaching methodologies. We generally have a class of more than 120 students. Teachers give us weekly assignments, and these are generally group assignments. This involves students discussing problems among themselves and that involves teamwork and great learning. Teachers use case methodologies while teaching and discussing cases involving real-life business problems.
Other: For admission into FMS Delhi, one of the best business schools in India, a student must give a CAT examination and score high percentile, apply for FMS Delhi, as a separate form is floated for FMS Delhi after the CAT examination. Based on the percentile, shortlisted candidates would be informed, and personal interviews are conducted. There are several prestigious scholarships. Some private scholarships like IDFC first bank scholarship, which gives Rs.100000 per year. A total of Rs.200000 as scholarships are provided for economically challenged meritorious students.

FMS - My Dreams Came True.
Placements: There are many organizations offering internship opportunities in FMS. Marketing roles are offered by companies like HUL, Reckitt, Loreal etc. Consulting jobs are offered by Accenture, Brain, BCG, etc. Both Summer placement and final placement are conducted. Reputed organizations like Tata, Reliance, BCG, brain and HUl etc. participate in the process. The average compensation of summer internship is around 2.7 Lacs for 2 months and the average package is around 26 LPA.
Infrastructure: Being a government university, it lacks a lavish campus as other top B schools have and the hostel is allotted to very few students since it is common for Delhi university. Students usually stay in flats in nearby areas and thus make their college life fun and full of new experiences. Being located in Delhi, there are a lot of fun activities to do for the students. There is a big library at the college campus and fun activities include celebrating various occasions, the great section war, sports war, batch party, and cultural activities.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly experienced with notable names in the industry. The ratio is almost 1:15, not very sure. All the professors are Ph.D. holders with vast experience in the industry as well. Case based learning is the focus. The academics is very rigorous with a lot of practical learning. Exams are conducted twice every year and are pretty difficult to crack.
Other: The first step is to give the CAT exam and then fill the FMS application form which is available on the college website which includes various details including SOP. The media cell of the college actively participates in helping and resolving each and every query during the process and mentors are also allocated for further process. For reserved students, the application fee is less as compared to general ones. The further comes shortlisting on a CAT basis and then PI schedule. Extra points are given to the girl candidates.
