What you need to know before choosing this college.
Placements: The placement rate is very low, less than 50%. The highest package was 6 LPA, the average was 3 LPA, and the lowest was 1 LPA. But still, there are some top companies like Zoho that come for placements. 100% of every student will attend their internships. The companies hire students with high knowledge, and the roles offered are based on their knowledge. They may get into higher posts easily if they are so talented.
Infrastructure: The lab facilities are good, and there are enough computers. But every student doesn't get Wi-Fi access. The library has almost every book. Classrooms are spacious, but the availability of fans is less. The hostel is good. Food quality is above average, but the rotation of the food every week is the same. There is a available first aid kit in the hostel and every lab.
Faculty: The teaching quality is average, and the staff is not so helpful. We students don't get enough knowledge about our industry and the other jobs related to us. The toughness of the exams oscillates; sometimes it's easy and sometimes it's hard. But the pass percentage is high.
Other: Actually, this course was trending when I chose it. It was said the job availability will be high during the pass-out year 2026. So I chose this course. The course is good, but the teachers can't make us feel easy. The quality must be improved on our campus. There will be no festival celebrations, but there will be symposiums and culturals that too will happen rarely. Sports is a bit good. We are open to every tournament. Every student is provided with a scholarship, and the process is easy.

College was good before corona, but after corona placements are down .
Placements: 50–60% of students are placed in big companies or small companies. Less companies are coming like Zoho and other small companies. 30% of students got internships. All students are not placed in this department. If students try on their own, the 80 percent students get placed .
Infrastructure: Labs are good to study. The faculty members are average, and you have to gain knowledge and study yourself. Hostels are good; hostel food is average. Sports and games are good in this college. Medical facilities are not good. Mess is average because maintenance is not good
Faculty: If you are interested in your study, you develop your skill and knowledge. This course make students ready for high opportunity in this course Semester exams are difficult, but if you study well, you get a pass mark if any are easy to pass and get good marks.
Other: If my course has a lot of job offers.

It is a good college for your future.
Placements: ECE and CSE students generally got good placements. Placement percentage increases every year. Only a few students got placed through on-campus interviews, and others got jobs by attending off-campus interviews. Placement training and skills development cells are available in our college. Students got internships at companies like TCL, Infosys, etc. The minimum salary offered is about Rs. 35,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Generally, the ECE department has no signal inside the campus, so students and staff members are using college Wi-Fi. Labs are good with all facilities, and they have air coolers and proper instruments. Hostels are at affordable prices, and quality food is provided. Infrastructure is reasonable, but it needs some improvement. The library is provided with books of various domains, and individual sections are allocated for departments. Badminton court is available, and grounds for practice is available at both college and hostels. Medical facilities are provided in case of emergency. Canteen is temporarily closed now.
Faculty: All the teachers are good at their own subjects which they are handling. Most of the staff members are doctorates. They help us in all cases, like in projects, doubts, placements, etc. Staff members teach in a simple manner and interpret the concepts clearly. Curriculum and exam pattern are determined by Anna University Chennai, so it is not the college's issue.
Other: Scholarships are available for students, which is sufficient to pay the fee every year, including the hostel fee. Events are organised by seniors, which makes them responsible and develops their leadership skills. Extracurricular activities are encouraged, but the college expects students' interest. It forces you in nothing. So own interest and self-determination are very important, and without it, I suggest not to join in government colleges.

Teachers and students are friendly, and teachers clear doubts. I am highly satisfied.
Placements: Nearly 50% to 75% of the students from our course got placed in well-versed companies. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 1.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was about 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Infoview, Zoho, etc. The top role offered in our course is a software developer. About 10% of the students got internships in BSNL.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was awesome, and it is maintained very well. The campus is nature-friendly. There are tennis court facilities and football ground. In the hostel, the food served was not up to the level, and it is eatable. Sports are concentrated here well, and they should train well.
Faculty: Teachers here are well qualified, and they are more interested in providing training to students and make them learn more and gain knowledge. Our college will train every student by focusing on their strength and weakness and makes them get placed in a good company.
Other: I chose this course because I can opt for the software or core field in this course. I can gain knowledge in coding in both C language and embedded. I wish that our college should maintain the infrastructure inside the classrooms and should keep the area clean. Our college organises intra-college and inter symposium, sports day, hostel day and many events which are very fun and interesting.

The college life in GCE Tirunelveli is a little bit fair.
Placements: There are placements, but the number of students who got placed is less than 2. However, from some departments, more students would have been placed. But from our department, only 2 students got selected to work in Wipro and BHEL. If you have the interest to attend off-campus placements, you may get a chance to get placed in developed companies.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi facility in both college and hostel. However, there are well airy classrooms, which are huge enough to accommodate 80-90 students. The mess fee is moderate, and only vegetarian food is served. The hostel has more chances to participate in games. There are no medical facilities in our college.
Faculty: Teachers here are well qualified, helpful, kind and more knowledgeable than other colleges staff members. The course curriculum prepares students to make them industry-ready. The course curriculum is good, and it is relevant.
Other: I have chosen the electronics and communication engineering department, which is my favourite study. There were a few good things in our department. I wish that our college should provide a lot of equipment and well-trained laboratory instruction to make us practically ready.
