Excellence faculty with great teaching skills.
Placements: They are not providing campus interviews for our course, nor offering internship opportunities, mainly not for B.Sc. students. That's the most negative thing about the college. They don't take campus interviews seriously for students' futures and provide very less opportunities.
Infrastructure: Facilities like labs and libraries are excellent. Unlike some other colleges, all lab facilities for the Geology Department are provided with all machinery and facilities. Wi-Fi facility is provided to all the department. The hostel provides clean and cute rooms with attached bathrooms.
Faculty: Teachers are so helpful, in fact, they spoon-feed us and equip us with knowledge. It does make students industry-ready. The semester exams are actually easy if you are ready to study. Teachers here help you anytime with anything, which is really great about them.
Other: Geology is a beautiful course in which we are able to learn more about our Earth and solar system every day. Instead of complementary subjects like Chemistry, it would be better to introduce course-oriented subjects. The college provides many events in the year, which are so much fun. The campus also gives importance to sports and arts, and scholarships are available for students in need.

Vibrant campus life that conveys a dynamic and engaging student experience beyond academics.
Placements: First of all, the course had a touch of a professional degree, and we needed 75% marks in the science stream plus two to get admission to the course at Gems Arts and Science College. The main drawback of the college was that there were no placements or campus interviews. However, there was a chance to connect with reputed companies through workshop programs conducted by different clubs like IEDC.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was quite good. We had access to a TV for visual studying. Regarding the practical sessions of the course, we had microbiology and biochemistry labs. We had a good library and access to Wi-Fi in the library, which helped us research things and stay updated. The hostel side was the main advantage of the college. The hostel was good, with four persons in a room and an attached bathroom available. The food was highly hygienic and safe. There were sports and game events at Gems and also teams for inter-college events.
Faculty:
In college, we had qualified teachers who had extensive subject knowledge. The teaching quality was also good, and they provided notes and PPTs for each subject. Exams were held semester-wise, and sometimes there might be a delay, but it was okay. The results sometimes lagged, but now exams are conducted in the barcode style, so results come one week after evaluation.
Other: I selected this course because I had a keen interest in microorganisms and their role in life, and it offered diverse career opportunities. But some aspects of the course needed improvement, such as more practical training and better industrial exposure. The campus life was quite good, and we had many programs to show our talents, like cultural fests and sports events.

Satisfied because of faculty, good placements in 2025, good infrastructure, and facilities.
Placements: Most students got placed, but most of them were at their own risk. I am multimedia student and this degree alone is not enough, we need to take additional courses to improve our skills. Multimedia students have lots of opportunities like Graphic designing, UI/UX designing, web designing, photography and cinematography, etc. Multimedia degree provides a base information for every field.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and separate library block are available. There is a theatre and a hall for conducting programs, theatre is not available at every time but we have projectors in lab for everyday needs. We have a separate studio setup and an audio lab. All the necessary facilities are available in the hostel. Quality food and water are available in hostel.
Games and sports are given importance too.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified. We have a problem that teachers always changes, but now it's okay in that case, this degree alone doesn't make a student industry-ready. Semester exams are okay. Most students are passed. In our departments, only one or two students are failed.
Other: The best thing about my course is that, my course provides basic information and practicals of many fields so that we can divert to the specific field after the degree. We can identify which one is best for us. Events and programs are okay. I did enjoy well.

Creating tech students with no coding knowledge.
Placements: Our college is famous than other colleges under Calicut University but it does not provide direct placements. Even though there is a placement cell working at this college to support students to achieve a job. But it is also not much effective, there are lot to be changed. Now this college got NAAC grade of A so, there might be more chances for reaching companies for student placements in the future. Only few of the students got placed in this college. But this college provides a lot of internship opportunities for students.
Infrastructure: College provides 2 computer labs with total of 100 computers. It has high-speed Wi-Fi and Ethernet also. There is a great book library and digital library facility where students can access computers with internet for any purpose at any time. College only provides hostel facility for girls, hostel is not terrific like other colleges. Canteen provides good food at affordable rates. Arts and sports are the main highlight of this college. It has a big football ground, a super basketball court, etc. Auditorium is available for arts and other purpose.
Faculty: BCA faculty members are highly qualified and very friendly. Some of them only have masters, even though they are very knowledgeable and provide high-quality teaching. To be honest many papers are waste and irrelevant for the future. But the new four-year degree pattern got updated and there are a lot of good papers. Most of the students don't even know coding after this course, so everything has to improve in their own way. Exams are not much tough, a student with an average can pass the exam.
Other: I am so excited to learn coding, so I decided to choose BCA for my future. To be honest, I didn't get much as expected from that course. Because the course didn't make me industry ready. But the four-year pattern has a lot of improvement so I wish at least they should get more placement opportunities and become industry-ready. Tech events, fests, and many other programs are conducted by the BCA department. College is interesting by the way. I will say that everyone should study their own way and never always depend on college.

GEMS Arts and Science College is great institution with good academic programs and faculty members.
Placements: No placement is offered for our course. There is no percentage of students placed from our course. There is no highest, lowest, and average salary package offered in our course. I don't know about the top recruiting companies for our course. There is no placement.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our course or department like labs, studios, and classrooms are good. Food that is served in college canteen is disgusting and too bad. Sports and games are amazing at our college.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. Course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not that tough. Pass percentage is 75%.
Other: It's my passion to be a graphic designer and web developer, and that's why I chose this course. It's all good about the course.

This college has been accredited with an NAAC grade.
Placements: I'm not sure about such details, as I haven't spoken to any of them about them. But, according to your skills and creativity, you will definitely be recruited by top companies. After multimedia, you can choose your career in Graphic Design, UI/UX, Advertising, Journalism, and so on. There are many jobs available in such field.
Infrastructure: Our department has a good studio and lab. Classrooms are nice. Labs are fully air-conditioned. We can work comfortably. The facilities for sports and games are better. You can learn games for which teachers will help. The hostel is there only for girls, with facilities. The mess is also good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They are qualified and knowledgeable in their subjects. Semester exams are of a moderate level, it is not that difficult. The pass percentage is above 60% or 65%. All students can pass the exam if they are well-prepared. It is not difficult. Also, for my course, I found every syllabus easy.
Other: B.A. Multimedia is an interesting course, and it has a lot of scope. Our course has practical work mainly, which you will find interesting rather than theory classes. These practical classes help to develop your skills well. I think the lab facilities should be developed a bit, and systems should be updated. There are events, fests, celebrations, and all.
