B.Tech. in Textile Engineering - Batch of 2025

    5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
In my college, the Textile Engineering department has 100% placement every year.
Placements: There is 100% placement for my batchmates. The highest package is 12 LPA, and the lowest package is 3.6 LPA. Top recruiters are Reliance and Trident. 90% of students got internships in Trident, Arti, and Sporting. They teach us to use theory in practical work in labs. It was a great experience for me.
Infrastructure: Labs, classrooms, and the library are very good. The hostel infrastructure is overall good, and the food is also healthy and hygienic. A warden is provided by the college for every hostel, and dispensary facilities are also available in the hostel. Near the hostel, a playing ground is available.
Faculty: All the teachers in my college are very helpful. We can directly contact all professors and HODs in their offices. After starting the semester, mid-semester tests are conducted by the college for internal marks. These are taken by every department, and based on the average of MST, all teachers give internal marks to students.
Other: Textile Engineering is my passion to grow my knowledge in the industrial area.

An honest review of 4 years.
Placements: The percentage of students who got placed always depends on students' capabilities and also on the college and faculty. There were 40%-50% students who were placed in the previous batch. The highest package is 6 LPA-7 LPA and the average is 2.5 LPA-3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are 10 years old, like Byjus but now new startups and companies like Trident and Accenture give the opportunity. In my course, 5 students from my batch got internships at Trident. Top roles offered are software engineer, frontend developer, backend developer, and other major roles.
Infrastructure: There are labs with a normal specs computer where you can run software installed by the institute only. Labs are fully AC-enabled. If you are willing to take engineering courses, then your classes will be college-side, where classrooms are good but not the best. The hostel in which you are shifted in your first year has a good infrastructure, in which the lift is working till you pay the fees. After that, when classes start, the lift will be out of order or only for staff. But after the first year, you will be shifted to the old hostels. There are three girls' hostels that have a normal infrastructure.
Faculty: As is the case for all colleges, most of the teachers are hard-working and well-qualified. Remember I said most, not all. You take a curriculum from any college, it does not make you industry-ready. There is a big difference between college and industry work. Semester exams sometimes get harder. In the first year, 70% of my batch got reappear.

Students will get a good college experience overall if they stay focused.
Placements: Placements for the CSE branch are around 50%, and many students get placed depending on their skills. The highest package is 10 LPA, and the lowest package is around 1 LPA. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, and TCS visit the campus. Internships are mostly offered in the final year, mainly in the same companies. Roles offered include software engineer and some data-related positions. Placement support is good, but selection depends mostly on student preparation and skills.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, especially the CSE department building. Wi-Fi is available in labs and works well. Classrooms are clean and equipped. The library is well-maintained, and it is my favorite place in college. Overall, facilities are decent and useful for students.
Faculty: Faculty members are supportive, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. Exams come from the given syllabus, so proper study makes it easy to pass. The pass percentage is 33%. Teachers also provide notes and help in preparation. Overall, academics are manageable.
Other: I chose this course because I want to go into the computer field. Extracurricular activities are really good. Functions, technical, and cultural events organised are really awesome.

B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2026
    3.8
    4Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Moderate placements, but strong academics and campus life in the Civil branch.
Placements: Site Engineer supervises construction at site, manages resources, and ensures safety for 3-5 LPA. Junior Civil Engineer assists in project planning, drawing interpretation, and cost estimates for 3-4 LPA. Design Engineer works with AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, and ETABS to design structural components for 4-6 LPA. Structural Engineer analyzes loads and designs frameworks for buildings, bridges, etc., for 5-8 LPA. Planning Engineer schedules and monitors progress using tools like MS Project and Primavera for 4-6 LPA. Quality Control/Quality Assurance Engineer monitors material and construction quality and conducts lab tests for 3-5 LPA. Estimation & Billing Engineer prepares cost estimates, billing reports, and BOQs for 3.5-5.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities include smart classrooms, labs, a library, gym, auditoriums, a cafeteria, and sports grounds for cricket, football, basketball, and volleyball. Hostels are a mix: there are new hostels with lifts and single rooms available from the 3rd year, but some older blocks still need maintenance. Wi-Fi has mixed reviews; some say campus Wi-Fi works, while others report zero connectivity. Overall, it's a green, clean campus with good campus life, including annual fests like Tarannum and Youth Fest PTU, as well as various cultural and sports events.
Faculty: Semester exams at GZSCCET are conducted as per MRSPTU guidelines. If you attend classes, study lecture notes, and refer to previous year papers, you can pass comfortably. Most questions are theory-based with some numericals and design-based questions in Civil Engineering. Internal assessments (mid-sem, assignments, practical) play a significant role and boost your final score. MRSPTU provides syllabus-linked question banks, and professors often set paper patterns from these.
Other: Tarannum is a cultural and technical fest held every year with events such as singing, dance, fashion shows, and drama, as well as technical quizzes, coding competitions, and model exhibitions. Sports tournaments include cricket, football, and athletics. Additionally, there's the Youth Fest / PTU Fest, which involves participation in inter-college university-level events under MRSPTU. Departmental Days for Civil, CSE, ECE, etc., host branch-specific events, model expos, and poster-making competitions.

Faculty is supportive, and the campus life is decent
Placements: Eligible students got placed in the 2023-2024 batch, with around 45% of students from my course securing placements; the highest package is about ₹10 LPA, and the average is around ₹4–5 LPA, with companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and some product-based firms like Amazon recruiting, while internships were limited but a few students got opportunities at Microsoft and Trident, and most of us secured roles such as software developer, data analyst, and system engineer, overall, if you work hard, there are good chances to get placed here.
Infrastructure: At Giani Zail Singh College, our department has good classrooms, Wi-Fi, labs, and a library with useful books. The campus is clean and offers all basic facilities. Hostel rooms are adequate, but cleanliness could be improved. Mess food is average, while the canteen offers more variety and is cleaner. There is a small medical center on campus for basic care. Sports facilities like a cricket ground, basketball court, and indoor games are available and well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good and focuses on core concepts. The course curriculum is mostly relevant and includes practical learning, although industry exposure can vary by department. It helps build a foundation for jobs or further studies. Exams are not too difficult, and most students pass, with a pass rate of around 70–80%.
Other: I was part of the B.Tech batch at Giani Zail Singh College. I chose this course because I was interested in engineering and practical learning. The course is good, but industry exposure and placements could be improved. Fests, campus life, and extracurricular activities are active and enjoyable.

A good college with good faculty, facilities, and a green campus.
Placements: To get placed, it is necessary to obtain a 7+ CGPA. The highest package during my studies is 12 LPA in the Computer Science field. Mainly, only toppers can get on-campus placements, but you can easily get an off-campus placement if you have ever been part of the university's training and placement cell.
Infrastructure: The mess food is also good in terms of compared to other colleges. But the most important thing is that the new hostels are really good facilitated, with lifts. Even labs and classrooms are also well-facilitated with the latest equipment.
Faculty: I love faculty members as they are really cooperative with students, and exams are really necessary throughout the course, nearly three times in one semester. It is necessary to have your attendance complete as it is slightly strict for attendance throughout the semester. The course fee and accommodation are absolutely fine.
