Overall good performance.
Placements: Placements are generally low with recruiters from Schneider Electric and an average package of 3 LPA to 4 LPA. Most students got internships from FACT, IOCL, and KMML. Top roles include process engineer, oil rig management etc. Most students opted for M.Tech, and the rest of them are placed in many places around the globe.
Infrastructure: The hostel is not provided by the college, but lots of options in the surroundings with good food and facilities provided. We get Wi-Fi, good hotels, and homely food, but the girls' hostel is provided by the college, that is limited occupancy. There is a lot of greenery and nature around.
Faculty: Good teaching trains students for the industries by knowledgeable teachers and staff. Exams are pretty tough for the chemical engineering department. We need to work hard by referring to countless textbooks and in-depth knowledge to excel in chemical engineering.
Other: Good area with social life and lots of food and beaches.

For campus life, it is one of the best options for freshers.
Placements: Our computer science and design branch is a new course in even government colleges and our college. We are the 3rd batch of our course. There is a big hope of placements for our first graduation batch. There is no guranty of placements. ECE, AEI and other core branches have above-average packages.
Infrastructure: Our course doesn't have permanent faculty members. There are no permanent classes for students. Our seniors fight for these basic needs and after it even go to court. Now, they allowed 3 permanent faculty members for our branch. There is no boys' hostel in our college. Boys are living in private hostels with more than Rs. 5,000 per month fee. Girls stay in a government hostel. Its fee is around Rs. 3,500 with good rooms, food, and study facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified from IITs and other universities. Overall, the course curriculum is relevant and good. Semester exams are hard for first-semester students who have no idea. For others, there is no problem. There is no lab for the CSD course. Students are doing it privately by giving their own money.
Other: There are no permanent classes and lab facilities in our new course named CS and Design. Many campus programs are conducted. It will improve the overall connection between different branches and semester students.

College is small but located in the center of city, with nice infrastructure and decent placements.
Placements: As of now, there are no placements when I am writing this review because the course was introduced only 3 years ago. There are no batches have passed out yet. In other branches, software-based companies are recruiting, and internships are offered. Opportunities will be there.
Infrastructure: The hostel is excellent. Currently, only a girls' hostel is available. It provides Wi-Fi facility and three meals a day at an affordable price. The environment is good for studying. The hostel admission is based on KEAM score, distance, and reservation. Many PGs and private hostels are also available. Wardens are strict.
Faculty: Good faculty members are recruited by the government. The college conducts internal exams, and the end-semester exam is conducted by KTU. Two internal exams are held on the same day. The 2024 scheme syllabus is better than the previous one. The overall pass percentage of the college is 52%. Many students get a high CGPA if they study well.
Other: The campus is very small. Every programme is conducted. The college is located in the city.

GECK is a decent college that is good for building your career.
Placements: About 60-70% of students from branches like Computer Science Electronics & Communication get placed every year. For core branches like mechanical and civil, the placement percentage is lower (around 30- 40%), which is common in government colleges.
Infrastructure: We had excellent facilities including a central computing facility, a central library, a department library for core subjects, well working lab, and faculty members. Classrooms are big enough for students and are equipped with blackboards and projectors. Wi-Fi is available in the campus.
Faculty: Teachers here are well qualified. Most of them are M.Teach holders with Ph.D. The college is affiliated with KTU since it follows the KTU curriculum. Teachers are very reliable for asking and clearing doubts. As part of the curriculum, especially in later semesters. Students are required to do a mini project in S5 and a major project in the final year (S7-S8).
Other: I've chosen this course because I've got merit admission for this course and I always wanted to be an engineer. There are so many events conducted weekly. We have a small campus since we got a small life but the life outside is awesome.

Government engineering college Kozhikode.
Placements: In our batch of 77 students, the placement rate is quite high. Many students found jobs in top companies. The highest package offered can vary depending on the course, but it can be as high as Rs 10-12 LPA. The average package is usually around Rs 4-5 LPA, and the lowest package is typically around Rs 3 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies for engineering graduates in Kerala include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, L&T, and Cognizant. Many students also get internships at these and other top companies. The top roles offered are civil engineer and mechanical engineer.
Infrastructure: The Government Engineering College Kozhikode has good infrastructure for students. It has smart classrooms, quite big classrooms, and many labs and libraries. The college hostel is for ladies only. There is no men's hostel, but there are private hostels nearby.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and friendly. They are well qualified and knowledgeable, and they make sure that the classes are not boring. They are always willing to explain concepts that we don't understand. The curriculum is good, but mechanical engineering students need to refer to outside sources to be industry-ready.
