GMIT supports its students through comprehensive scholarship programs, having distributed scholarships exceeding INR 5.4 crores so far.
Detailed information about the scholarships offered by GMIT is provided below.
1. Swami Vivekanand Scholarship:
This Scholarship is applicable for all categories of Students with an Annual Family income of 2.4 LPA, and 60% marks in High School, and provides the amount of up to Rs 60000 per year.
2. Minority Scholarship:
This Scholarship is applicable to the Students of OBC/B Categories with an Annual Family income of 2.5 LPA, and minimum 55% marks in High School, and provides the amount of up to Rs 30000 per year.
3. Kanya Shree K2:
This Scholarship is applicable for all Girls Students with an Annual Family income of 1.2 LPA, and eligibility Criteria is dependent on the age, and provides the amount of Rs 25000 one time.
4. Post Matric Scholarship:
This Scholarship is eligible for Students of SC/ST/ OBC-A/OBC-B with an Annual Family income of 2 LPA, and provides the amount of up to Rs 15000 per year.
5. Nabanna Scholarship:
This Scholarship is applicable for all categories of Students with an Annual Family income of 60000 PA, and Madhyamik 65%, HS 60%, and provides the amount of up to Rs 10000 per year.
6. Aikyashree:
This Scholarship is applicable for minority Students with an Annual Family income of 2.5 LPA, and 50% marks in High School, and provides an amount of up to Rs 33000 per year.
7.OASIS:
This Scholarship is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Students with an Annual Family income of 2.5 LPA, and 50% marks in High School, and provides the amount of up to Rs 38000 per year.
Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology has affordable fee strcture. The fee structure of BTech programme ranges between INR 3 lakh- INR 6 lakh. The fee strcture is inclusive of various components such as caution deposit, exam fee, tuition fee, etc. Students must note that this fee information is sourced from the official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to changes.
Yes, candidates can apply for student loans if they have applied for the West Bengal Student Credit Card Scheme. According to the scheme, candidates apply for a loan of upto 10 Lacs at an interest rate of 4% per annum from the State Cooperative Bank and its affiliated Central Cooperative Banks and District Central Cooperative Banks and Public/ Private Sector Banks. If the interest is fully serviced during the study period, 1% interest concession will be provided to borrower. Candidates can make use of the scheme to fund their education in GMIT Kolkata.
