GCE TLY: A detailed review.
Placements: Placement in my college was top-notch. Around 100 companies came for placement. Most of them offered Full-Stack Development. I am currently working as a Data Engineer. There was training for placement, and it was mostly free. In my class, out of 65 people, 57 of them got placed.
Infrastructure: Hostel and food were fine. The hostel fee is around 20K for a year. Courses are under Anna University. The exams are the same as Anna University. The courses are fine. We also have practical courses like Naan Mudhalvan in Cloud, AU, Gaming, etc. Overall, alles war gut.
Faculty: The faculty was so supportive in all perspectives. We have two internals for each semester. We also have sports activities and college cultural events. The faculty members are so dedicated. They also provide very good practical knowledge of our courses. The lab facilities were fine. A good one.
Other: If you want to join a college like the ones shown in movies, definitely opt for this college.

Efficient college with a lot of placements.
Placements: In our course, about 65% of the students found gigs after graduation. The packages range from 3,80,000 to 1,40,000 on an average. We had TechWave, InnovateNow, and CodeCrafters scouting talent. Around 25% of the students got lucky in internships, mostly with DigitalDreams, NextWave, and SmartSolutions. The students bagged roles like that of software developer and UX/UI designer.
Infrastructure: The departments got your basics sorted including labs, classrooms, and a library. Hostel is livable, but could use a spruce-up. Food-wise, the mess and the canteen did their job well by nothing too fancy. There's a clinic nearby for those inevitable college mishaps, and sports if you're into that.
Faculty: The faculty is the real MVP. They're alright, you know, a mix of brains and heart, though some more real-world experience wouldn't hurt. The curriculum is decent, but could do with a bit more events, maybe some start-up fair. Race yourself up for your the exams, they're no picnics, with the passing rates floating around 60%, so keep those study sessions going.

Our college provides good placements and has good facilities.
Placements: Almost 96% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 8.6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.75 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Zoho, Wipro, TCS, etc. Almost 85% of students got internships in various companies like E-con Systems, Light and Wonder, TCS, and Wipro. Top roles offered are software developer, tester, and project manager.
Infrastructure: We have two labs in the department and one external lab with more than 170 computers with LAN connectivity which provides an unlimited network. The hostel maintenance is quite average, and the food has to be decided by us so we can change the menu. Sports are equally preferred to our studies.
Faculty: Every teacher put effort into students' knowledge and their great future. They are very knowledgeable and skillful. Our college is under Anna University. Our course is good. Semester exams are quite average. The pass percentage is 95%.
Other: Our college provides scholarships to students. Events are held very well and are enjoyable.

Excellent placements in 2021 - 2022 batch.
Placements: GCE TIRUNELVELI gave a drastic amount of placements in the year 2021 to 2022. Almost 274 students were placed in a year. Its record breaking experience for GCE TIRUNELVELI this year. I'm proud to be a part of the CSE department because out of 72 students, 68 students got placed in CSE. The highest package is 7 LPA by Zoho. Everyone who placed got an internship along with the job offer. Mostly software engineer is the role but some students opted to get into content writer, digital marketer, etc.
Infrastructure: Talking about facilities, there are two computer labs available but only one functions to its full efficiency. Every department has a separate block, that's the specialty of GCE. Mostly government colleges don't have this facility. Then, the food quality is extremely beyond what we expected because the canteen food is too good for a government college.
Faculty: The teachers help us in every possible way here. Because of their guidance, today we achieved 274 placements at one go. So, you can extremely go well with professors. Mostly, placement questions rely on our subjects. Pass percentage of our classes 95%. Talking about semester exams, question papers are from Anna University and its range is from medium to tough, not so easy.
Other: I wish everyone who opts to go for engineering should choose computer Science and engineering. Because eventually everyone comes to software engineer, so it's better to get the base strong by cleverly choosing this one. You can't expect many fests in GCE TIRUNELVELI because you have to struggle harder to get any functions. But if you get it, you'll enjoy to the core.

Overall, it is a good college, and everything is average here.
Placements: About 30-40% of the students get placed. Not a lot of companies attend campus interviews. It shows a lot of interest in the exams for marks, but I do not really focus on getting placed. It does not provide enough courage, and not enough teaching was provided towards placements.
Infrastructure: The whole college is surrounded by trees. It has environmentally rich surroundings. There is no Wi-Fi. Labs are good, but they could be better. The library is huge enough to store dust, but it does not have enough books. The hostel is average with small rooms and average food. Strict rules are followed here. Overall, it is average.
Faculty: Faculty members teaching quality has been improved quite over the years. It could be better. It does not make students industry-ready. It could be better if focused on a learning basis than just mindlessly memorizing it.
Other: It does not conduct many extracurricular activities. Yearly a students' day and hostel day celebration are conducted.

A day in my college which is very good.
Placements: Around 65% of students from my course ended up with job offers. Salary offers range between 380,000 at the top end and 140,000 at the lower end, with most falling somewhere in the middle. Companies like TechWave, InnovateNow, and CodeCrafters were regular recruiters. About 25% of students secured internships, often with start-ups like DigitalDreams, NextWave, and SmartSolutions. Common roles included software developed and UX/UI designer.
Infrastructure: The facilities on campus are decent enough. We have well-equipped labs, adequate classrooms, and a functional library. Living in the hostel is okay; it's not luxury living, but it's comfortable. The mess and canteen food is average, nothing to rave about but it gets the job done. There's a clinic nearby for health issues and sports facilities for those interested in keeping active. Overall, the essentials are covered.
