GMCH Chandigarh MBBS Courses & Fees 2025: Eligibility, NEET Dates, Admission Process

Government Medical College and Hospital Chandigarh MBBS admission is a multi-step process. It starts with registering for NEET UG, the accepted entrance exam, followed by the counselling process conducted by the MCC. All the steps included in the process of GMCH Chandigarh admission for MBBS are described below in detail:

Step 1: NEET UG Application Process

NEET UG is the medical entrance exam conducted by the NTA. Aspirants must visit the official exam website to apply for the exam. Before applying, candidates are required to complete the registration process to generate the login credentials. They can then proceed to log in using the generated credentials and fill out the detailed application form, which is to be submitted along with the required documents and the prescribed application fee.

Step 2: NEET UG Counselling

NEET-qualified candidates must register online at www.mcc.nic.in for All India Quota (AIQ) counselling. Candidates must register separately for the various counselling rounds, except the Stray Vacancy round. The registration process for MCC NEET Counselling includes choice filling and locking in the college preferences. During Round 1 of counselling, candidates must select MBBS at GMCH Chandigarh as their first choice. Choices once locked cannot be modified.

Step 3: Seat Allotment

Round-wise merit lists are released on the official website of MCC after each round of the counselling process. If a candidate manages to secure a seat in the first round of counselling, they can proceed with the final step. In case of non-allotment, candidates should register for further counselling rounds, which are Round 2, Mop-up round and Stray vacancy round. The merit lists are based on the choices filled by the applicants, their NEET UG ranks and the availability of seats.

Step 4: Document Verification & Fee Payment

Once the seat is allotted to a candidate, they must download the provisional allotment letter and report to the college for physical verification of documents on the scheduled date. After the document verification, selected candidates must submit the applicable GMCH Chandigarh fees to confirm their admission. The first instalment of the MBBS fee at GMCH College is INR 24,979.
