Our college produces some of the best dentists.
Placements: I got a 91% in my 12th grade and was accepted into a government dental college and hospital in July 2010. There is high merit for admission in the open category for that year. For OBC it is 86%, and for SS and STI it is around 77%. I completed my BDS course in the year 2015 and immediately started my own private clinic in Raipur city. Initially, earnings are low, but as time passes, they increase. There is a lot of scope after the BDS course. You can prepare for post-graduation to gain more skills and knowledge. You can try to start preparing for the government hospital job exam, and you can also join a private company as a dentist. But in all these criteria, you face tough competition because seats are fewer as compared to the number of candidates applying. You can do a post-grad course in oral and maxillofacial surgery, endodontics, or prosthodontics, after which you can earn some good money by opening a clinic or by doing a job. At this time, after 7 years of my clinic, I earn around 1 lakh per month, which increases gradually.
Infrastructure: There is a big separate hostel for both boys and girls on the campus. The hostel is clean and neat, with general washrooms for 10-15 rooms. There are geysers for hot water in the winter and a fridge for cold water in the summer. An RO plant is also available in the hostel, but it is not working. There is a large mess on the ground floor for which fresh food is available. Breakfast is not available in the mess, but there is a small canteen where snacks are available. Security is average in college. Cctv is there in some areas but not working. There is a security guard at the main gate and at the hostels and hospital gate. There is a big garden in the hostel but no playground for sports, so we go to a big ground in the city for cricket. But indoor games like chess, table tennis, and volleyball are played on hostel premises. There is a big library on the ground floor of the college with many important books which you can carry to the hostel for reading for weeks after you need to return them.
Faculty: Exams in our college are very tough. They ask many questions outside the book. You should read a minimum of 2-3 books per subject to pass the exams. There is a monthly assessment in which the head of departments takes a viva voce after the end of posting in each department, which counts towards final exams in some percentage. Final exams are a really challenging task. In the final months, you only eat, read, and sleep, otherwise, you are going to fail. The passing marks are 40%, but they do not give marks that easily. If you give a complete description of questions with adequate images, then you will get 60–65% of the marks only. Our course curriculum is related, and it completely prepares a normal student to become a doctor. You also learn how to talk to patients and how to solve their problems. This is very important, so these are the basic things you will engage in these days. If you completely focus and grasp those things, then you will become a good dentist after completing the courses.
Other: Our campus life is average. The main problem is that there is no big ground to play on after exam months. We have to go to other college grounds to play cricket and football. A big garden is available on campus, but it is not that clean for chilling. Our college organises a fest every five years in which students and dental doctors from the whole state come to our college. In the fest, there are many games like quizzes for gk and dental subjects, rangoli competitions, and drawing competitions. At the end of the fest, there is a paper presentation and a workshop on dental subjects is there. We all wait for that fest and it is organised by our dean. The surrounding environment of the campus is really good. There is greenery everywhere, so it is a beautiful and peaceful environment for reading. Because the hospital is on the outskirts of town, there is no traffic noise. But this creates a problem for connectivity. Buses are available for the college from the city, but the train station and airport are far away from it.

It is a decent college, and I suggest you do not expect much from it.
Placements: An internship is mandatory for us with a stipend of Rs. 12,500 per month. There are no placements. The hospital is good, and patient flow is good, so you get good practice. The fee is low, and you get a dental surgeon degree. It is a government college, so faculty members do not give much importance.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi in the hostel. There is no canteen. The hostel is decent. Games and fests are not held on a regular basis. Some departments are torching. The quality of the food served is decent. Classrooms are good in our college. A dormitory is available in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. Some teachers are helpful, and some or not. Their teaching quality is moderate. The course curriculum should be modified. Exams and vivas are also good. They do not give much time for preparation, and you have to make time for it. The pass percentage is 70%.
